Chapter Eight Jason came over early this morning, allegedly to cut the grass. The lawn was in pretty good shape, so I suspect he had other motivations. I was sitting by the fire pit when I spotted him across the yard. Deja vu all over again. Except this time I knew who he was and he knew who I was, and I even had a rough idea of why he'd come. Should I be ashamed that my heart jumped when I saw him? Not in a romantic way. Nothing like that.
