Chapter 12: Revelation
After his call to his parents, Morgan got up and wandered into the kitchen. There was no one there. He was beginning to feel hungry and spied a bowl of fruit on the counter. He took an apple and ate.
A bit more exploration revealed that the house was indeed empty. Miriam was probably in the shop, Robert in his studio, and James…? Morgan realized he didn’t know what James did with his day. He’d met Morgan for lunch yesterday, so Morgan assumed he must work here at Agawa as did the rest of the family. But just what James’ role was, Morgan didn’t have a clue.
Morgan entered the carving shop. Miriam was behind the counter. Sarah was walking around with a feather duster, dusting off the carvings. She looked up as Morgan came into the shop.
