Brianna It's already 8 am and I'm running towards the subdivision's gate. Why? Because I'm late for work. Ayoko mapagalitan ng boss ko na sobrang sungit. And damn! I forgot to eat my breakfast prepared by my Mom. Makikisuyo na lang siguro ako kay Shiella na dalhin sa office 'yon baka magalit sakin si Mommy na hindi ko kinain ang niluto niya. After running I'm finally outside, and I'm waiting for a taxi. Luckily I saw one. Pag sakay ko nag pahatid agad ako sa Salazar Group Companies. And I'm hoping na wala pa siya doon, If not? I'm doomed. While on the road I took my phone and called Shiela. She answered it real quick. "Shiela." I said and to my surprise, alam na niyang may kailangan ako sakanya. "What do you need?" She asked, I smiled and told her what I need. "Okay, iyon lang ba? Wala ka ng nakalimutan pang iba?" "That's all, thanks Shiela you're the best. You know Mom, she will get mad at me for sure." "Yeah, and she's scary." She said, and we both laugh. Nag paalam na ako sakanya dahil malapit na ako sa destinasyon ko. And I'm ready of what he would say to me. Brace yourself, Brianna. Your boss will surely get mad at you. Well, I'm always ready. Bumaba na ako sa taxi pag tapos ko mag bayad saka ako nag lakad papasok. Here goes nothing. "Good morning po." I greeted all the guards there. "Good morning Ms. Brianna, nandyan na po si Sir, at mukhang wala sa mood." kuya Eli said. Uh-oh. I smiled at him and went straight up. Habang nasa loob ako ng elevator, nararamdaman ko ng lalabas ang puso ko dahil sa kinakabahan ako. The last time I was late, he threw all the files I gave him and said mean things to me. Well, I'm used to it. Ganon din ang naranasan ko sa company na napasukan ko bago dito. But, that's worst. *ting* Sign that I reached the floor of his office. I went out of the elevator, then I saw Richmond getting busy. Well, he's always busy. But if you mentioned foods to him, he will leave his work, just for food. "Hey, Rich. Good morning." I greeted him. "Oh hey, good morning. Late ka ata." "Yeah, I woke up late." I said. I walked inside his office without even knocking, I saw him busy with his computer. Again. He's the boss. "Coffee?" I asked. I'm waiting for what he would say to me, but to my surprise. I saw his smile and replied. "Yes please." Okay, that's not the reaction I expected. I went out again just to make his coffee, and for myself also. Okay, as you can see my job here is his secretary, utos niya dapat sundin, and If someone wants to have an appointment regarding business, or have a meeting with him, they have to talk to me to know about his schedules. But, it depends on him if he wants to have a meeting with them or not. Even if that's a large company, lalo na pag wala siya sa mood hindi siya sisipot sa meeting. He's crazy? Yeah I know, In the end, I'm the one who's attending the meeting. "Hey, you're spacing out again." I turn around to see who's talking. Richmond. "Hey." "You okay?" He asked. I nodded and smiled at him. "Something bothering you?" "No, I'm fine." I said, still smiling. Hindi na siya nag tanong ng kung ano pa, nag paalam na ako sakanya na mauuna na ako dahil ibibigay ko pa 'tong kape sakanya. Pag pasok ko, I saw Shiella sitting in front of my table. "Oh hey." I said and went to Mr. Salazar's table just to give him his coffee. Then went to my table. "Here's your meal." Sheila said, then she gives me the bag full of containers. Really Mom? "Thank you so much, I'll treat you later," I told her. "You better be, Anna. I'll leave now. Bye, see you later! Love you." she said and went out. Tinabi ko na muna ang dala niya saka ako nag focus sa trabaho. "You didn't eat, don't you?" He asked. I just shook my head, and focus on my work. "Why? Because you're late again?" I nodded. "Eat. Now." He said, I looked at him, but he's not looking at me. "I can't, it's still working hours," I said while busy opening some files on my computer. I'm looking at all the files that needed to be signed when I felt his presence in front of me. I look up, and I saw him a few inches away from me. "I don't want to repeat what I said, Brianna," he told me. Uh-oh, I know that look. "Fine." I said, kinuha ko ang bag na pina-dinala ko kay Shiella. And I start eating. I even asked him to join me, and he did. We're both eating breakfast now. After eating I put away everything I scattered, and clean my table, and focus on myself back to work. I'm busy contacting the Salazar's Branch in Italy when someone puts bottled water in front of me. And it's Mr. Salazar. "Thank you, Mr. Salazar," I said. He laughed, "Brianna, how many times do I have to tell you if it's only the two of us here just call me Dark, you don't need to be casual when you're in front of me okay?" he told me. "I'm not used to it, besides you're my boss," I said. "Get used to it. Just call me Dark." He said. I nodded. And once again I focus on myself in front of my computer. And busy talking to Mr. William. "Yes sir, I'll tell him that. Have a good day sir." I said I wait for him to end the call. Because it's disrespectful if I'm the one who hung up first.  *toot* "Who's that?" I looked at him. "Your father. He wants you to attend a meeting with him." I said. "I'm not going." He said. "Not happening, you're going with your father," I said. He just stared at me, and he finally agreed. I quickly texted Mr. Salazar and said that Dark would be there. Then he replied. That's fast. "Mabuti naman pumayag siya, salamat hija. Maaasahan ka talaga, at saiyo lang talaga nakikinig si Dark." Hindi ko alam kung ano ang ire-reply ko sakanya dahil sa sinabi niya. I'm not his boss. I looked at my phone, and think of what I should reply to. But I ended replying to him with a smiley emoji. I don't know what to reply to him. I check my phone just to look at the time, and it's already 12:00 meaning It's lunchtime, so Richmond and I are here in the cafeteria right away. As I said when it comes to food? He's the fastest. "Take it easy will you? Hindi ka naman mauubusan ng pagkain." I told him, paano ba naman kasi kung kumuha ng pagkain nag mamadali. "Don't talk to me." He said. 'Okay." I said and was about to walk when he holds my arm. "It's just a joke you know." He said while smiling like a fool. Hindi ko na lang siya pinansin. After I got my food, I'm looking for a place for us to sit, then suddenly I saw Dark eating his lunch in the middle of the place. I walked towards him and surprisingly ask him. "Why are you here?" I asked him. He looked at me before answering my question. "Uhm, eating? This is a cafeteria right?" He asked with his sarcastic tone. "Whatever," I said and was about to leave but he grabs my arm. "Sit here and have lunch with me." He said. "Kasama ko si Richmond —Oh there he is." I saw his face darkened. "He's not sitting here," Dark said. I glared at him. "Don't you dare glared at me like that, I'm your boss, Ms. Villarreal?" He said. "Oh really? If I said Richmond will sit here, he will sit here. End of discussion." I told him with my voice being bossy. "F-fine." with that Richmond sat beside me, and eat his lunch. We had a quiet lunch, then suddenly I remember what Mr. Salazar said earlier. "Saiyo lang nakikinig si Dark." He's damn right
