Chapter Thirty-One
Tina was seething.
It had been a long time since she had felt the burning anger that used to consume her in the days of her marriage to Dexter. It was not a good memory.
What did he think he was?
But she couldn’t dwell on it. First, they had to get out of here.
The docks area was in chaos. They came past places where station employees were trying to stop people entering ships that were closed, past families begging anyone who looked like a merchant for passage off the station, people trying to barter their valuables for a ticket. People overwhelming ticket counters, people holing up a flight crew officer in a corner. One guard who came out of a slide passage was washed away by the stream of people.
The place had descended into chaos.
