Christmas was finally here and the family was gathered in front of the tree after having such an amazing dinner from Sicily's parents.
I had to admit, their food was just the best I've ever tried. It brought so much comfort in me.
"Eva, honey. Do you mind bringing the tray with hot chocolate to the living room?" Sicily's Mom asked.
"Sure!" I replied, cheerfully. I haven't felt this happy since we lost Dad, and I was sure Levi felt the same. Our stepmom had lost all contact with us, but we didn't dwell on it. She never loved us anyway.
Whoever surrounded me was what mattered and they were here, showing me how much they cared. As I carried the tray to the living room, I could see the guys trying to put the star at the top of the tree, but failing to do so.
