His story

Danny’s POV

“So where does Mars come in?” I ask dad

“Hold on! I am getting to that.” dad says back to me. 

“When all of this happened our leader decided to put the youngest son in hiding and have a stand in instead.” dad says

“So that stand in was Mars?” I ask dad 

“Are you going to let me speak?” dad asks 

I nod and just stare at him exaggerating 

“Mars is more than what everyone thinks. The true third son was hidden and his memory was taken away from him. Rumors have it, he was raised with the humans so that the head wife could never find him. He had a good life from what I heard but something happened. I am not  too sure he never spoke of it and that he was lost for decades. No one could find him after that, until he found her.” dad says looking at me 

“Paris?” I ask dad as he nods

“What does Paris have to do with the boss and Mars? She is just a mere mortal ”  I ask

“I was getting there.” dad says to me 

“A long time ago our boss now, since the old man retired, was found by a girl. He had lost his memories and searched for help and no one helped him until he found a girl. That girl left food for him everyday. She was maybe about  6 or 7 years old around that time. She cared for a stranger with no regrets with the purest of hearts. As the boss got his memory back and healed from his injuries he decided that he wanted to care and take her. He knew she was getting beat up by her parents so he decided that she would be his.” dad says back to me

“So????” I ask dad

“So as soon as he was done healing he would make his move and go back. He already remembered who he was and where to go; he just needed to wait for her to come see him. So he waited and waited and waited and she did not show up. Boss would go back there every week for years and still could not find her.” dad says 

“And Mars?” I ask

“He’s coming up now geez hold on.” dad says back to me 

“ During the upbringing of the family lines, the boss came back strong as ever and increased our territory lines in strength, business and so forth. Our great leader let the boss take over and retired proud of his grandson. Come to find out his human parents were a doctor and a lawyer. So he was well educated. During that time the boss found a man left for dead and made him his guard. And that is Mars.” dad says 

“Ah okay. So why do you look all scared of him if he is just the boss's head guard?” I ask dad

“Besides being the head guard for our own head boss, he is skilled in many ways. His powers are beyond a normal vampire and he has taken thousands and acres of land for his boss. He has never lost a fight and is just too powerful. I’ve seen him fight before and I'll always remember the time that guy asked him for mercy. All he said back was to ask for mercy in hell and just killed him. He slaughtered 2 whole covens within 3 hours.” dad says weakly 

Man my dad can fight and is well known for that in our coven, but I never would have thought he would be like this over someone else.  He truly must be this great. 

“But there is more.” my dad  says

“What do you mean more?” I ask my dad

“As you know, the eldest son's territory still thrives but they do not have a leader. They maintain themselves, but only want the blood of the leaders to take over them. And for the second son's territory, we of the 3 other families split the territory and govern our own under the new boss who was the standin. And then the third son’s territory was taken over by the true youngest son. So who should take over the 1st?” dad asks 

“During the fire, the head maid only had time to save the only son near her of the eldest sons. So she grabbed the nearest one and ran out. If she got both of them she would have never made it out. As she was running out she got caught up in the brush since the fire spread so far. She also lost her life that day. But your grandma was the one who saw what had happened. So she searched for the son, but he was no longer there.” Dad says to me as I look at him with a big, OH!

“Our family is the only family that knows about this so we told our leader as well. We have been searching for this boy for so long that our leader has shut himself away from the world until he found his grandson from the 3rd heir. When Mars was hospitalized after our last war our medic who is of course your mom, realized something about Mars blood.” dad says to me waiting for me to get what he means 

 “Wait so that means?” I ask dad

“Yes. That means he is the next head in line. Which also means you need to watch what you say and do around him.” dad says back to me 

“This is crazy. He was just a homeless guy and now this?” I ask dad

“Yes and we think the boss knows about this as well. So we are trying to figure out what boss is doing with Mars and how he is going to take care of this on his end. No matter what, boss is now boss. And he does have the blood for their line, but I think the first line clan has a feeling that their heir is somewhere they just don’t know exactly where.” dad says to me 

“So what does that mean for us?” I ask dad

“We will always be obliged to our leader no matter what. So as of now, make friends with Mars and don’t piss him off. We might not be an heir to the family, but we are still a powerful one in this coven so don’t mess this up for us.” dad says back to me 

“Okay okay I get it.” I say back to dad. 

“Seriously son don’t!” dad says back to me as I walk away from him
