Mia held her daughter tightly as they slipped themselves under one of the covered tables in the kitchen. Loud roaring of guns are heard just outside the room. She bit her lip to keep her from sobbing as an excruciating pain registered on one of her legs.
She was shot!
Silent tears fell from her cheeks.
She wanted to shook her head and wish that everything was just a dream. That when she opens her eyes, she would be in her bed in the confinement of their bedroom.
She slowly opened her eyes and gasped as she realized that she and her daughter are really frantically hiding underneath a table.
It also means that Alberto-her husband, was killed just moments ago by their new bodyguards. She felt her whole body trembled as she contained herself from weeping.
