Chapter Thirteen
It was ten o’clock when Christian reached Great Bear Lodge. He’d ridden alone to see his father, after quickly telling Lottie his plans. Not anxious to see Samuel Remington again, Lottie decided not to join him. She reasoned with Christian that her presence would only complicate matters with the old man.
