Weng was reluctant to leave the place without Kairo on her side. She became even more restive when the young man did not even respond to her that it would follow them. He didn't even turn to her and might think he didn't care about her. She knew that they don't have a smooth conversation the last time, but Kairo was her only hope to get back into her world. She was in deep emotion with a lingered nervousness while mounting on the horse with the young man Kristoff. She gripped the saddle tightly while the young man was behind her steer the horse fasts. At their back, another young man on horseback accompanied them. Kairo, please come back! How am I supposed to continue our journey without you? My God, please guide him! Even though he was so mean to me, I was still worried. What if…what if he won’t come back? What if I am left behind? How do I face these struggles without him?
"Go! Go!" Kristoff shouted. He even speeds up their horse again and again.
"Kristoff! Are we still far away?" she asked. She only sees pine trees and snow around. She knew they were still in the middle of the forests.
"I think so! Just hold on, Miss Weng!" he replied to her.
"You think so? How just that little far measured? Is it one, two, or three kilometers? Will we cross some mountains or cruise the deep blue sea? If it’s still so far, how about Kairo?"
"Master Kairo will follow us!"
"Are you sure of that? Maybe...maybe he needs help?" she still worries.
"Trust my Master! He will come back!"
Trust? She thought. Do I need to trust him? She still couldn't help but think of it even though he was immortal and able to live eternity. She had never seen Hyperion or even his warriors, but she knew their opponent was dumbass strong. She tried to calm down again and focused on the front they were passing by.
MEANWHILE, two men are riding on a black horse, rushing to catch up with the young man in the carriage. The two drew their swords on both sides, and when they got to the carriage window, they saw Kairo closing his eyes and calmly sitting inside. They suddenly slightly raised their sword they were holding and trying to prick the edge of the pointed sword towards him and then aimed to hit him.
Kairo's side, he could see the motions of the two men tried to kill him inside. When they stabbed him, he suddenly disappeared using his vanishing energy. The two creatures were shocked by what he did, and then he suddenly appeared on the right side of the man as he floated in the air. He quickly raised his right foot and then strongly kicked his opponent. He hit him on his flank area.
"Uuggghh!" the man screeched.
As he kicked hard, the man fell on his horse. His opponent's body rolls on the thick snowy ground towards the blocking tree with protruding sharp branches ahead. The man screeched again. When his back collided against the wood and the sharp edge of a bough pierce into his back, the man could no longer shout as his red blood came out from his mouth. His wounded chest also flows with the red blood down to the ground and spread around him.
Kairo quickly moves so he could mount on to the horse. He also grabbed the horse's rein and then slowed down a bit so that they would meet on the other side. When the carriage was ahead of them, he saw his opponent. The warrior immediately attacked him with his ridged sword. Slow-motion! One of Kairo's abilities to make the time slowed and control every second. He grabbed the sharp end of the man's sword then pulled it quickly near to him. Time reverted again, and his opponent was only about within reach.
"What?!" he was surprisingly shocked.
"Are you surprised?" Kairo smiled. "Say goodbye to those with you." He pulled the sword from it effortlessly and then kicked off the horse of his opponent.
The horse ran so fast in an opposed direction. There is a fell tree forward and blocked to the other trees in the ground. The man's body was rolled and bumped into the tree while his horse left him. Like its previous comrade, the sharp branch pricked into his back. He's wounded, and the blood flows. That was the cause of his life ended.
His other opponents also attacked behind him and at the same time rushed to kill him. They fight him on both sides, but he was able to abstain from their attacks. He lay down slightly to avoid the two swords again towards him. He could see the sharp edge of the blades then he touched it on both sides. He pulled them hard to collide with each other.
"Ugghh!" the two men were screeched.
The two swords they were holding pricked into their shoulders. Then the blood came out in the mouth as well as the part that hit wounds.
"Let's just meet in the next life, gentlemen." He was indignant. "You made a mistake in serving that beast Hyperion." He pushes the two then kicked them hard. He was slightly floating while giving them a strong spurn.
"Uugghhh!" the two men shouted and screeched again.
He returned to his position while the two men lost their control because of the wounds on their shoulders. Their unbalanced movement causes them to fell from the horse. The two warriors crashed into the snow ground, and their horses ran away fast.
The other six warriors left behind at the same time attacked him. He was hit again on both sides, but he suddenly disappeared. He appeared at the top of the carriage. But at that moment, he was holding a sword that came from the snow. It was a snow sword.
"Damn warriors!" he said.
"Kill him!" the warriors shout.
"What—" Kairo was stunned, and then he turned his gaze in front. He saw a hundred of Hyperion's warriors surrounded them. He was alarmed, and he did not even expect it. "s**t! Hander!" he shouted.
