Star gazier

"Goodbye, Sir. Dela Cruz. Have a great day!"

Naglakad si Sir. Dela Cruz , patungo sa labas sa classroom namin. Agad ko kinuha ang bag ko, tsaka lumabas para pumunta sa cafe para magbili nag Iced caffe americano sa starbucks at bumalik pagkatapos.

Kakalabas ko lang sa paaralan . 'Done na lahat ang klase ko!' I strench.

"Haaa... " I massage my stiff left shoulder, not until when a vibrate interrupts from my phone.

Zion? is calling...

Yes, I change his name from Love ko to Zion ,his name, because why not? But with heart, kasi parang cringe sa akin eh , no offense .

:Hello?

: Hi, I'm here.

:Okay, saan?

:Here at your school hospital.

: Ah sige, papunta na ako diyan , wait for me .

: Yes ,ofcourse .

'Gosh his attitude. '

Then the call ended...

Nakita ko agad si Zion na nakasandal sa kanyang kotse , habang ang kaniyang dalawang kamay ay nasa bulsa niya at pinagkrus niya ang kanyang mga paa.

"Do you want to eat first before we go?"

"Nope, I'm full"

"Okay, are you sure?" He assure.

"Pretty sure"

"Okay then, let's go?" Pumunta siya sa shotgun part para e open ang Door nito.

"Go" he hand gesture , to seat to where um going to seat.

Narito na kami ngayon sa tagaytay, after driving 1 hour and 13 minutes we stop at the convenience store for snacks . I buy my favorite pack of food and drinks .

"Saan tayo pupunta Zion?" Tumingin ako sa kanya habang naglalakad papunta sa sasakyan.

"Sa Cliffhouse dito sa tagaytay" Hindi siya tumingin sa akin, diretso ang kaniyang tingin sa harap.

"Malapit lang ba ito o malayo ?"

"Yes , It's near, you can walk about 2 minutes ,I guess ? And if you are a fast walker or you jog like you got chase by a zombie, you will reach atleast less than a minute . " Itinaas niya ang kaniyang kilay.

"Ahhh, so pwede tayo maglakad? " pa siguradong tanong sa kanya.

"Yes ,but I prefer to drive. Gabi na Luna .Babae ka at ang mga tao dito hindi mo alam gaano sila kasama at magaling din mag patangap sa mga babae katulad mo."

"Yes, I know I'm a girl ,but I have you in by my side? So its definitely okay , plus alam ko naman yan eh, it's whole over the world...every places are dangerous for women and men also ."

"No , still."

"Okay fine, sige."

"Let's go ,are you done?" He ask kase I'm eating my packs that I brought from 7 eleven .

"Yes, I'm done let's go "

Lumakad kami patungo sa kaniyang sasakyan .

After 2 minutes of driving, nakarating na kami sa cliffhouse, tagaytay .

"Let's go, are you okay?" Tanong niya na nakatitig sa akin.

"Yeah" Ngumiti ako sa kanya bago tumango ako .

"Are you hungry?"

"Little I think?" Hindi siguradong sagot ko.

"Let's get something to eat after we put our things to our room."

After we sign the registration, they gave us our key to our room and lead us.

"Put your things up there." He piont.

"Ikaw?"

"I'll just put in here below this compartment table" He tap twice .

"Hmm " I nodded.

" Zion maliligo muna ako bago ako kumain"

"But you said that you're hungry? "

"I said ' Little I think' " nakahawak ang kamay ko sa beywang ko.

"Yes, fine sure...I'll wait."

"Ikaw, hindi pa ba ikaw maliligo ?"

"After you ." He stared.

" Sige...mauna muna ako. " I hop in the shower at tsaka naligo.

Bago ako lumabas sa CR ay nagbibihis na muna ako , para hindi akward ang situation namin pag labas ko sa banyo.

I wear a navy jeans tsaka flannel long sleeve shirt, nakalimutan ko dalhin ang sapatos ko sa CR , pero sino naman ang mag dadala ng sapatos sa banyo diba?

"You done?" He raised his left thick eyebrow.

"Yeah, your turn na" pumasok kaagad si Zion pagkatapos ko sabihin sa kanya na tapos na ako.

I braided my hair habang naghihintay kay Zion.

'Bakit ang tagal ba ni Zion sa banyo? Anong ginawa niya Doon? Nag sasayaw , nagkakanta , nagtulala o natutulong? Ba't ang tagal niya? Para siyang babae , ang tagal maliligo, mas tagal pa kesa sa akin.'

