Ember is later than usual, and as I wait in the darkness with our now (almost) 14-year-old twins, I look at them and really try to see them for the young adults they are becoming. It has always amazed me at the rate of which they grow, even mentally, they grow as fast as their body. Xander and Kieran do not seem to be alarmed about how fast the twins grow. The twins are part Fae, so I guess this is normal for them. Wolves grow faster than a human does as well, but not like this. In a year, maybe two, the twins may be at their full size. In reality, the twins are now barely a year old. Ember has been gone for so long that she's missed almost nine months of their life. It's been hard on all of us.
