Chapter 5

I and my parents just got home from dinner with the Salazar's, all I can say is I really can't believe that I will soon be part of their family. Hindi ko rin maiwasan hindi isipin na paano kami sa office, will they announce our wedding to everyone?

"My princess, is there something bothering you?" My father asked me, buti nahalata niya.

"You know that Dark is my boss right? And you know how many girls will sabotage me if they knew that I will be Dark's wife." I told him, worried consumed my face right now and his too. But it disappeared already.

Then he just laughs at me, "Dad I'm not joking."

"Sorry my princess," he paused, and now he's serious. "You know how protective I am when it comes to you especially him, so we won't allow anyone to hurt you. And this wedding will be secret to the public, only our family will know about this okay?" He said.

Thanked God, ayoko lang maka receive ng death threat sa mga babaeng nag hahabol kay Dark.

"Go to your room, then rest. You need it." Dad said, so I went to my room.

I badly need to rest, kanina ko pa hinahanap ang kama ko. I can finally lay down.

It's now morning and I can hear my Mom's, and a man's voice, but it's not my Dad's voice. I hurriedly stood up just to look who's the guy.

When I went down I saw his figure, he's laughing because of what my Mom said.

Out of the blue, I ask him. "Why are you here?" He turned to me with a smile on his lips.

"Good morning. I came here to pick you up, sabay na tayo pumasok. Mrs. Salazar." He said. Agad-agad? Hindi pa nga kami kasal. But we're getting there.

"Hindi pa ako naliligo, mauna ka na." I told him.

"Anak, wag ka ng pakipot mag aagahan pa naman tayo so may time ka pa maligo, now go back to your room, and take a bath." My Mom said. I didn't have a choice, hindi ko siya mapapaalis baka mapagalitan ako ng nanay ko.

After I finished bathing, I wore my office attire and went down. Dahil kanina pa sumisigaw nanay ko. Pag baba ko nakita ko sila na nakaupo na kaya umupo na rin ako sa tabi ni Dark.

While eating, my Mom broke the silence in this area, "So when are you guys start planning for your upcoming wedding?"

"Later after work, I hired my friend whose a wedding planner, she can help us," Dark said, then continue eating.

'She'? Meron siyang babaeng kaibigan? Wala naman akong nakikitang pumapasok sa office niya.

I was out of my own world when my Mom shouts my name. "Brianna, you okay?" She asked.

"Yes, I'm fine," I said. I looked at my side, I saw his smiling eyes. "What?"

"You're thinking of me?" He asked. "Make sure that I'm not naked." Because of what he said I slapped him on the arm. "Ouch! That hurts." He complained.

"That's what you get for saying those words."

I saw my parents laughing at us. "Don't laugh," I said to them.

"You guys are so cute." Mom said. Ngumiti lang kaming dalawa sakanya.

It's already 8 am when we left the house, and now we arrived at the company. Gusto ko sana bumaba kanina kaso ayaw niya, so ang ending sabay talaga kami papasok.

"Dark, pwede ba mauna na lang ako? Ayoko kasing may makakita sating dalawa na mag kasama, ayokong maging headline ng chismis ng mga tagahanga mo. So please, paunahin mo na lang ako." I told him. Please pumayag ka, ayokong pag kaguluhan.

I saw disappointment on his face. "Ok," he said, then walked first. Bakit siya ang nauna? I'm the one who should go first.

Sumunod na lang ako sakanya, but I made sure na hindi kami mag kasabay sa elevator. Pero sa kasamaang palad, nandon siya nakatayo while smirking at me.

Why is he smirking at me?

"You're late Ms. Villarreal." He said while smiling at me.

"I'm so sorry Mr. Salazar, sobrang traffic po kasi." Palusot ko, well nag palusot din naman siya.

"Get in." He said that's why I went inside the elevator. And it's too crowded, kaya nandito kaming dalawa sa pinaka dulo, and I felt his hand is searching for my hand.

"What are you doing?" bulong ko sakanya.

"Just give me your hand." I didn't ask why, I just give him my hand. Then he held my hand. He hides it in his pockets. Natatakot ako na baka may makahalata pero sa palagay ko naman ay wala.

*ting*

Nakarating na kami sa top floor kaya kinuha ko na ang kamay ko at ako na ang naunang lumabas. Nakita ko agad si Richmond na may kinakain kaya kukuha na sana ako nang iiwas niya 'yon.

"Akala mo hindi ko naramdaman presensya mo, kukuha ka pa ah." sabi niya kaya natawa ako.

"Pag talaga kukuha sa kinakain mo ang lakas ng pakiramdam mo." I said while laughing. Totoo naman kasi, pag may mag tatangkang kumuha sa kinakain niya iniiwas niya agad para walang makakuha.

