(MARILYN’S POV)
I followed mum in to my room with my heart racing faster than ever as I shut the door behind me. I thought my heart was going to explode from my chest. But that was not the only thing I thought, I thought about a million other things one of which was, HOW THE HELL DID MUM FIND OUT?.
She patted the space beside her as she was seated on my bed and I joined her nervously.
“So, are you going to talk to me or what?” She asked me.
I could barely look her in the face. My hands were shaky and I was feeling like I would soon be out of breath.
“Um…”
“Stop stammering and start talking young lady. Pretending is not going to get you away from the reality of what happened you know?” She continued and right then I actually thought that I might faint.
