ALLISON'S POV
Alpha Alex wanted to see me… tonight. Hulk seemed just as embarrassed as I was. Maybe even more. After he delivered the message, he walked away.
I was left with a dozen questions and a fast beating heart.
Why did he want to see me so late? And alone? Where was Wendy? Did she know about this?
I couldn’t help but feel a strange excitement. I felt a bit... hopeful. Could the twins have figured it out? Did they know we were mates?
I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself as I got up and straightened my dress. My hand brushed against my chest where my wolf stirred, restless and eager. The mate bond moved faintly between us, and I couldn’t deny the pull that I felt toward Alex and his brother. But they’d shown no signs of feeling it—at least not yet.
After one last deep breath, I headed down the hall to his study. I lifted my hand and knocked.
“Come in,” he called.
I stepped inside and shut the door softly behind me. Bowing my head, I greeted him respectfully. “Alpha, you sent for me.”
"Hello Allison" he said "Yes, I did. Sit"
I moved to sit, keeping my head slightly down as I settled into the seat. The silence between us was thick and my wolf was all too aware of his presence. I could feel the mate bond faintly. It was a magnetic force that pulled me to him. My heart raced as I wondered if he felt it too.
“Do you know why I called you here, Allison?” he asked.
I swallowed, feeling my cheeks warm. “No, Alpha.”
He leaned back, folding his hands and studying me carefully “I need your help with something… important. It’s a favor, and I can assure you, you’ll be rewarded for it.”
My breath hitched. A favor? A reward? Part of me knew I should ask questions, be cautious—but I was already nodding, eager to please him
. The idea of helping him, of being useful to him, had my wolf practically vibrating with happiness. “Of course, Alpha. I’ll help in any way I can.”
He studied me for a moment, then nodded. “Good.”
He turned his head toward the door and called out to one of the maids. She entered a moment later carrying a garment bag. She handed it to him before stepping back and bowing out of the room.
He held the bag out to me as he stared at me intensely
“Put this on,” he instructed.
I took the bag from him. My fingers trembled slightly as I unzipped it and saw the dress inside. It was a tight-fitted red dress that would hug every curve of me. The dress was stunning. I wondered if I could pull off something this beautiful. My heart skipped a beat as I looked up at him. I was shocked and a little unsure. “You… want me to change… here?”
“Yes,” he said simply.
My breath caught as I hesitated. I looked at the dress, then back at him. But the way he looked at me, the intensity in his eyes—it was like a force pressing down on me. I couldn’t refuse. Not that I wanted to.
I got up and turned slightly. I slowly reached for the zipper of my dress, trying to keep my movements steady. I didn't want him to realize how nervous I was. I could feel his eyes on me. His gaze sent a thrill through my body. The fact that he was watching me made me want to put on a show for him. I should feel some type of way but I loved it. I wanted to be the center of his attention, the only thing he had his eyes on.
I slipped out of my dress. Luckily, I was wearing tights. A part of me felt exposed, vulnerable but another part… liked it. I liked that he was watching me.
I slid into the red dress and adjusted it to fit me. The dress fit perfectly. It hugged my figure in a way that made me feel powerful. I pulled the zipper up and took a deep breath before turning back to face him.
A slow smile spread across his lips as he looked at me “Perfect.”
He reached out and handed me a black wig. “Put this on,”
I did as he asked. I placed the wig over my hair and adjusting it until it looked just right. I caught sight of myself in the mirror on the wall, and for a moment, I hardly recognized the woman staring back. The dress, the wig—it transformed me into someone mysterious, someone different. I didn't look like the timid Allison everyone knew. I looked bolder.
I looked like the woman Draco wanted me to be. The thought of Draco sent a shiver down my spine and not in a good way. I imagined what he would be doing right now. Was he looking for me? Wendy was one of his favorites. I doubted he would just let her go like that.
I shook my head, snapping out of my thoughts. I'm safe now. Draco couldn't find me here. I had to take my mind off him. Draco was my past and this palace was my future.
I turned back to Alex "Do you like it, your highness?"
"I love it. It suits you even more than I imagined"
“I'm sorry to ask but I'm a bit curious. Is this… for some kind of event?”
He stood up and walked closer to me “Not exactly. I need you to help me capture someone.”
My brows furrowed in confusion, and I couldn’t help but ask, “Capture who?”
He leaned forward. “A predator. Someone who has been slipping through the cracks and causing problems for our pack.”
I could feel my pulse quicken as soon as he said that. He wanted me to catch a predator? Alone? That was why he called me here?
"What?" I shrieked.
