The good girl is changing me

Chapter twenty-two - Feelings

Aaron's POV:

I am glad that I didn't beat up Ricky. Chloe was right that I might get in big trouble if I do it. I don't know why she was crying after the match, but I know that she is not mad at me. Actually, I think that she was happy that I didn't do it and listened to her. This girl is my life savior. I don't know what I was going to do without her. I feel like every minute, which I spend with her is like an expensive gift. Maybe I am exaggerating a little bit, but I appreciate the time, which we spend together. Up to now, I haven't thought about her in a different way, but lately, I feel like if one day everyone understands about us and she chooses her friends, I will be sad. It's not like she is the most important thing in my life, but she definitely has her special place. I hope that one day I will be able to tell her that.  

In the morning, I woke up next to the cute sleeping Chloe. To be honest, I don't remember much what has happened last night. After the match, we walked home and I gave alcohol to Dani and me and juice for Chloe. Then I have no idea what we have done. Maybe she could tell me when she wakes up. I hope that I haven't done anything stupid. As much as I would like to do something more with her, except the usual friendship things, I want to be sober. I definitely was drunk, since I don't remember much. 

I got up from bed and walked downstairs. I saw Dani sleeping in my parents' room. How it looks like he was drunk as well and won't be able to tell me what has happened. I walked back into my room and laid down. Chloe was still sleeping and I decide to not wake her up. It was early so she can sleep for a while. Moreover, it's the weekend so we don't have to go to school. I started playing with her hair but stopped when I saw that she moved. I thought that she will wake up, but no. She only came close and snuggled. 

- I guess that this is your favorite thing. Well, not only yours. - I said and kissed the top of her head

I looked at my phone and saw that it was 9:30 am. I have to make breakfast, but at the same time, I don't want to leave her. I slightly moved to give her some space and put my hand on her cheek. I started rubbing it and saw a smile on her face. Probably she is dreaming of something or someone. Soon she slowly opened her eyes and looked at me. I gave her a smile and she snuggled again.

- Good morning. How did you sleep?

- Very good. What about you?

- Same. I want to ask you something.

- Ok, go on. 

- What happened last night?

- What do you mean?

- I know that after the match, we walked home, but then I don't remember much. 

- Both of you with Dani got drunk. Then for some reason, you grabbed me by my waist and put me on your shoulder. Later both of my legs were on each of your shoulders and like that you started walking around the house with me on top of you. I asked you to let me down, but you didn't do it. You and Dani drank until midnight and later both of you went to bed. I wanted to go home, but you said that you want me to sleep here. I gave up because you were drunk and there was no point in fighting with you. I was about to go to the room next to yours, but you grabbed my hand and dragged me into your room. I agreed to this as well and when you gave me clothes, I changed and went to sleep. Later you snuggled in me with a back hug. That's it. Did I answer your question?

- And it was only sleeping?

- Yes. Don't worry, nothing else happened. I wasn't going to allow it when you are drunk. After all, I want you to enjoy the things, which you are doing. 

With that, I looked at her. Did she just say that she wants something to happen between us, but only when I am sober? Is there a chance that she likes me? I don't think so. Yes, we are friends, but I don't think that she will want a troublemaker to be her boyfriend. Not like I have asked her. 

- What are you trying to say?

- That I wasn't going to stop you if you were sober and still wanted something. 

- Are you trying to say what I think you are trying to say? - I asked and she started laughing

I knew that she is not serious. I wish that she was. Chloe kept laughing until I put my hand on her mouth and looked her in the eyes. She didn't even try to remove it. Both of us were staring at each other the same way as when was the game between our schools. It feels like we are the only people here and there is no one else. I slowly removed my hand from her mouth and put it on her waist. She didn't say anything and kept looking at me. I don't know why, but I want to kiss her so bad right now. With the corner of my eyes, I saw how she licked her lips. I have to control myself, but it's very hard when she is acting like this. I won't lie that this is the first time when a girl who is doing absolutely nothing, has this effect on me. I thought that we'll stay like that forever, but Dani walked into the room and we quickly pulled away. Not like I was making out with her, but I don't want him to make conclusions. 

- I'm sorry to interrupt you, but I was wondering do you want us to order food for breakfast?

- Yes, why not? I'm getting hungry. - Chloe said innocently

- Ok, I will go and order something. - he said and left

- I will go a take a shower. You can do whatever you want. - I said and walked into the bathroom

After not more than twenty minutes, I walked out of the bathroom and saw that Chloe has changed and now is laying on my bed. Something that I forgot is that there is a girl in my room and I can't walk shirtless. At least not in front of her. I saw that she was checking me out, which made me chuckle. I was about to put on a shirt, but then another idea came to my mind. I laid on the bed, grabbed her hand, and put it on my stomach. Chloe closed her eyes for a second and then opened them again. I wrapped my hand around Chloe and made her put her head on my chest. It took her some time, but soon she get comfortable. We were laying like that when she started making circles with her fingers. I won't lie that this feels good. Yes, we are not dating, but this doesn't mean that I can't do some things with her. I looked at her and she removed her hand from me. Well, that wasn't for so long, because I put it back. I want to kiss her, but now it's not the time for that. Instead, I kissed her cheek and saw how it slowly turned light pink. 

Soon Dani called us and we went to eat breakfast. No one of us was talking. The truth is that I don't want to tell her. I can't explain why I did it, but I felt the need to do it. This girl makes me feel different every time when I look at her. I can't get her out of my mind. 

- What is going on with you two? 

