CHAPTER 4
Ricky walked with Derk through the park. Children ran around aughing and playing ball as men and women played football, volley ball, and Frisbee.
Grills were lit and food was being eaten, but all Ricky could think about was the fact that he was walking side by side with his mate.
"Do you want to go anywhere in particular?" Derk asked softly.
Shrugging, Ricky whispered, "There's a pond in the woods we can go to. Joop might be there, but if I ask for some privacy, he'll give it to me."
Nodding, Derk said, "Show me the way."
Ricky nodded as he said, "I believe you already know the way."
Derk's eyes went huge and Ricky laughed, "What, you didn't think I would scent that you were there? My skunk may not see well, but we have a sense of smell like no one else."
