ALLISON'S POV
I stood there frozen, watching Brady with both shock and horror. My heart was pounding so loud, I was sure he could hear it. He locked the door with a snap. He had this huge sinister smile on his lips, and then, to my disbelief, he pulled the key from the lock and, in one smooth motion, swallowed it.
I gasped in horror. I felt my stomach twist. My mind screamed at me to run, to get out of there but now it wasn't possible. He stood by the door. His eyes were locked on mine with an intensity that made my skin crawl.
“Well, now that we’re all alone, I think it’s time we got to know each other… better,” he said.
“No… no, please,” I stammered.
Panic rose like a wave inside me, flooding every inch of my being. I was trapped here with him. And he looked every bit the monster
