A Trap

~Aliyah’s POV~

Didn't he feel our bond?

How could he let this happen with me in front of him?

The guy holding my hair wasn’t visible to me but I could tell he was the same guy who... Oh, god. How do I escape him?

The way he was dragging me back into the room I escaped and laughing at me, confirmed to me that I wouldn’t be able to escape from his clutches easily.

“Please stop,” I begged.

“He must have said the same thing,” He yelled at me and threw me on the ground.

What the f**k was wrong with this guy? And more than him… What the f**k was wrong with him…?

Slowly turning my gaze back to the man who was destined to be mine, I winced. His eyes were shining in the brightest shade of red and his fangs were out. He watched me like a wolf watches a stray, waiting to strike.

Tears poured out of my eyes. I get he is a vampire but don’t vampires love their dearest? Or my mother was born because of some default in the vampire race?

“Why are you doing this with me?” I asked.

Muffled cries and tears came out of my eyes as I sat straight. I faced my mate and the darkness in his eyes made me gulp. He looked like he could eat me alive.

He kneeled to my level, a smirk made its way on his face as his fangs slowly disappeared.

“You should be asking this to yourself. No… Maybe your brother…”

My brother? But…

Oh, goddess… Were they related to the vampires Damien killed?

“You are taking it all wrong it wasn’t-“

“Shut the f**k up, b***h!”

The slap hit hard, throwing my head against the wall. Pain burst through my skull, and the room started to spin. My vision blurred as darkness slowly crept in

But before losing consciousness, his face with a satisfied smirk came into my view which gave me piercing pain in my heart.

He was born for me but he wasn’t mine… He was meant to protect me but he was the one destroying me.

Before I could open my eyes, a wincing sound came from my mouth, and I gradually began to remember why I was in pain.

Once again, tears started to roll out of my eyes and I clutched my head tight. It wasn’t my fault! I did not go to that vampire, he came to me! Why do I have to endure this? That too through my... mate’s hands…

I can’t believe he slapped me. I never saw my father even yelling at my mom and here, my mate freaking slapped me. He wasn’t even fazed by his actions, he just… He just kept laughing at me. How could the moon goddess choose him for me?

Every inch of my body was aching in pain. It wasn’t easy for me to do the simple task of sitting without crying my heart out. My head, arms, and back… Everything felt as if it were broken.

My head was cold. I could feel the unsettling smell of... blood.

Blood. Between vampires.

No... That’s not how I wanted my life to be with my mate… It was easier being a hybrid rather than meeting my mate.

But I freaking don’t understand how I ended up here. I was at the party and…

*** Flashback***

My eyes were fixed on Eiden while he played with other kids in the pack. Everyone was dancing inside the packhouse and I was outside the packhouse with some other women who were watching their kids having a pool party.

Everything was going fine until two kids started to fight and one of them pushed the other one. The kid fell to the ground and his knee started to bleed.

His bleeding knee caught my attention and I noticed every eye was on me. Ellen was trying to take control of my body. I had to control her.

I quickly made my way inside the packhouse but I smelled blood inside the packhouse too. Too much blood was making Ellen lose control so I had no other option but to leave the Dark Moon packhouse for others and my safety.

The walk in the forest did make me feel calm and I was ready to head back when the strong scent of blood entered my nostrils. The trail of blood going deep into the forest snatched the hold of my body from me, giving all control to Ellen.

I couldn’t stop her, nor could Lizzy. The sight of fresh blood lying on the ground and its strong smell made Ellen so powerful that she ran after the trail of blood.

I already mind-linked Mom and Dad to come and save me from becoming a killer tonight but Ellen was running like wind that I didn’t notice when I crossed the pack boundaries.

I came a long way but still, my legs weren’t tired. The only thing that was on my mind was the blood that was in my view, and when I finally thought I reached the source of the endless blood, someone covered my nose, and I blacked out.

***Flashback ends***

It was a trap. Someone guided me out of the pack boundaries.

Damn it!

Someone from the werewolf race helped those vampires! But why? I didn’t do wrong to anyone!

“Your existence was enough to drive people crazy around you. I’m sure your own people betrayed you for the same reason,” Ellen said.

“Where the f**k were you when they were being assholes with me?” I yelled at her.

She was the only one excited after knowing I was mated to her kind then where the f**k was she when he treated me like a piece of s**t?

“Oh, you deserved that. I was just sitting and enjoying."

She wasn't even worth calling a b***h. She freaking enjoyed watching me suffer and being creeped out by someone in the ugliest way.

"You do realize that someone... Someone other than our mate put his hands on me. My body! He... He f*****g licked my ear!"

If Ellen were a person, I would have gotten into an ugly fight with her. How could she just sit and watch it all with no conscience?

"Oh, he'll pay for that. Now, I'm going to see my mate," She sweetly answered.

Her mate? Not even over my dead body…

“Don’t think about her, Aliyah. We need to get out of this place. I am back in my senses, let’s leave,” Lizzy said.

“Lizzy? Where were you before?” I asked Lizzy.

“They mixed a strong scent of perfume with some wolfsbane and chloroform. I don’t know how long I was out but I know we need to get out of this place ASAP,” She answered.

We do.

I was in the same room as earlier but thankfully this time it had some dim lights in the room. I walked to the door and found it was unlocked.

“I won’t let you leave,” Ellen hissed.

“Give control to me and sit back. I will control this leech and find a way out of this place,” Lizzy said with determination.

I did as she said and sighed, I would prefer to be a hybrid for life but not his mate…
