Our Mental Polarity

Aeshia Faye Alonzo: That's how she's called. She aces every exam. She can memorize every lyric of a song she only heard once. She can recall every little detail happened from her fourth birthday until the present and narrate how she witnessed every random scene from anywhere. A talent. Gift, as they say. Hypothetically... It isn't. It's a curse. She remembers literally everything. The first and last lines of a book she read once. Every line from an eight hour movie. EVERYTHING. She remembers every detail of how she met and fell for someone who broke her. That's the painful part. She is unable to forget what breaks her every single time because of her disorder called HYPERTHYMESIA. But he, her love, he's on the other side. He forgot everything. The places they've been through, his promises. Their moments together, their joys and despairs. Every single memory of them-- all because of his AMNESIA. It's draining because they were both swallowed by irony. Their connection insanity strangles their necks, yet they chose to be strangled together. It's crucial for her because at the end of the voyage, she's the one standing at the cliff of death. If love asks you to suffer for the sake of achieving happiness, would you be willing to go through it by all means? Would you stay by your lover's side even if it all cause you a lifetime of sacrifices due to your MENTAL POLARITY?
