(MARILYN’S POV)
The day of the youth festival came as fast as I hoped it would. I was bored of being locked in my room all day and I was avoiding going around the house or the ranch for fear of running in to the grumpiest cowboy ever.
It was days since the dinner we had at Lilliana’s, almost a week to be precise since Louis and I had the brief exchange in the backseat. We have not said a word to each other since then, neither have we looked each other directly in the eyes for longer than two seconds. It was not a chill couple of days and I was excited that I was finally going to have fun and I was even more excited to be spending it with my new friend, Mia.
She came to the house to pick me up and mum happily brought her to my room where I was getting ready.
