It was the last day of Ela's stay in Chennai. In the previous week, time flowed like water and I couldn't believe that he had to leave the next day. Usually, he would come to pick me up from college at around four but today I had asked him to come at one-thirty. I had planned to bunk my classes post-lunch break. It was hard to convince Ela but he eventually gave up and agreed to it.
Ithu had decided to cut the classes for the day but that wasn't what surprised me the most. It was when I saw Navil standing with Ela.
"What are you doing here?" I asked the moment my eyes landed on him.
"Surprise.." He beamed, displaying all his pearly white teeth which would for sure make his dentist very proud of him.
"Don't tell me you are coming with us.." Ithal said, faking annoyance at him.
