Bodies no longer moving. Hearts no longer beating. Minds no longer thinking. Everything just seemed to stop functioning.
Harlow's face was so wet, flooded by tears. Despite that, she was trying to show Tyson a smile. She was becoming strong and fighting her weakness. Though it was really hard to accept her failure.
For some moment, Tyson also started crying because he can no longer hold them. He felt so bad knowing that he couldn't do anything to help her, or knowing that he didn't do anything to help her.
"It's okay," Harlow forced a smile.
Tyson didn't speak, instead he looked at Duglas, hoping he would give them another chance by just looking at him and talking to him through his eyes.
"Okay we'll then accept it," Tyson said, "but may I just know why she failed?
"Well if that's the case, sasama na lang din ako sa kaniya. What's the point of having a second life here in Heallven if I'm not with her?"
"Tyson..."
"THEN WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO HER?"
Tyson stood up and held Harlow's hands. "I won't leave her," he said.
"Tyson, okay lang ako. Tanggapin na lang natin."
He looked at her. "No. We started this journey together, then we must end this together. Walang aalis, walang maiiwan."
Duglas stood up as well.
"Can't you please give us a second chance?" he pleaded.
Huwag kayong basta-basta magpakampante."
Harlow stood up and faced Tyson. She touched his face and told him it was alright and all right. It was hard for her, and even harder seeing him couldn't get over about it.
Tyson couldn't stop crying. Before when he was still alive, he could imagine himself living alone, but because of her, he didn't want it anymore. Because of the lady, his perspective in life had changed.
"I wanna still live my second life with you," he said.
He really did want to spend his life in Heallven with her, but it might be impossible already. They thought happy ending was coming on their way, but in time, everything suddenly changed.
"Tyson, please leave," Harlow said. "It would be even harder for me seeing you like that. If you really love me, you'll leave.
"I love you, that's why I'm staying..."
"Tyson, please..."
"I love you," he cried.
"I love you, too."
Tyson hugged her tightly and kisses her on her forehead. It lasted for a minute, and then the place was flooded with tears.
It was hard for him, but he had to. When he finally exited the house, he took a last look it.
He continued to walk while reminiscing his memories with Harlow. He could still remember the first day he saw her in the Plesingko. He found her wearing a wedding dress that time.
FLASHBACK
"Are we attending a wedding ceremony?" he asked.
When Harlow didn't respond, he repeated his question and even waved his hand in front of her face.
"What?" she asked.
"I said are we going to attend to a wedding ceremony?"
"Wedding ceremony?"
He nodded. "Look at you, you're wearing a gown. Are you a bride?"
Harlow looked at the dress she was wearing. She touched her neck afterwards, she just realized she was also wearing a necklace, and a bracelet as well.
She gazed at him again who was still smiling.
"Why are you wearing a suit?" she asked.
He looked at himself after she asked him such question. A pucker formed between his eyebrows as he realized he really was wearing a suit.
"What the hell," he uttered.
END OF FLASHBACK
He suddenly chuckled when he thought about it. That time, he didn't really know he was wearing a suit, not until she told him. Then he just realized that they were like a couple that time. That was cute, but it made him cry.
He continued walking while still crying and reminiscing the past. He remembered everything when they were in the Plesingko. He remembered as well the day when he started his journey.
The day when he saw Harlow out of the Plesingko, he didn't expect it. All he thought was they would never meet again, since she left the place first, pero maging ang mundo pala ng Heallven ay napakaliit. If only he knew that this was going to happen, he would have wished that they had not just met so that he would not be hurt too much.
He next remembered their happy moments. One day in a village, they were teasing each other and a stranger said: "May mga nagkakatuluyan sa ganyan."
The moment, he felt something different about her. He never thought of that thing, not until someone said.
FLASHBACK
"But what if it came true?" Tyson asked.
"A-ang ano?"
"Na magkatuluyan tayo."
Then, there was silence.
The trees that surrounded them dances and the cold air breeze touched their flying hearts.
"Why asking such question?"
"J-just wanna know..."
Harlow asked.
"If we have mutual feelings, then why not?"
She smiled.
"What's with the smile?" Tyson asked.
"Sorry, but I think that would be impossible."
END OF FLASHBACK
He thought Harlow was right when she said it would be impossible for the two of them to be together. What was happening was already the answer to his questions.
He was already a bit from from Duglas' house. He was tired of crying while on the way, so he went to a tree and leaned on it just to take some rest.
He wandered what Harlow was doing, or was she already gone? He wandered if she cried a lot when he left. He wandered everything about her, and it really pained him.
He felt so weak. He thought what if he came back? Would something change?
On the contrary, Harlow inside Duglas' house, was still crying. She couldn't almost breath. She couldn't move nor speak properly.
Harlow didn't think this would going to happen. If only she knew the consequences of her deed, she should have did her best. But she knew it was her mistake. Tama nga ang sinabi ni Duglas na sa lahat ng bagay, kailangan mong ibigay ang lahat mo; you should live your day as if it's your last.
Duglas left for a moment and went to the kitchen. He got some water for Harlow. And when he was done, he came back and offered it to her, but she refused to take it.
She looked at him. "W-wala k-ka ba t-talagang m-magagawa?" hikbi niya.
He let out a sigh. "Wala talaga akong magagawa.
She continued crying but thought she would have just to accept the fact that in just an hour, she would start to disappear.
After some time, she stopped crying, but deep inside her was still really biting. She stood up and faced Duglas.
She took a deep breath and prepared herself. She already accepted her fate. This was her destiny and she didn't have something to do about it.
She was about to enter the room, when suddenly, someone outside knocked on the door.
Three knocks...
