Prologue

Red Montenegro, a fiercely independent fashion designer, never expected that a simple act of saving face would lead to a lifetime commitment. Desperate to avoid looking pathetic in front of her ex-best friend and his ex, she impulsively grabbed the first man she saw—introducing him as her boyfriend. Lucky for her, he played along. Unlucky for her, he took it way too seriously. Now, she's drowning in confusion because, apparently, they're getting married. Perseus Howell Montanari, the country's most powerful tycoon, had been searching for Red for years. The moment she grabbed him, he knew—fate was finally on his side. So, what did he do? He blackmailed her into marriage, of course. Because if he lost her again, he might just lose his mind. But living under one roof with a seductive, cocky husband was never part of Red's plan. "Love?" he called, smirking. "Ano na naman?" she snapped, glaring at him. He leaned in, voice teasing. "They say kissing is the language of love." Her brow twitched. She knew he was up to no good, but she still humored him. "Tapos?" He bit his lower lip, eyes gleaming. "So, would you mind starting a conversation with me?" "Anak ka talaga ng kalandian!" she shrieked, throwing a pillow straight at his face. How did she even get herself into this mess? And more importantly... could she ever get out?
