The Three Best Friends

In the middle of the forest, there were three best friends who lived and grew old together as best friends. Since they were little, they always called each other to play and hunt together to find food to eat. Their names are: Fruda, the snake; Hershey, the bird; and Glenda, the lioness. Their friendship is very well-known in the entire community, and no one could break it. They know each other's favorite foods and some secrets. One day, they decided to go near the river because they heard that there were many small prey over there. Glenda, the lioness, loves to eat flesh and meat, such as rabbits and wild pigs. Hershey, the bird, likes worms and insects, while Fruda, the snake, eats frogs and rats. When they arrived near the side of the river, they saw a big barn, and the farmer, who is the owner of the barn, was preparing to go out of town to sell all his vegetables while riding his carabao. The three best friends are very excited about what they saw. They wait for a while, and when the farmer has already gone, they run as fast as they can and sneak to the barn. The lioness sees the goats and grabs one of them using his claws and fangs. She bites the goat many times and eats its flesh. The snake sees the eggs of the chicken. She crawls toward it, opens her mouth widely, and swallows the whole egg. The bird didn't find the worms, but she saw the sacks of rice, and she pierced them repeatedly. The three best friends enjoyed their meal, and after that, they had a conversation while watching the sunset. GLENDA: "What an amazing day, isn't it?" HERSHEY: "Yeah, it is. I saw you grabbing and eating that tiny goat with no mercy, huh?" FRUDA:Girls, we did a great job! Next time we will come down to the town!" GLENDA: "Oh no, I'm not going " FRUDA: "Why? What's wrong?" HERSHEY: "I think it is not safe for us to go down there.There are so many hunters with guns and they have big knives. Do you want to die in their hands and turn us to dinner?! Didn't you know that? FRUDA: "I do, but we can be more careful and slow them before they can catch us." GLENDA: "No, I'm not going anywhere; I will stay here in the forest forever." HERSHEY: "I can fly and I can look up for my food anywhere. I can bring food for you, Glenda. GLENDA: "No, thank you.I'm fine. FRUDA: " I can make move without noise, I will kill one rat for you,no one can survive to my poisonous fangs. I will twine it with my body so it can't move; I will swallow it and spit it out for you Glenda. GLENDA: "Ew, yuck! Im not going to eat anything that comes from your mouth. That's disgusting you know!" Okey enough for today. It's getting darker.Lets go inside the cave of you like too .Let's continue this tomorrow, I want to take a nap. I'm very tired of looking for prey all day. I am full . My tummy hurts, so I got to go first. See you tomorrow, guys! Byee! "HERSHEY: "go on now, Sleep tight ! have a sweet dream, our big kitty! " FRUDA: "Now she's sleeping again; Glenda never change ,she always sleeping after eating.I wish I could get some more!" Tomorrow I will wake up early in the morning; do you want to come with me, Hershey? "Hershey: "okey, okey! I can be your look-out. Fruda: I will watch if somebody is coming around."FRUDA: "Thank you, Hershey. You are very supportive and realible. "Why you're always there for us? Hershey: "Why not? I always be with you! anytime,anywhere. We will help each other. We are going to stay together forever! FRUDA: "Is that a promise?" Hershey: YES! of course ! crossed my heart. We are always next to each other, forever!" FRUDA:" Alright then,let's sleep,my friend." And then the night came in. The full moon shone so brightly. The three best friends fall asleep in deep sleep. The sounds of fireflies surround the dawn of darkness. The long, hard day has been forgotten. While they are sleeping, a noise comes from a distance, and the ground starts to shake. They suddenly wake up hearing people's shouts and gunshots. They stare at each other and get nervous. The whole town is in big trouble. Bombs blow up everywhere. People are running and starting to panic. The three best friends run and stick to each other. They don't know why this is happening. There are missiles flying and marching troupes. The cave was hit by blowing cannons! Trees are knocked down by moving war tanks. The war has already started. The people of the town try to fight, but they lack arms. The young children and women are abducted, and the old ones get killed. Many soldiers are striking each other's heads with their deadly weapons.The snake finally found a way to hide, and her friends followed her. They go under the hole beyond the rock and lock the way. They assure themselves that nobody will get hurt. They are so scared and rattled. They pray for the war to stop, but it doesn't. They almost cry for mercy.After one long day, the war is over. The three best friends came out of the hole, and they were shocked by what they saw. They couldn't believe what just happened. happened. They saw many dead bodies and bloods all over the grounds and the moans of suffering people who died during the war. The three best friends still don't know what to do. They try to look for a survivor. They followed the moaning sounds they heard. Surprisingly, they saw the farmer, the owner of the barn. He was standing under falling debris, and they helped him get out. He had a blood clot from his right leg, and his spinal column has damage caused by the rock falling on his back, which made him stock underground. He cannot walk straight, but luckily he is alive and was brought to his barn to treat his wounds. The farmer gave the snake, the lioness, and the bird some rice, eggs, and meat, then he said it in front of them. "Without you I may not scape death.Take this food as sign of my gratitude ! Thank you for saving my life" The Three can't speak ,no words come out from their mouth but instead they receive the food and rapidly eat them all" The farmer smiles genuinely at them without knowingly that these three best friends are the ones who rushed at his barn and ate his pets. Meanwhile the Three Best Friends never confess anything to the farmer and they had an agreement that not to say anything to him till they die.As the time past by ,the Three Best Friends are always come to visit the farmer, He is old and weak . They notice that his wound is not getting better.They try their best to help the old man. They boiled some guava leaves and put it to the wounds of the old man. His feelings is getting worse and his temperature is still high. They feel sorry to the old man. The old man told them "It's alright my friend I'm giving up anyway ,I will die sooner.I just want to say thank you for being with me for the rest of my life.My family left me when I don't have enough money to support them.But God never left me alone .He sends you to me and by that I am very grateful.I'm