Pero namimigay naman siya. Minsan nga lang.

Nag paalam na ako sakanyang pupunta na sa table ko para makapag simula na ng trabaho. Baka matanggal pa ako.

Ako matatanggal? Well, hindi siguro dahil magiging asawa ko naman ang boss namin, but I won't take advantage of me being the future wife of Dark. I don't want to be judged by others.

I didn't realize that I was already sitting in my seat. "You okay?" Dark asked.

I just nodded at him, and open my PC to start my work.

"Brianna set an appointment with Mr. Guzman, I want to have a meeting with him." He said. Agad kong tinawagan ang secretary ni Mr. Guzman na agad namang sinagot.

"Good morning this is Karina, how may I help you?"

"Good morning this is Brianna Villarreal, Secretary of Mr. Salazar. My boss wants to have an appointment with Mr. Guzman, is he available later after lunch?"

"Wala kasi si Mr. Guzman dito sa office. Pero kung malaman niya na si Mr. Salazar ang mag papa-appointment baka mag punta siya. I'll update you if he's available."

"Okay thank you, let me know if he's available. Just call me again, thank you very much."

After the call I focus on my job, then I received a message from Karina.

He's free and he said that he'll meet Mr. Salazar at his restaurant at 12 PM sharp.

I replied to her message, I said 'thank you to her before I tell it to Mr. Salazar who's busy with his phone.

"He's available, the meeting place will be at his restaurant, because he'll treat you lunch." I told him, he put down his phone and looked at me.

"Sumama ka sakin, sabay tayo mag lunch kasama si Guzman." He said. Just Guzman, because they're friends.

Miguel Guzman is his best friend. They've been business partners since the very beginning of their careers as businessmen.

"I think I don't have a choice," I said that made him laugh.

"Good that you know." He said and went back to his phone. I didn't bother him, I went back to my table and again focus on my PC.

Dark's POV

It's already lunchtime, and I know that I have to be in his restaurant at exactly 12 PM.

I felt my phone vibrates inside my pockets, and I know it's him. But I didn't answer it, because I want to tease that guy.

"Dark, you're phone. Answer it and let's go, we're late." Brianna said while packing her stuff.

"Okay," I said and I answered it.

"You a**hole, you finally answer my call. Where the hell are you? My secretary told you're secretary that 12 PM sharp. And I bet she told you that but didn't arrive on time."

I just laugh at him, I think he heard it.

"Tease me all you want you d*ckhead. Kung hindi lang kita kaibigan sinaksak na kitang hayop ka."

Tawa pa rin ako ng tawa dahil ang sarap niyang asarin. I was busy laughing when Brianna stood in front of me.

"Migz, sorry we're arriving late, you're friend here doesn't want to arrive on time because he wants to tease you," Brianna said.

"I knew it, thanks for telling me that Brianna. And because of that, I'll treat you to lunch, and it's okay to be late."

"Thanks! We'll see you when we get there. Bye." Brianna said and she hung up. She looked at me. "Let's go, before Miguel takes back his words of him treating me to lunch."

"But I'm the one who will treat you not that guy," I said but she just ignored me. "Don't ignore your husband."

She turns her head to me. "We're not married yet, so let's go." She said and walked out of my office. I followed her and we went to that guy's restaurant.

We arrived at the place and Brianna was the one who went in first because I was busy parking the car. From the parking lot, I saw both of them hugging each other. Brianna was smiling while talking to Miguel. I didn't know that the two of them are close.

I went in just to join their conversation. "It's good to know that you're doing well," masayang sabi ni Miguel then he turns his gaze at me. "Hindi ka ba pinapahirapan nitong kaibigan ko?" Miguel said and put his arm around me.

"Nope, thanks for asking," Brianna said. "If you excuse me I will look for a table for us." She added and she was about to leave when Miguel spoke.

"No need for that, I already took care of it, so let's go." Miguel said and walked first, we just followed him. Until we enter a VIP room.

"I'm awesome right?"

"Yeah, because this is your restaurant, you idiot," I said. I didn't bother to look at him because I know what reaction of his face was right now.

He's the one who ordered our food for today's lunch, and I bet that I will not spend my money on this. And thanks for that.

The food arrived, I was the one who put the food on her plate. She's shocked but she didn't stop me. And I think napansin 'yon ni Miguel.

"Am I missing something here?" He asked.

"Nothing," Brianna said.

I know that this upcoming wedding of me and Brianna is secret but I want to tell Miguel about it because if not, maybe he'll steal Brianna from me. I don't want that, what's mine is mine.

"Yes, you're missing something," I said that made Brianna cover my mouth.

"Don't say what's coming from your mouth." She said.

"I'm sorry, I can't let him take you away from me."

"What?"

"Guys, I'm waiting," Miguel said.

"We're getting married."
