Atlas POV:
I hit send without even thinking about it. I’ve never told any female that I loved them. It wasn’t a lie, though. I do love her. She’s my mate…my other half. I’ll never feel this way about anyone else. I just hope that it wasn’t too soon for her. I hope I didn’t scare her off. My wolf huffed in annoyance at me. She didn’t respond anymore, making me believe I probably should have kept that to myself.
I drove slowly down the road, an uneasy feeling settling in my stomach. She didn’t want me to stay, but I didn’t feel right leaving her unprotected either. There were no signs of Ed, or any hunter, in the area, but that could always change. I’ll send someone she hasn’t met yet to watch over her, I decided, pressing down on the accelerator as I left town.