"Cut the link between the carriage and the horse!" Hander near shouted.
"Huh?!" But he also knows about what he meant. He raised his left hand, released a ball of energy, and then threw it onto the connecting horse and the carriage.
Even before Kairo released it, Hander ran towards the horse. The young man reached the horse just before Kairo cut off the wagon connecting the horse.
The carriage skid on the snowy ground and turned horizontally across the road. Kairo moves immediately to get out in the upper part of the carriage and disappeared again.
On the other hand, Hander deviated when the opponents in front were only a short distance away. He rides the single horse without the royal carriage attached to it. Hyperion's warrior plans to collide with the carriage from both sides to sides. In a flash moment, the carriage exploded along with some of Hyperion's warriors near to it.
"Master, I felt like there was another powerful creature!" said Hander.
Kairo suddenly appeared behind Hander, riding on his horse. "Yes. I can feel his presence!"
The two of them were riding in a one-horse fast while the others who were not involved in the explosion were still following them. Later, Kairo felt danger around him. The young man looked up and then saw the arrows flying in their direction. He quickly used the snow as protection against the flying arrows every passing by. He released energy from both his hands to control nature. A few seconds later, the flying arrows pierce into the snow shield he made. They seemed to be inside a tunnel surrounded by thick ice.
"Master! They won't stop until we still breathe!"
"Go ahead, Hander. Follow Kristoff and the others!" he commanded.
"What?! I can't leave you here, Master Kairo!"
"I can manage myself! Follow my orders!" he insisted.
"But...Master!"
"My power will guide you." At the same time, he touched the shoulder of Hander then wrapped him with white energy and the horse.
The thick ice he made as a shield them turns to normal and then disappeared. Forgive me, Hander, I have to do this. It would be best if you would not implicates because of my negligence. Later he suddenly appeared in the middle of the road while waiting for the incoming opponents. I do not want the blood of my warriors to be shed just to defend someone like me. Don’t worry, and I want them all to fall from my hands.
Hyperion's warriors' cavalry stopped. In front of him, he since the might energy which was Hander told. He assumed it was their general. He just stared at them as he estimated the total number of his opponent.
"You are a dumbass guardian, Kairo Middlestone! Your courage will lead to your death," the man in the middle grinned.
"General Uhrim! Until now, you are still the adherent of your monster Lord! You were not learned by our last encounter then," he said firmly. They had already fought each other a long time ago.
"Don't give me that s**t of your judgment. Lord Hyperion has blessed me with the power to finish you. Choose the best to live. Will you give me half of the stone crystal or, will you die and never live again?" it makes him choose. His expression on the face that was teasing him still did not change.
"Someone like me will never give up on those like you who have surrendered their souls to Hyperion," he replied. He also thinks deeply about him.
They even stared at each other while trying to estimates who among them are the stronger ones. After the fierce look between them, they clenched their fists. Later, General Uhrim spoke to Kairo again. Kairo, on the other hand, secretly absorbs snow energy from the ground to become a weapon.
"It's your end, Kairo. Your warriors will fall this time and that innocent woman who has your stone crystal. At this time, the woman you are protecting is dead. Kill him!" he commanded. He pointed his forefinger towards him.
Hyperion's warriors attacked him again as he developed an ice sword in his right hand. He also moves fast forward to meet them in the middle of fighting ferocity. He jumped up from the icy ground and then hit his opponents with his raging sword. He bravely faced them and fought all his strength.
The warriors hit by his ice sword were bloody wounded because he had no face of a pittance to end their lives, just as they had no mercy to end his life. The blood of every wounded warrior spilled on the icy ground and howls in torment. At the same time, the horses affected by the war are also fussed. He knew that such a thing should not happen but, Hyperion's evilness is in fullest iniquity. He even sympathized with his warriors, who did not deserve to join its dark power and uprising against him.
He shouted again with every scourge of his sword that also expelled its power just to reach the enemy. "Haaahh!"
Within minutes of the war, the warriors were almost begging their lives and withdraw from death. Most of them lay on the ground and suffering pain with the bathe of their blood. The armor he was wearing was also splashed with blood earlier as he competed for strength with them. Now, he is standing while the man in front of him viciously stared. The general was only the last man standing among his warriors.
“Even if you kill all my warriors, you will still not defeat me. I am General Uhrim of the third group who are best in the field of combat, and Lord Hyperion's proud. I will bring your head to him, Kairo Middlestone!”
"Do it! Your mouth was faster than your exertion!" his voice mixed with teasing.
"Be ready, and you will meet with the God of death!"
He held his sword tightly as preparing for his opponent to decimate him. He knew that Hyperion's generals had given him enough dark power to defeat him, and he's aware of that. He had already planned to exterminate him.
“Here I am! Kairo!!”