ready to die anytime .It's time for me to leave and I am happy even in the last minute of my life.You take care each other .I know you are good best friends and I saw how you help each other.You are lucky to have one other.I just wanna share my body to all of you for you to survive.After I die ,You can eat my flesh. I give my consent to both of you. It's time to say goodbye." Then he slowly closed his eyes. Then the three beast friends were left unspoken. They didn't know what to say in response to the old man who held his last breath in front of them. Their tears dropped and they fell on their knees. They all cried out loud! while the lioness moans like a wolf. They couldn't sleep that night after the old man died. They asked altogether, "What should we do now?" FRUDA:"Well, we have his word; we need to survive. We need to eat his flesh."HERSHEYS: "What? Are you insane? Is that what you think of him, a food?after all he have done to us?! FRUDA: "What's the problem? He is dead already, and we had approval from him. It was in his last words. We need to eat or we are going to die of starvation?Hershey: "This is not a good idea!" FRUDA: "Hey Glenda, what can you say about it, why are you so quiet? No words?oh , come on! GLENDA: "I don't know; I was messed up." HERSHEYS: "Im not going to eat him, he is a good guy. We are going to bury him formally,understand? and don't dare to touch him! FRUDA: "Whatever! I'm going to die so fast." The next day, they buried the old man. Using the shovel ,they dig and dig the soil and put his body underground .They put a big cross on top of his grave.The three friends are silent and never talked to each other again after the burial. They are cold to each other like no one wants to start a conversation. They look for their own food separately. They go in different directions whenever they have a chance to meet.None of them show up again at the place they used to be as hang before.They became sad and lonely. Time flies so fast, the weather change . It's getting cold and turning the soil into ice, and the rain turns into snow.No warm water to drink; no more food stock. They remember what the old farmer said in his last words. They feel sorry for everybody. They search for food but nothing left. Glenda, the lion, while busy looking for food. Her eyes became drowsy due to not eating for almost a week. She saw a bird standing on the rock.She can't see it clearly. In her grace, she made a high jump to grasp the bird. As she tried to strike, the bird had her turn and had the chance to see her face, and she called her name,"Glenda?" She did stop herself as she recognize the voice of the bird she was shock. "Hershey?!" Yeah, it's me! Hershey, don't you recognize me? Hershey asked. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't recognize you. My vision is blurry," Glenda explained."What happened to you all this time?" Tell me your story, she added. "Well, I have experienced this blur since I didn't have food to eat for almost a week," Glenda said. "How about you? How did you survive?" "She asked Hershey, "Well, I finally learned to eat seeds and small beans." I have stocks in my home. "Do you want to go with me? Sure!" she asked Glenda. "Sure! "Glenda answered. While they are on the way and chattering, someone is following them that they don't know—the sneaky snake, FRUDA. When they get inside the house, the poor Hershey is shockingly grasped by Glenda, who eats her sharply. Glenda is very hungry. She is about to lose hope before she finally sees Hershey again. From the distance, FRUDA the snake is watching and is very angry for what Glenda did to poor Hershey. She could not resist, so she attacked Glenda and said, "How dare you eat Hershey? Glenda! "You don't have glory, do you? " Glenda suddenly realized what she did. She stopped eating Hershey, and she then asked for an for an apology right away. But it's too late. She lost one of her best friends. "Oh, I'm so sorry for what I did. I am really starving." I couldn't stop myself" as she cried and begged for pardon. "No! You can't do this. This is not acceptable! "I cannot forgive you." You are no longer my friend! ! You are a monster! " Fruda shouted with anger. "Hershey is a good friend to us. She is our best friend. She always gave her help and never became selfish like you. She trusted you! You betrayed her!I am not letting you go! I will take revenge for what you have done to her! FRUDA told Glenda."W-what? What do you mean? Are you going to fight with me? Glenda asked FRUDA."Yes! and I'm going to kill you and eat you wholly. Any last word? ! " No, you can't do that! We are best friends, remember? "We had promised to be kind to each other, didn't you?""Yes, but you're the one who first broke your promise. You forgot to follow what we oath not to do unto each other! I'm sorry for what I can do for you!"""no,no,wait.." Glenda was bitten by Hershey in the neck. The poison runs to his blood vessels to the point where she gets numb and can't move. She then loses her vision and is slowly swallowed by her friend, who is so angry with her. because she is so big. The snake finds it hard to swallow her. It took a lot of effort to finally take her into her stomach. She was very tired after she ate the whole body of the lioness. She fell asleep until one day, after she opened her eyes, she saw herself inside the cage. She didn't know that she had been caught by the strange hunters. She would be brought to an animal center to be operated on. They were going to open her stomach to identify what animal she swallowed. This time she has no way to get out. The cage was strongly built. She then realized and regretted eating her friend Glenda, the Lioness. Whatever may happen to her, she will accept it wholeheartedly. She finally meets her end. She smiled while saying to herself, I still love you guys. I will never forget what we have been through. I am excited to meet you again in our next lives. I believe we will meet and play again. We will hunt together again. I always imagine how we used to be. I'm sorry for being rude and intimidating. I really miss you so much, Hershey, my best friend. I was hoping before that we could bring back together our friendship, but I think it's too late.That was her last day in an animal care center. She was not able to survive. The Three Best Friends—Glenda, Hershey and Fruda—never had the chance to keep their friendship back, but in their hearts they missed each other so much. They don't have a perfect character, but they become friends somehow. They have given a time to become good friends. They help the old man even though they did not confess the mistakes they made. They never shared or brought out their secrets or sworn promises. But their conscience put them separately; because of love and hatred, they made wrong decisions to avoid chaos. Keeping alive and killing to survive is their real worst enemy.
