The sound was an assault on Allison’s ear drums. A loud ringing made it impossible to hear or to think, but she didn’t care. “Reid!” she screamed. Her body was desperate to see him, to get in his arms, flung forward only to be yanked back on her a*s. Her wrist was still cuffed to the damn van.
“Reid!” she cried, tears pouring down her face. One minute he was there and the next minute he was gone. The little s**t rolled on the ground beside her, wailing something about her being a b***h. She scurried to her knees and peered through the door out to the dark sky.
