Annalise's POV
I turn on my heels, trying to find the source of the booming voice. Small streams of heated mist rise from the cracks in the ground, as the smell of sulfur fills the air. The walls are pitch black and overhead is an endless dark abyss. The soft glow of burning embers littered the ground as an eerie silence filled the room. I took a step to my left and almost lost my footing as the ground plateaued suddenly.
"You came here for answers, Annalise Pierce. Ask away." The voice boomed once more.
"Who are you?" I asked, swiping at the beads of sweat on my forehead.
"I am the ruler of Hell. The keeper to the gateway for all souls tainted. I am the God of the underworld. Son of Cronus, brother of Zeus." The voice echoed all around, making the ground shake and the walls to shift,
