This Can't be True!

~Aliyah’s POV~ The black dress was a perfect fit. It had thin straps and pretty black floral stitching. I finished my soft makeup look with a brown nude lipstick. I looked at myself and smiled, feeling completely beautiful and confident. I didn't care what doubts I had; I knew I looked great. “Great, huh? You look as dreamy as your pathetic delusional thoughts,” Ellen mocked. “At least I’m livelier than being bloody…” I growled. “Don’t let her affect you… You look stunning. She’ll anyways be gone soon,” Lizzy calmly said, making me smile. At least one of them was with me. The morning events started to cloud my head and my back hit the mattress, ruining the curls that I gave to my honey blonde hair. But I care less about them right now. His eyes... They were still haunting me… And they will keep haunting me till Ellen stays with me. I hope everything goes well tonight… I vividly remember the last party I attended in my pack… My impression of the party was so bad that people were scared to come up to me. I know it wasn’t me… It was Ellen… Still, the horrifying faces didn’t go unnoticed by me. Though she didn't show fangs or her blood red eyes, her paranoid behaviour was enough to scare them away. I won’t let Ellen take over my body this time… Either I will attend the party in control or I’ll leave the party. I won’t let her create terror for anyone this time. “What’s troubling you now?” I heard Carter’s voice. I stood from the bed and smiled, “Nothing…” I gave him a tight hug and smiled, “Once again… Happy birthday, cousin! I know I wasn’t here last night but…” “Thank you, little cousin. I know what happened last night… You don’t have to explain yourself… I am glad you came and looked after everything. But, what’s troubling you? And don’t tell me it’s those vampires jumping back in your head,” He asked, holding me by my shoulders. I was about to say something when Damien entered the room, shaking his head, “Just like usual, she is worried about Ellen.” I sighed, they both know me well. I don’t think there is any point in lying to them. “But this time, I’ll handle it,” I confidently smiled. “That’s my baby sis… How about we go downstairs and enjoy the party that my darling cousin and my precious mate hosted for me?” Carter wriggled his brows. “And who knows if you find your mate tonight and put an end to this thing at the right time? I just hope he'll not try to touch you in front of me,” Damien said, showing pure disgust on his face. Carter agreed with him, “I hope that too.” I laughed; neither did I want him to touch me in front of them. ****************************************** ~Louis’s POV~ “I would have burned the whole pack along with all those pack wolves who are in the Dark Moon pack tonight… It was a win for us in every way! Why don’t you let me?” Samuel asked me. I scoffed, “That would be too easy for them… I want them to experience hell on earth.” I know what I am doing. Abel was my cousin too. I will not let anyone live who would destroy my family. Abel’s last memory and colourless eyes were still in my memory. Fresh as a daisy. Damien Knight not only killed him, but he tore him apart like a monster. Ripped his chest open, so deep, so bad, his cold, dead heart was visible. Shredded into pieces. I'll make these werewolves suffer a hundred times more than my cousin did. Damien Knight will go through the same pain Abel did. “Don’t leave any traces behind. I don’t want them to know that their precious daughter and sister have been taken away by vampires,” I told my men. “But why? We are not afraid of anyone…” Samuel hissed. “We aren’t… But my father has a treaty with the werewolf king. None of them should know that vampires are involved in this. I don’t care about the werewolf king, but, my father… You know him,” I answered. I don’t give a damn about the werewolf king. Doesn’t matter if the werewolf king was Knight’s cousin, but my father does matter to me. I can’t break the law set by him until he asks me to do so. And right now, he doesn’t know about Abel’s death or what we are up to. Neither do I want him to know. Abel was nothing to him but to me, he was my best man. My cousin. And no one lives to see another day after hurting my people. But with werewolves… I’m gonna be different. Not just a killer or bloodsucker but way more evil and invincible. My phone buzzed with the message for which I had been waiting for the past hour, and I smirked; she was going to be here soon. “Use the scent suppressants once again and reach the place that I mentioned to you earlier. Aliyah Knight won’t take long to be our guest for the short span of her life.” *************************** ~Samuel’s POV~ I don’t know how Louis was so confident about that b***h coming to us on her own, but two things I was sure about, if he said she would, she would. And another, I will make her scream for mercy till her throat gives up and her family dies at least ten times a day. Soon, I found a smirk making its way to my face. A girl dressed in a black dress came running in my direction. The same honey skin with honey blonde hair and tall height… No wonder why Abel chose to go after her. My time with this girl is going to be way more amazing than I expected. I heard some footsteps approaching her while she ran fast and I quickly took the handkerchief out of my pocket. Nodding to my men real quick, I approached the girl in a second, covered her mouth, and took her away from the eyes that were following her. Quickly throwing