Chapter 15
“Welcome to my humble abode,” Alan said, mimicking Jim’s words from last Monday.
Jim laughed as he took off his jacket. “Thanks. It’s f*****g freezing outside.”
“I noticed when I came home from work. At least it’s not snowing. I’ve got coffee brewing, to warm you up,” Alan said after Jim had hung up his jacket on a hook by the door.
“Lead me to it. But first…” Jim wrapped his arms around Alan’s waist. “I need a kiss.”
“I think I’ve got one to spare,” Alan replied with a smirk, before demonstrating. When the kiss ended, he took Jim’s hand, leading him to the kitchen.
“Something smells good,” Jim commented, taking the cup of coffee Alan handed him.
“Shepherd’s pie, the way my mother used to do it. I’m sure she made it up off the top of her head, but it’s good, and easy.”
