♥ Denise’s POV ♥
I have been sitting in the bar for more than 30 minutes now, and there’s still no sign of Kelly anywhere. I ordered a bottle of water and have been nestling it since I got here. The only people who have approached me are drunk, seemingly horny men who either want to buy me a drink, dance with me, or take me somewhere quieter. I flat out rejected all of them saying that I’m waiting for my husband who is a policeman to come over soon. That seemed to work as none of them have persisted.
I don’t get why men are approaching me. I’m underdressed for the club. I wore jeans, a sweater and sneakers. I wanted to be comfortable just in case. I was about to take a sip of my water when another man approached me.
Man: “Hi Denise.”
Denise: “Jared? Hi, what are you doing here?”
