Chapter 19
TRIP
Pagkapasok namin sa loob ng condo, nagmamadali si Liam na maghugas ng kamay at magbukas ng ilang ilaw para mas maliwanag. Nakaupo ako sa sofa, sinusundan ng tingin ang bawat galaw niya. May kakaibang saya at kapanatagan sa puso ko ngayong alam kong tanggap kami ng mama niya.
Liam walked over and sat next to me, wrapping an arm around my shoulders. "How about we watch a movie to wind down? Something light and funny."
I nodded, leaning into him. "Sounds perfect. I think we both need a bit of relaxation after tonight."
Habang pinipili ni Liam ang pelikula, bumalik ang isip ko sa mga nangyari kanina. Nakikita ko pa rin ang seryosong mukha ng mama niya, ngunit mas nararamdaman ko ang pag-accept niya sa aming relasyon. It was a huge relief.
"You know," Liam started as he settled back next to me, remote in hand, "I'm really proud of how you handled everything tonight. You were amazing."
I blushed, resting my head on his shoulder. "I just wanted to make a good impression. Your mom means a lot to you, and I wanted her to see how much you mean to me."
He kissed the top of my head. "She saw that, and she respects it. We're a team, Harmony. And we'll face whatever comes our way together."
Niyakap ko siya ng mahigpit. "I love you so much, Liam. Thank you for always being there for me."
"I love you too, Hanny," he whispered, his voice full of warmth and sincerity. "More than you'll ever know."
Habang pinapanood namin ang pelikula, naramdaman ko ang init ng kanyang yakap at ang t***k ng puso niya sa tabi ko. There was something incredibly comforting about being so close to him, knowing that we were in this together.
A few minutes into the movie, Liam turned to me with a playful grin. "You know, I've been thinking..."
I raised an eyebrow, curious. "About what?"
"About us," he said, his eyes sparkling with affection. "We've been through a lot, and I feel like we're stronger than ever. Maybe it's time we take a little trip together. Just the two of us, away from all the craziness."
My eyes lit up at the idea. "A trip sounds amazing! Where were you thinking?"
Liam shrugged, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. "Somewhere quiet and beautiful. Maybe a beach, or a cabin in the mountains. Anywhere we can just be ourselves and enjoy each other's company."
"That sounds perfect," I agreed, my heart fluttering with excitement. "Let's do it."
Niyakap niya ako ng mahigpit, at naramdaman ko ang kasiguruhan ng pagmamahal niya. "It's a promise, then. We'll make it happen."
Habang patuloy kaming nanood ng pelikula, pinag-usapan namin ang mga plano para sa aming bakasyon. Napuno ng saya at pananabik ang aming mga puso, alam naming mas matibay kami kaysa dati. We had each other, and that was all we needed.
As the night wore on, we eventually fell asleep on the couch, wrapped in each other's arms. It was a perfect ending to an emotional evening, and I knew that whatever challenges lay ahead, we would face them together, with love and strength.
Ilang linggo ang lumipas, at sa wakas ay natupad ang pangarap naming bakasyon ni Liam. Nasa isang cabin kami sa kabundukan, malayo sa gulo ng lungsod at ingay ng kanyang buhay bilang isang idol. Pagdating namin sa cabin, ramdam na ramdam ko ang katahimikan at kalmado ng paligid.
"Wow, this place is amazing," sabi ko habang nagmamasid sa paligid. The cabin was cozy, with large windows offering a breathtaking view of the mountains and a fireplace that added a warm, rustic touch.
Liam smiled, setting down our bags. "I knew you'd love it. This is exactly what we needed—just the two of us, away from everything."
Lumapit ako sa kanya at niyakap siya mula sa likod. "Thank you for this, Liam. I really needed this break."
He turned around and hugged me back tightly. "Me too. Let's make the most of it, okay?"
Tumango ako, excited sa mga plano naming mag-relax at mag-enjoy. "Ano ang unang gagawin natin?"
He grinned, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "How about a hike? There's a beautiful trail nearby that leads to a waterfall. Perfect way to start our vacation."
"That sounds perfect," I agreed, grabbing my jacket. "Lead the way."
Naglakad kami sa trail, magkahawak ang kamay, habang tinatamasa ang ganda ng kalikasan. The air was fresh and crisp, and the sound of birds chirping added to the serenity of the moment.
"This is so peaceful," I said, taking a deep breath. "I could stay here forever."
Liam chuckled. "I know what you mean. Sometimes I wish I could just escape the craziness and live a simple life."
Napahinto ako at tumingin sa kanya. "You know, you don't always have to be 'Eclipse.' You can just be Liam, the guy I fell in love with."
He looked at me, his expression softening. "You're right, Hanny. Being here with you, I feel like I can truly be myself. That's why I brought us here."
Pagdating namin sa waterfall, tumigil kami at pinagmasdan ang ganda ng tanawin. The water cascaded down the rocks, creating a soothing sound that filled the air.
"This is beautiful," I whispered, feeling a sense of awe.
Liam wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "Just like you."
Natawa ako at natampal ang braso niya ng mahina. "Ang corny mo talaga."
He laughed, pulling me closer. "But you love it."
"I do," I admitted, resting my head on his shoulder. "Thank you for bringing me here."
"Anything for you, Hanny," he said softly. "You deserve all the happiness in the world."
Niyakap ko siya ng mahigpit, nagpapasalamat sa bawat sandali na magkasama kami. We stood there for a while, just enjoying the moment and each other's company.
After our hike, bumalik kami sa cabin at nagdesisyon na magluto ng dinner together. The kitchen was small but well-equipped, perfect for a cozy meal.
"What do you want to cook?" I asked, looking through the ingredients we brought.
"How about pasta?" Liam suggested, pulling out a box of spaghetti. "Simple but delicious."
"Sounds good to me," I agreed, starting to chop some vegetables. "Let's make it special."
Habang nagluluto kami, nagkukwentuhan kami tungkol sa mga plano namin sa buhay at mga pangarap namin sa hinaharap. It felt so natural and easy, like we were meant to be in this moment together.
"This is really nice," Liam said as we sat down to eat. "Just you and me, no distractions."
"I love it," I replied, taking a bite of the pasta. "This is exactly what I needed."
Sa pagsikat ng araw sa aming pangalawang araw sa cabin, ramdam ko pa rin ang kasiyahan at kapayapaan na dulot ng aming pagtakas mula sa gulo ng lungsod. Nagising ako sa mabangong amoy ng kape at sa malamig na hangin na pumapasok sa bintana. Napangiti ako nang makita si Liam sa kusina, abala sa pag-aayos ng aming almusal.
"Good morning," I greeted, walking over to him and wrapping my arms around his waist.
He turned and smiled, kissing my forehead. "Good morning, love. I made us some coffee and pancakes. Thought it would be a nice way to start the day."
"Sounds perfect," I said, taking a seat at the small table. "What's our plan for today?"
Liam set down a plate of pancakes in front of me and joined me at the table. "I was thinking we could spend the day exploring more of the area. There's a lake nearby where we can go for a swim or just relax by the shore. What do you think?"
"I love that idea," I replied, taking a sip of the coffee he made. "This place is so beautiful. I want to make the most of our time here."
"Great," he said, his eyes shining with excitement. "Let's finish breakfast and head out."
