Atlas POV: Jack smiled his typical cocky smile, “Does it matter? He’s dead…” I watched his smile fade with his words, “I’ll be going now.” With that, Jack turned and walked away. I could feel the agitation rolling off Kyle next to me, and I’m sure he felt suffocated by my anger at the moment. We both stood silently, waiting until we knew he was gone. “So, who is she?” Kyle questioned as the two of us walked back to the house. I guess that’s the million-dollar question now. “I don’t care; she’s my mate.” And that was the truth. Who her father was will not change the fact she is meant to be with me.