her over my shoulder, I disappeared into thin air. Vicious ideas flew through my head with a smirk appearing on my face. Knights will never find her. At least not alive… **************************************** ~Aliyah’s POV~ Uh… Oh god…. What’s wrong with me? Why was my head spinning? Goddess… My whole body was aching. It feels like someone threw me across the room. I slowly opened my eyes but to my surprise, everything was dark around me. Were my eyes even open? I tried to sit and… Wait, why does it feel like ground instead of a bed? My eyes shot open and I gazed everywhere around me. There was nothing but darkness! It was so dark that I couldn’t even see my hands and legs! I was not at my place. I couldn’t see it but I could feel it! Fuck… Where the heck am I? Why… Why was it so dark? “Mom! Dad!” “Damien! Carter! I swear, if this is any prank, then I am gonna kick your asses! Switch on the lights!” I yelled and mindlinked my family again and again but there was no response. No… My family doesn’t play with me like this… They know I can’t handle darkness. I even keep the lights on when I sleep! “Mom? Dad? Uncle Liam? Damien!” Why the heck was no one responding? Wait… My mind link… I focused on my mindlink with my family and pack. My eyes widened. My connection with my family was severed! I couldn’t reach them… I couldn't ’t even feel them! My breathing turned heavy, and my heart started pounding so loud it echoed in my ears. Tears blurred my vision, but it didn’t matter. I couldn’t see anything anyway. Everything around me felt too close, too tight, like the air itself was pressing against my chest. I tried to move, but my legs wouldn’t listen. It felt like I was glued to the floor, trapped in the dark, gasping for air that just wasn’t enough. “Li… Lizzy…?” I called my wolf but again, I was greeted with silence. No… She was supposed to be with me. She was inside me… Why can’t I feel her? “Lizzy? Lizzy talk to me!” “She won’t… She is in a long sleep…” Ellen… Goddess, I was never happy to hear her voice until today. “Do you know what happened?” I asked Ellen. “No and calm down. You are giving me a headache.” Headache? My heart has started to burn with such blackness around me! “You know… I… I can’t… I’ll freaking die because of this darkness!” I hiccuped and held my chest tight. “I know you are claustrophobic and all but if you want to get out of this situation, you need to calm your ass down,” Ellen hissed. I know... But what I don’t know is how the f**k did I end up in a room like this! I was… I was in the Dark Moon pack attending a party. Then how did I end up here? And what happened to Lizzy? It wasn’t possible to see anything around me; the only thing I could hear was my own racing heartbeats and heavy breaths. My cheeks and neck were wet with tears and I felt like I would pass out any moment. “Give control to me. I will find a way out…” Ellen said. ‘I will find my way…’ I heard that before… Ellen said the same thing at the party. The flashback of the party started to appear in my head. I was thinking about when and why she said that when suddenly I saw some light coming from my left, and I ran for my life. It was a door that was ajar but I was thankful for it. I quickly opened the door and started running in the hallway in front of me. I ran for a few seconds, and then my legs froze, and my eyes widened. Though I could see everything around me, everything was still so creepy. All the walls were black and there were large curtains of black and red at the end of the hallway. There were lamps with dim yellow light and… Portraits… What the hell? Who would hang posters like this in their own house? Pictures of people biting into women’s necks covered the walls, blood dripping down in every one of them. I swallowed hard. Why… why does it feel like I’ve walked straight into hell? “And why do I feel like I am in heaven? Because this place looks like it belongs to someone from my kind,” Ellen chirped. No… It can’t be… A vampire? Again? “It looks like the beauty is awake from her sleep…” A deep manly voice reached my ears. His harsh yet deep voice sent shivers down my spine and I tightly clutched my dress from the sides. I took a deep breath and slowly turned around. My whole body froze. A man was standing there, staring right at me with blood-red eyes and a wicked smirk on his face. The air around me felt heavy, and my breath got stuck in my throat. My eyes met his, and I inhaled sharply. No… this can’t be true. This… This can’t be true! “This is freaking true! This is awesome! Ha! You wanted to get rid of me now you can’t. You got a vampire mate!” No, no, no, no… This can’t be possible… A vampire mate? Why moon goddess why? He slowly walked towards me and even though I wanted to run, I found myself waiting for him to reach me. His every step toward me made my heart beat at a faster pace, and I bit my lower lip; I don’t want to say this, but… He looked handsome. His cleanly shaved face with a pointy chin and plumped lips looked… Oh goddess, what the heck was wrong with me? I shouldn’t be thinking such things right now! He was only a few inches away from me when someone grabbed my neck from behind and licked my earlobe which made me scream and shiver in terror, “No!” “You should have said this to your brother…” The person behind me whispered in my ear. I looked at my mate for help, but he smirked at me and clicked his tongue, “You enjoyed seeing our people dying; now, we will enjoy making the princess of Knight’s suffer…”
