I lay my head on Ela's chest as I rubbed my thumb on his slightly stumbled jaw. I was supposed to be in my class which I obviously bunked. Aadhi dropped me at college this morning but instead of going inside, I walked here to be with Ela. After having breakfast together, we remained cuddled against each other. Neither of us spoke much, the anxiety of separation weighing on us.
I turned up my face and saw the worry-etched face of Ela. Sensing my eyes on him, he forced himself to smile and pecked the tip of my nose.
"When will you come back?"
"I can't tell for sure.." He secured his arms around me, keeping me firmly against him. "But the moment I get a chance I will come to you.."