- What do you mean? - I asked him

- No one of you is talking. Are there problems in paradise? - he chuckled

- We are good. I just have nothing to say. 

- What about you miss quiet?

- When I have nothing to say, I prefer to be quiet. 

Later, I went to wash the dishes when Dani came into the kitchen. I know that he will ask me questions, but I don't know what to tell him. I don't even know what is going on with me. I just feel different when I am around her. 

- Can you tell me the truth?

- Look, I have nothing to say. 

- Liar! There is something between you two. What happened this morning when I walked in?

- I don't know. I just feel weird when I am around her. She has this effect on me, which I can't describe. 

- I think that you are falling for her.

- It's just... 

- Man, I have seen the way you look at her, the way you smile when she is around. This is a real smile. No other girl has received it from you. I know how mad you get when someone is talking badly for her. How jealous you get when other boys are checking her out. If you are not in love with her, then I don't know. 

I was about to say something when I turned around and saw Chloe standing there. Damn it! How much she had heard? I looked at her and she gave me a smile. 

- Look, I...

- Don't worry, I didn't hear anything. I only came to ask you, boys, if you want us to go outside. I don't want to stay the whole day here. 

- Yes, why not. I'll go to change and will come back. - I said and left

I was staying in front of my wardrobe when Chloe came into the room. I gave her a smile. She didn't say anything and came to me. I thought that she wants to tell me something, but no words escaped from her mouth. Instead, she wrapped her hands around my neck. I didn't know what to say or do. Chloe stepped on her tippy toes and kissed my cheek. Then she left. Can someone tell me what just happened? Maybe Dani is right. I am falling for her. Way too fast. 

When I was done, I walked downstairs and all of us walked out. Soon Dani said that he has to go because he has some work to do. I know that this was a lie. It's the weekend and he never has plans. I appreciate his help, but now I feel awkward. Chloe and I went to one diner for milkshakes. Later we continued walking around when I met Austin. He is on the list with my disliked people. 

- And if that is not Aaron Wright. So this is the chick for who people are talking about. I thought that you like the wild ones, not the innocent good girls. 

- What I like is not of your business. Now leave. - I said and Chloe grabbed my hand

- I see what is going on. You won't get anything from her so don't waste your time. 

- Leave before I do something, which you will regret. 

- You won't get laid with her. 

I couldn't hold it anymore and punched him in the face. I know that Chloe is with me, but I won't stay and listen to how bad he talks about her. Moreover, he has no idea what type of girl she is. Chloe looked at me with worried eyes. Before I could tell her something, I received a punch in the face. Damn it! This i***t will pay me. I want to do some things for him, but I can't when she is with me. I don't want her to see the same things, which happened in my match with Ricky. 

- Can we just go home? - Chloe asked me

- We will. I don't want to waste my time with this i***t. 

With that, I received another punch. Probably I was going to get another one, but Chloe stepped in front of me and grabbed Austin's hand. She twisted it and he winced in pain. I didn't know that she is so strong. Chloe was still holding his hand, but I told her to let him go. She shouldn't do these things. I don't want her to get in trouble. 

- Chloe, that's enough. Let him go. 

She didn't say anything and did it. Then she grabbed my hand and both of us walked away. All the way home, Chloe didn't say a single word. I don't know if she was mad at me or at Austin. When we walked into the house, she made me sit on one of the chairs in the kitchen and walked away. After a minute, she came back with the first aid. I wanted to tell her that it's not that bad, but I gave up. She carefully cleaned the blood from my nose. I lifted her chin and saw tears in her eyes. I hate to see her like that. Another reason why I told her to stay away from me. I wrapped my hands around her waist and made her sit on my lap. Chloe looked at me and I pulled her close for a hug. I felt a couple of tears on my shirt. 

- Everything is ok. I am fine. 

- No, you are not. People hate you without a reason. 

- I wouldn't say that it's without a reason. Just because now I don't do such things, it doesn't mean that I haven't done it in the past. This is why I wanted you to stay away from me. I didn't want you to see this. 

- But I won't stay away. I want to be with you and no one can change my mind. 

- Don't say that I didn't warn you. - I said and she chuckled

- Ok, I won't say it. 

- What do you want us to do now?

- I don't know. Can we just lay down? I don't want to do anything. 

- Yeah, sure. Let's go upstairs. 

In the moment I laid down, she came and snuggled. I wrapped my hand around her and kissed the top of her head. She looked at me and I gave her a smile. Chloe put her hand under my shirt and started making shapes on my body. Soon I feel like I will lose control. I slowly got up only to remove my shirt and laid back down. Chloe looked at me but didn't say anything. We kept staring at each other for a while. She put her hand on my cheek and I felt how my body shivered. I don't know what she is doing to me, but I won't hold for long. It's better if she stops now. I would love to give her something, but I don't want her to think that I am with her only for that. Gladly, she pulled away and laid her head on my chest again. 

- You can take a nap if you want. I won't go anywhere. 

- Thank you, but I want you to take it with me. 

- I'll do whatever you want. 

Soon Chloe fall asleep. I don't know what is going on with me, but I feel that very soon our friendship will be in history. I don't want to hurt her, but I can't stay away from her. Especially when she is doing something to me. I feel a mix of emotions when she is around. Before I have never felt anything like that, no matter how many girls I have been. Maybe the good girl is the one who will change me. Not like she didn't do it already. If I will change, I want it to be because of her, not someone else. I want Chloe to be the girl. She is the one that I want and that I need.
