Hyperion
In a faraway land, there is a vast palace where thousands of warriors are sentries. The castle has three long black towers surrounded by high walls, horrible and covered by daunting vicinity. The whole place also covered by the dusky sky, raving thunder, and full of darkness.
Suddenly, a warrior messenger with significant steps walks fast to the aisle going to the throne. His body is covered by silver armor, with a sword hanging on his waist and carrying a scroll. When he arrived at the throne area, a king was waiting for him.
He knelt. "My Lord, I have a message for you," he gives the scroll.
The king took and opened the scroll to read the message.
"Kairo Middlestone is in England with a woman. We have not yet confirmed who is that woman accompanied him," said the messenger.
Hyperion rolled the scroll again and handed it to the soldier beside him. "Tell General Uhmir to bring his troops to attack Kairo and bring me the half of stone crystal. You also get a piece of information about the woman and why she has the stone. Or else, bring me the woman alive," he ordered.
"Yes, my Lord!" he got up and bowed. The messenger turns around and walks back to relays a message to the general.
Hyperion was left behind while in deep thought. He knew that his opponent was looking for him to get the stone back. I will not allow you to get this stone. And who is the woman with you? Why does she have the half-stone crystal? Hmm…
Kairo…
They are ready to leave using the royal carriage prepared by Mr. Malcolm. He was just waiting for Weng to come out of the mansion.
"Master Kairo, Kristoff will take care of you and take you to Kew Palace. I hope you can return safely to the mansion," Mr. Malcolm said.
"Thank you very much, Mr. Malcom." He replied.
Later, the woman came out with Mrs. Melves. He stared at her, but she did not even stare at him in return or even glance at him. He feels that the woman was disappointed in their last conversation.
"Be careful, Master. May our God guide your trip to Kew Palace," Mrs. Melves added.
"Thank you very much, Mrs. Melves. Take care of my two horses left behind."
"We will take care of them while you are away, Master Kairo." Francis happily replied.
He slightly smirked. "Alright. Thanks."
Kristoff opened the carriage door to allow Weng to ride on. She just smiled at Adamson's Family while still in deep emotion. He knows that the woman keeps that disgruntled feeling. She followed her after, and the royal carriage started moves away.
WHILE on the road, the woman focuses on sightseeing outside that few pine trees covered by snow. He also glanced out the window on the other side. He remembered the place of how beautiful the environment was when it was the spring season. Sometimes, he does visit this place to take some fresh air to breathe. It was also one of those places he would never forget.
"Won't you still not telling me what you are planning to?"
He slowly glanced at the woman who finally asked him again. He doesn't want someone to insist on things that should have the right opportunity to be revealed or shared. He simply took a deep breath. "Can't you wait for me to tell you about my plan?"
"We are already on a trip somewhere. Maybe I have the right to know where we are." She crossed her arms and put them on her chest after.
"Okay. I will only say this once so, listen carefully."
"I always listen," her tone was sarcastic.
"We are in the era of the 18th century during the reign of King George III of the Great Britain Empire. I sense Hyperion's energy from here."
"The King George III of the British Monarchy? It means in⸻" It seems surprising draw at her face.
"Yes. Do you know the history of the Royal Family?"
"N-no. I mean⸻not everything I know. The history of each country is too bloody to remember. I'm not into historical places, mostly in Philippines ancient history."
"Historical places in the world have deeply unfathomable nascence, and most of them are considered rich by the previous rulers. Their predominance was just too bloody so, everyone ended up in a war."
"I know that thing even in my time, and the war was still on the minds of the leaders. They are still vying for power to lead and even abroad. Where are we going, by the way?"
"At Kew Palace, where there was a man who used to work with Hyperion as a messenger before. We will take the opportunity to get information from him about where that monster is hiding."
"Wait⸻you haven't told me why you are free to live during this time. Do the people around you know who you are? About your ability and the magic you use?"
"Nowadays, I am a rich trader. My name is known throughout the British Colonies and will not be recognized as time goes by. I need to delete the memories of all people who knew about me. I don't want any conflicts in the future in case there are loopholes. The people around me are mortals like you who serve me, and I bless them with my wealth. I met some of them in instances that feeling drowned and despondency."
"I see. Hyperion holds the Soul Dimension, right? He also holds the Soul Stone?"
"Exactly. The Dimensional World consists of four parts; the Divine Dimension, Soul Dimension, Time and Space Dimension, Rebirth Dimension. In each world, there are four powerful crystal stones hold by the immortals, rulers of each world. Vinity Vine - Guardians of the Divine Dimension and the holder of the Divine Crystal Stone. Hyperion Lous Nois - Guardians of the Soul Dimension and the holder of the Soul Crystal Stone. But all the immortal guardians of the four dimensions, he is the most cunning. He wants to rule all the Dimensional Worlds with the stones he wants to grab from the other deities. I am the guardian of Time and Space Dimension and holder of Time Stone Crystal. I am keeping the balance, the wheel of time, and maintain peace in humanity. Brith Reid - Guardian of Rebirth Dimension and holder of Rebirth Stone Crystal. He is also in-charge of whether the deceased can be resurrected and otherwise remains in the Soul Dimension. He may also have something to do with your resurrection in a different body or either Hyperion. We all pretend to be merchants in the human world and socialize, but we have laws that would not affect mortals," he explained.
