I woke up to my phone ringing. Good thing I picked it up right away before Denise woke up. I was spooning her so I moved away slowly to avoid waking her up. I opened the door and closed it quietly, then headed to the library. I locked the door before speaking on the phone. It was Mikhail calling.
He briefed me on Denise’s family’s situation and I was relieved to know that everything seemed to go well. They didn’t see any trails when they were transported. They have been tracking Kelly as well, and said she hasn’t left her hotel room since yesterday. They should be able to track her if she did, and they will be tailing her wherever she goes.
