I immediately take Cathy outside. Five minutes later, Carl is still inside and Catherine won't calm down. I am still slightly in shock but now is not the time for it.
"Shhh.. It's okay baby. You're safe with daddies. Please calm down, baby. You will make yourself sick with all the crying." I rub her back and bounce her. I try to put her pacifier inside her mouth but she spits it right out. She is holding onto my shirt like her life depends on it and just crying. I call Carl on his phone while bouncing Cathy in my arms. He needs to come outside. I hope he is not fighting with Axel.
He comes storming and pulls Cathy off my arms and hugs her tight. She is crying. She makes grabby hands to me and pulls us both in a hug.
"P-please don't send me b-back. I w-will be good, I promisee." She sobs