"Now I understand. In that case, we need to go to Brith's dimensional world," she said to him.
"I will send a message to Brith as we head into his dimensional world. He does not accept any guests, especially a mortal like you."
"But in this situation, I am no longer mortal. I have half the Stone Crystal, right?"
"As I said, follow first my plans so that you won't be in jeopardy. If we can't send notice to Brith, Hyperion will take chances to follow us. Or either, Hyperion would implicate Brith into his will. We better let him know first."
"How long? If we wouldn't go in hasty, maybe the next day, I do no longer exist or even you.”
He frowned and stared intensely at the woman. “You should not rush every moment, especially when you know you are in a precarious situation. I know the words ‘time is gold’, but you cannot force time if it is not supposed to be right. Don't take the time in a manageable state, or you will no longer exist as you said.”
"Is that so," her voice mix with uncertainty.
“I’m sorry. For now, let's find Hyperion first before everything will be devastated. Our goal is to rebuild the necklace in your care and save the world together.”
She just nodded.
He took a glance at the necklace she was wearing and was still disconcerted. Why is it in the care of a mortal? Tell me, my stone. But, no one answered him, even the magical stone. I need to find it on my own as soon as possible. He stared at the woman again, but she focused her gaze on the outside they were passing by.
"Kairo…" She gently said while staring outside. "Do all immortals in the dimensional world look like your golden eyes?" then she glanced at him again.
He was stunned. He couldn't believe that the woman in front of him could see his precious thing. No one would saw his golden eyes or perhaps because of the stone crystal on her neck. "Do you see my golden eyes?"
"Yes." She quickly responds. “Should I not see your glimmering eyes? I already saw your eyes from the start until now. Is that a contact lens? ”
He wanted to smile because of her jest, but he just restrained himself. “No. Do you think I will wear that kind of fashionable thing that mortals do?”
She shrugged. "I don't know. The color of your eyes is too vibrant than the normal contact lens, I guess. I will not ask you anymore.”
"It would be better."
He turned his eyes outside again.
“You are rude. I guess it is your monthly period,” she murmured.
"I heard that," he said, but he did not look at the woman.
Moments later, one of his guards on a horse approached the carriage window. He slightly looks at his guard, which seems to have an important to tell.
"Master Kairo, horses, are chasing after us!" he slightly shouts due to the heavy noise coming from the carriage and the footsteps of the horses.
He suddenly closed his eyes and used his magical golden eyes to see the incoming danger. He heard the footsteps of the horses and the ten warriors ride on. “Hyperion's warrior. Stop the carriage!” He shouted.
The carriage immediately stopped!
The woman in front of her got frightened, and he opened the door to go down from the carriage.
"What's happening?" Weng asked.
“Get out of the carriage and ride on a different horse. Hurry up!” he ordered.
“Huh?! What?!" she's confused.
"Do what I said!" in his authoritative voice.
The woman quickly got off, and he then turned to Kristoff, who is there instantly.
"Master Kairo!" he called him.
“Kristoff, go ahead and mount on the horse with her. Hander, change Kristoff's position, and you will drive the carriage. Yu, follow Kristoff,” he commanded them.
"I will, Master Kairo!" Hander replied. The guy was one of his traveling companions.
The two men quickly move and change their position as Kairo commanded. The woman's face also showed shock, and she could hear her heart thumping. Kristoff supports the woman to mount on until they are finally ready to leave. He walks near to them.
"We will go first and see you there," Kristoff said.
"Kairo, how about you?" she’s worried.
"I'll follow after."
"B-but⸻"
"You can leave now, Kristoff." He turned around and walked through the carriage. But, before he gets inside, the woman speaks again.
"Just promise me."
He was stunned again when the woman is trying to please him.
"Promise me, you will follow us there," she uttered again.
“You need to leave, Kristoff. Protect her until I am there,” he said calmly and never looked back at them.
“Yes, Master Kairo. Go!” He maneuvered the horse.
He just heard the footsteps of the horse running away from them. Promise, I will be there. He finally got in the carriage and prepared himself.
When he sat down, he touched her left shoulder and then changed his clothes. He can do changing his clothes whenever he wants or in a different situation. He wears his battle armor suit that he used last time when he and Hyperion fought in the human world. He felt that their fight with the heartless warrior at the back would be savage. His guard, Hander, was already preparing himself to onslaught their enemies. He just waited inside the carriage until they arrived. He also kept the woman away from any danger and has the feeling that Hyperion's warrior would chase after her. He closed his eyes again and feels the presence surround him. He needs to keep calm and focus on the present.
