Chapter 72

Nakabusangot akong bumaba ng sasakyan ni kuya.

Can you believe it?! He grounded me from riding my motor bike at wala akong magawa. Tangina, gusto kong magwala.

He lowered down the window of his car and smiled at me, “Call me if you want me pick you up. Nasa bahay lang naman ako. Bye, baby sis.” He said before he left.

I took a deep breath and kicked the stones on the ground to lessen my anger

Wala pa masiyadong students kasi it’s too early pa.

I waited for Krish first before entering the school.

“Good morning, bessywap! Mukhang masama na naman ang mood mo for today’s video ha.” Bungad niya pagkakaba ng sasakyan.

“Don’t even talk about it.” I answered.

“Let’s go na, baka matamad ka naman at bigla na lang umuwi.” She said at hinatak na ko papasok.

“As if I can.” Walang ganang sabi ko.

“Bakit naman?”

“Kuya’s at home.” Sagot ko na ikinatigil niya sa paglalakad.

Tatanongin ko na sana siya kung umandar na naman pagkabaliw niya nang bigla siyang humarap sakin at tumili. Takteng bunganga ‘to.

“Can I sleep over later?!” She yelled, running to keep up with me.

“Yeah, yeah.” I answered. I inserted my hands to my pocket. Ang ginaw pala sa labas kapag gantong oras

“Aqua!” Someone shouted from behind. Oh, it was the guys. Wait… I narrowed my eyes as I saw someone with them. Why the hell is he with them?!

“Good morning.” Bati ni Ino nang makalapit na sila. They went silent, waiting for my response.

I just stared at him, “Yeah.” Walang ganang sagot ko at tinalikuran siya. I’m not in the mood para makipag-plastikan sa kaniya.

A bad morning for me, kapag talaga may makasalubong pa akong masamang d**o, magwawala ako.

Speaking of the masamang d**o, here it comes. Nakasalubong namin sina Triton at ang grupo niya.

Akmang lalapit sana siya sakin nang biglang sumulpot si Kale at hinatak ako at linagpasan siya. I didn’t bother looking behind, ano namang pake ko?

“Did you sleep well?” Tanong ni Kale.

“Obvious ba?” Sarkastikong sagot ko. He chuckled at inakbayan ako. Agad kong tinabig ang kamay niya, ang bigat kaya, punyeta.

“Kagabi lang siguro, tangina nga eh. BInantayan ba naman ako sa kwarto at sinermonan.” Asik ko na ikinatawa ng bobo.

“Tinatawa mo?!” I exclaimed. Tumikhim siya at tumahimik.

“Krish, bilisan mo.” Tawag ko kay Krisha na nakikipag-daldalan sina Lucas.

“Coming!” She answered and ran to me. Mas binilisan ko pa maglakad, baka maimbyerna lang ako kay Kale.

Nagbihis muna kami bago pumunta ng gym. Naabutan namin silang nags-stretching kaya sumabay na lang kami.

We ran five loops and did a warm-up before the practice starts.

“Listen, girls! I’ll hire positions for you girls based on your game performance today. So, do your best, got it? I’ll announce it later after break. Lahat naman siguro kayo familiar na sa sports na ‘to so I guess I don’t need to explain the basics?” The coach said and we all agreed.

She divided us into two teams and unfortunately, hindi kami magkasama ni Krish. There’s six players in every team.

Pumwesto ako sa harap ng net, I want to get the wing spiker and blocker position. The practice game starts as the coach blew her whistle.

In the first set, nasa kabilang team ang bola. Sila ang unang mags-serve.

Nasalo ni Hana ang serve nila pero nakita kong nag-aalinlangan ang nakabantay na setter. Tangina?!

“I-set mo, Ara!” Sigaw ko kaya natauhan siya and set the ball. Rei ran from the right side and spiked the ball pero agad naman na nasalo ni Krish sa kabila. Rei’s spikes are hard and strong pero nasasalo pa rin ni Krish. Yeah, that’s my best friend!

They did the same attack, I can predict their next moves kasi ang bagal ng movements nila. This attack can be easily blocked.

“On the left!” I muttered and ran on the side where the right side hitter is positioned. Kaia and I successfully blocked the ball.

“Yeah!” We yelled and gave each other high fives. We surrounded each other, gave each other a group hug, and cheered.

We narrowly survived in the opening set. Magagaling din kasi ang nasa kabila, especially their hitters.

“Ang lakas ng palo mo, Aqua.” Crest said while caressing her palm.

I chuckled, “Not really.” At ayun nagdaldalan na sila.

“Position!” Coach shouted and blew her whistle, starting the set two.

Now, it`s my turn to serve the ball. I tossed the ball into the air, took a step back, and gained a momentum before jumping. I moved my dominant hand toward the ball and smacked it with the heel of my hand.

I deliberately placed the ball where they would least anticipate me to attack.

“Aaaaah!” My team shouted as it landed the floor.

“That was an ace serve!”

“Wala na, finish na.”

At nagsimula na naman sila dumaldal.

“Guys, focus!” I said while positioning to serve. This time, nasalo na ni Krish ang bola.

Set two also ended up with a close fight but we won! A straight win means victory.

KRISHA’S P.O.V

Exhausted, umupo ako sa bench at uminom ng water. Omg kasi itong si Aqua, masiyadong ginalingan. Super pula tuloy ng hands ko, so nakakairita!

“Nice one, girls! Konting adjustment lang, sure akong mauuwi niyo ang korona.” Puri ni coach.

“I know right!” I response. Gosh! Kay aqua pa lang taob na sila noh!

I raised my thumbs nang lumapit sakin si Aqua my bessywap.

“Why is your hand so red?” Nag-alalang tanong niya while checking my hands.

“Kaloka ‘te, hindi ko makeri ang mga palo mo. Pakikalmahan naman, oo.” Sagot ko.

“Bakit kasi kailangan mong saluhin?! ” Galit na tanong niya. Dumbness talaga tong si bessywap ko.

“Hello, girl? Libero ako?” Natatawang sagot ko. Umupo siya at tahimik na tinitignan ang kamay ko. Aww… Does she feel bad for it?

“Gagi ‘to, normal lang naman ‘to eh. Tignan mo kamay ng iba, same din sakin.” I said to comfort her. Knowing how she cares for us. Kahit ganito ka-barumbada tong babaeng ‘to.

“Omg ka talaga! Okay nga lang ako! Still breathing and pretty.” I said and posed. Her face frowned like parang nandidiri. Oh diba, okay na siya.

“Are you sure?” She asked. Naka unli ata ‘to eh, gosh!

“Sige, ilibre mo na lang ako! I’m hungry.” Pouting, I said. Ayan na naman siya, nandidiri. Hahaha!

She chuckled and about to talk when we heard someone shout. Dahil sa chismosa ako, agad ko siyang hinatak at nakitakbo sa mga teammates namin.

We followed them hanggang sa court na katabi lang ng gym.

“Oh my god!” I exclaimed, my eyes were widen as what I saw. It’s the basketball team fighting at each other! Omg, what are they doing?!