At dahil sa pinag isip ko ay tumawa ako ng mahina, baka marinig pa ako ni Zion at itinturing tayo baliw na tumawa lang sa kaniyang sarili at walang kausap.

Pag labas ni Zion sa banyo ay meron na siyang damit na isinuot niya ,at ang kaniyang bahagi niyang buhok ay basa pa parang hindi niya na boblow shower ang ibang party sa kaniyang harap , so kita na kita mo talaga na bago siyang naliligo , halata.

'He looks hot by the way, wet hair with a handful face ,coming thru!'

"Ready?" Nagliligpit sa kaniyang gamit.

"Yeah, let's eat! Then see the stars!" He smiled at me na parang amuse na amuse talaga sa akin na parang bata ako at siya yung ama.

"What do you want?"

"Anything , but it has to be a part of the menu" pabala ko

"What?"

" Seafoods !" Masayahin kong sabi na parang bata na mahilig kumain kesa maglalaro sa kaniyang laruan.

"Okay, okay" he chuckled before he shake his head looking down the floor habang nakahawak sa kanyang brigde of his nose.

Naglakad kami ni zion dito sa cliffhouse to find a bench to sit in.

"Oy meron isa dito Zion oh, wala pa ang nakakaupo !" Takbo ko papunta sa bench at tinukoy ko habang tumingin ako kay Zion na naglalakad din papunta sa akin.

Umupo naman si zion sa tabi ko.

"Hey zion "

"Yes?" Hindi siya tumingin sa akin

Do you really like stars and moon?

Yes why are you asking that?

Nothing. What was the reason why do you like them?

"My mom and my dad used to told me about those stars , Moon , planets, sun and the space, because I was more interested in them than anything else at the day."

"Ahhh" Tumingin ako sa ibaba.

Silence appears again to our conversation.

"Luna, aside from wanting to be a teacher , what else do you want to be?"

"Oh ,that.. questions is I wanted to avoid forever"

"Why?" Tumingin siya sa akin mga mata. Kitang kita ko talaga ang kaniyang magandang kulay sa mga mata niya dahil sa maliwanang buwan na nagrereflecta niya.

"I don't know?"

"I wanted to be an artist. That was my very first and foremost wanted to be when I grow up, when I was a kid"

"Then what's stopping you and why are you not picking an art major if you wanted that so?"

"Because from the moment I see on my own eyes , my family was super busy to take care of me and can't teach me else , because of their works I learn how to teach and handle myself alone before they hired a maid for me to take care of. "

"I want to let the kids learn things that I learn, and an artist? Maybe I just really like it when I was a kid ,because I love art, painting, drawing and sketching are my favorite, it became my hobby."

A silence interrupts again...

"How about you zion?" Bumitaw akong hinga.

"I always wanted to be a lawyer"

" Then why are you taking Business? "

"Because my dad say so, he only recommended, my elder brother don't want to position himself to our company and to inherit our fortune."

"Oh I'm sorry." I puck my lips.

"Does your dad force you to take business? "

"No , I force myself. "

"Why?"

" Like I said my elder brother doesn't want to inherit our company and position himself, and if I will not do it then, who would take our family fortune? Who would position our company? Who would be happy-go-lucky with that? "

"Why would I let it down those hardworking that my family been working hard for many years, even we are yearning for love because no almost attention and feels of love to us by our parents." He play his feet while, looking down , his both hands are on his both side of the body bench.

"Yes , that's true you have a point "

"But what if you have a chance to , what would you do? "

"I don't know maybe I'll take it?"

"What do you mean I don't know and maybe?"

"Because I'm going to get busier. "

"Yes that's true , but when you have a opportunity to do so, take it. Don't waste it"

"They say that once you have that opportunity, you must take it before you regret it. So, if you have , before you go to business school if you have to , then take it ."

"Go to law school , enjoy , have fun exploring politics, and think the dream you always wanted to be has been granted. " I look at him.

He left a small chuckle. "Yeah , I'll take it." Then looks up to the moon.

"Hey look Zion, I think it's a shooting star , a meteor !" I pionted out.

"Yes, it is a shooting star , a meteor" He smile.

"Look , marami na ang nagshoshoot!"

"Wow, may star make a wish Zion! " excited kong sabi.

"Okay." I make a wish also.

' I hope one day my parents would relay on me na once I finish my school life as a young adult , and I also wishes that my friends would also passes the examination and the bar exams or so on to reach their dream especially Zion, I also hope one day I will meet my one and only partner in life who really lives me like how my parents love eachother. '

Tumingin ako kay Zion na nakangiti . Hindi pa tapos si Zion sa kaniyang wish , baka mataas talaga ang gusto nito sa buhay.

"Are you done looking at me?" He looks at me.

"Nope, I could stay up all day."

"You will get tired."

" Tired of looking at you? No, because you are one of my special treasures " natulala lang si Zion aa akin, ang kaniyang mata ay puno sa mga tanong na hindi niya masabi.

"Let's go na? Gabi na kse eh , I can't stay up all day I have a class tomorro remember? "

"Oh right, right " napatigil siya at tumingin sa kaniyangsapatos.

Nung tumayo na kami ay may biglang tumawag.

Pagpunit ko sa cellphone ko sa tote bag ko ay nakita ko sino ang tumawag . Si Hailey pala ang tumawag sa akin , sinagot ko.

:Hello Hailey?

: Oh, hello there Luna!

: Oh ba't napatawag ka?

: Samantha invites us tomorrow night at the same bar, same location.

: Bakit naman?

:I don't know sabi ni Natalie , heartbroken daw eh .

Walang pakiramdam niyang sabi. Pero feel na feel ko na nagsnob na ito dahil alam niya , no namin si Samantha kapag ma heartbreak ito.

: Wala namn karelasyon si Samantha sa iba diba, if she has , then she should inform us?

:No, but for sure she has a crush one of my guy friends .

believable niyang sabi sa akin .

: Wow ang laki naman ang confidence.

: Ofcourse my guy friends are attractive especially my girls!

She giggled.

: Okay

I shrugged.

: tagaytay

:Why are you there? Who's with you , mag isa ka lang?

: To star gaze and I'm with Zion.

: the fvck Luna, is this a move already?

: I don't know, what are you saying Hailey.

Tumawa siya . Pakiramdam ko ang sulok sa labi niya ngayon ay nasa itaas na.

:Anyway ,how about you Hailey?

:I'm in Manila and star gaze also with...

Tahimik na naman ang nagiinvite sa amin dalawa.

:With James.

:Who the fvck is James? Ay sorry God my motuh is very bad.

Sabi ko habang pinapalo ko ang aking masamang bibig

: I'll tell you tomorrow.

:Okay sige chika tayo! Then enjoy, byee!

:Goodbye too Luna! Enjoy with your bird!

:Kaloka talaga ka Hailey.

:Luna ,nakita kita dito.

:Ha ? Sabi mo nasa Manila ka?

: Luna, you're a moon , remember?

: Tarantado ka talaga Hailey.

Tumawa siya malakas sa telepono dahil napipikon na ako sa kanya

: Gosh Luna, take it a joke.

:Yeah yeah, I'm going to end our call na.

:Yeah , bye have a great night!

:James

Sagot niya.

:Yeah right ,bye stay safe with this boy James ? !

:You too!

Our call ended...

"Who was that?" Tanong ni zion na nakacross ang mga kamay niya sa kaniyang dibdib at initial niya ang kaniyang kanan kilay nang humarap ako sa kaniya.

"Si Hailey" He nod.

"What does she say to you?"

"She told me to go to the bar tomorrow night"

"Why? " Kumunot ang noo niya dahil sa sagot ko.

"They said Samantha had a heartbreak"

"Samantha?"

"My bestfriend, you met her at our first meeting?"

"Ah yes , I remembered that cool and high confidence girl?"

"Yes"

"Hmmm"

Bumalik na kami sa aming room at nagbihis sa banyo ng pajamas , sinuklay ko ang aking buhok , at nagskiskin care . Bago ako humiga , I turn on my tab to see if there's any assignments na naman , but there's none so I position my self to bed.

Zion stare at me , his obvious eyes were full of nervous , but he stay and stand like nothing .

"Ahh oo nga pala, there's a extra pillow diba?"

"Y-yes , there" he piont at the cabinets.

Tumayo ako papunta sa cabinets at kumuha ng dalwang pillow at bumalik sa kama , arranging in the middle to have a boundaries between us.

" Oh heto na , finish na!" Hinawak ko ang aking beywang habang nakatingin sa kama.

"Let's sleep na" humiga na rin kami sa wakas.

"Goodnight"

"Goodnight too." Sa gilid siya nakaharap.

Ilang oras na hindi parin ako nakakatulog, dahil sa kaba at sa pag bilis galaw sa aking puso . Hindi ko maiitindihan ba't ganito ang galaw sa puso ko eh wala naman akong sakit o insomnia at hindi lang ngayon ako natutulong na kasama ang lalaki ?

I just think of foods, Scenarios , drinks and stuff that lead to me to sleep. At sa wakas nakatulong na din ako na mahimbing.
