DL 14: Sad Truth

Vile POV

Dinilat ko na ang mga mata ko. Everyone is here and they are all smiling at me.

"Mabuti naman Vile at gising ka na," Lola Veron said.

"Yeah... We worried too much," Wanda said.

Pinilit 'kong bumangon at...

"Hey! Don't push yourself. Just rest ok?" Ms. Elena said.

I smiled...

"I'm already fine," I said.

I heard Lola Veron sigh...

"Bakit mo ginawa 'yun Vile? Alam ko na alam mo na muntik ka nang mamatay. Kung hindi ka nadala agad dito ni Zion, malamang patay ka na."

I smiled cheerfully...

"Really? Zion brought me here?" I asked gladly.

They all nodded...

Napangiti na lang ako. Zion really care about me. I'm very happy to hear that.

"Why did you heal all of your friends even it will drain all of your power? Why did you sucked up all the poison from Zion's body?" Ms. Elena asked.

I sigh...

"It's because I love all of you. This guild is my family now. I will do everything that I can to serve this guild. I won't hesitate to offer my life because you are all worthy," I said sincerely.

They all smiled because of what I've said. I stood up quickly.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Rex asked.

"I will find Zion. I have to thank him for bringing me here quickly. He saved my life," I said cheerfully.

Tumakbo na agad ako palabas ng kwarto. I'm so happy because of what Zion did. He's so kind and caring person.

Hinanap ko siya sa buong guild. I can't see him. I'm just running and some sorcerers are greeting me so I'm smiling at them.

After a second, I stopped from running. I saw Zion and Sandra hugging each other...

I'm just staring at them. I don't know why they are hugging each other. Maybe, they are just grateful for everything that happened.

I moved towards them...

Kumalas na sila sa pagkakayakap nila sa isa't-isa. Napatingin na lang sila sa akin.

"Vile, papunta na nga ako sa'yo eh. Totoo pala na gising ka na," Zion said.

I smiled...

"Hmmm... I just want to thank you for bringing me here quickly. Once again, I owe my life from you," I said.

He smiled...

"Guys, kakausapin ko lang muna sila Wanda. You two should talk," Sandra said.

I'm just smiling and Sandra left me with Zion...

"Siya nga pala Vile, they said that only black master magician can use the weapon that we've got. How did you use it?" Zion asked.

I cleared my throat...

"Hmmm... I-I'm not really sure..." I said nervously.

"Sige na nga, iba na lang ang pag-usapan natin," he said.

Nakahinga na ako ng maluwag...

"Hmmm... Salamat ulit sa pagdala mo sa akin dito. I've heard that you're the one who brought me here that's why I'm safe now," I said sincerely.

He smiled... He's really handsome and dashing everytime that he smile.

"I should thank you also for sucking up all the poison from my body. Maybe, I died without you," he said.

"No worries... I promised that I will always save you, remember? Sabi ko naman sa'yo, makakabawi rin ako sa mga kabutihan mo sa akin. I won't hesitate to do it again for you," I said sincerely.

He's just smiling at me. I saw something that he is holding on his hand.

"Hmmm... What's that?" I asked.

Bigla niyang tinago sa bulsa niya ang hawak-hawak niya. I'm so curious.

"It's nothing... Don't mind it," he said seriously.

I smiled at him...

"Pansin ko na parang masaya ka ngayon. Madalas ka nang ngumiti," sabi ko.

"Yeah... There's something really good that happened," he said.

"Talaga? What is it?" I asked.

"Hmmm... Mamaya ko na lang siguro sasabihin sa'yo. Let's meet at the roof top of this guild this evening. I will just talk to our friends," he said.

I nodded...

He started walking away from me. What is it? I feel something that I shouldn't feel? Why did I feel sadness from my heart?

Hindi ko maintindihan...

Naramdaman ko na lang na may humawak sa balikat ko.

"You still love him?"

I nodded...

I heard Lola Veron sigh... She and Sandra are the only persons who knows my secret. They are the only persons who knows that I love Zion.

"What if he won't love you back?" Lola Veron asked.

Lumingon na ako sa kanya at ngumiti...

"Hindi naman po ako nanghihingi ng kapalit. I just love him so much. I'm not asking for anything. I just want to show my love for him but I didn't expect him to love me back," I said sincerely.

She smiled at me...

"You're too kind, my little healer," she said while tapping my head.

"Hmmm... Lola Veron, full moon po ngayon. I want to make a necklace for Zion," I said.

Biglang nagbago ang timpla ng mukha niya dahil sa sinabi ko. She looks quite frightened.

"Huh? You will make a moon necklace?" she asked nervously.

I nodded...

Moon necklace is really important. It will give more power to a sorcerer. Only healers can wield a moon necklace.

"The spell to make it is absolutely dangerous," she said worriedly.

"I know..."

"Ganyan mo talaga siya kamahal?" She asked.

I nodded... Moon necklace is usually given by a healer to someone that they truly love. Isang beses lang pwedeng gawin ang moon necklace.

We transformed into birds. I became a white dove and Lola Veron became a huge eagle. We flew up in the sky and we landed at the highest building of this guild.

"Are you really sure to create a moon necklace?" She asked anxiously.

"Of course..."

I am under the moonlight... I can feel its power.

I raised my hands in the air. I released two golden magic circles from my hands...

"By the grace of moonlight, hear my words; my spell. Let me wield an amulet to protect someone that I truly love..."

Moonlight is shining bright directly into my body. I know that sorcerers here in our guild can see the bright light that is shining into me.

"Please accept my power. Let my spell be done. I'm offering my magic; my soul."

I closed my eyes, I felt weakness. I felt that something was stolen from me. I think it's the cost of the spell that I'm doing.

After a few seconds... An enchanted and powerful necklace appeared in front of me. It is levitating in the air.

I smiled and then I get the necklace...

I can feel a genuine power from it...

"You did it right. You're done casting the spell," Lola Veron said.

"I'm so excited... Gusto ko na itong ibigay sa kanya," I said.

"Sige na... Aalis na ako. Ibigay mo na 'yan sa kanya."

She transformed again into an eagle and she flew away...

I think it's the right time for me to confess my feelings for Zion. I should tell him how much I love him.

Ito na ang tamang oras para umamin ako sa kanya. I'm not expecting anything in return but I just want him to know that I love him so much and I will do anything for him.

Matagal ko ring itinago ito dahil hindi pa ako handa na magtapat sa kanya pero ngayon, handa na ako. I already proved how much I can do just for him.

Sana hindi siya mailang...

Sana hindi siya magbago ang pagtingin niya sa akin...

"Vile! Bakit ang liwanag dito kanina. I saw that moon shined directly here."

Lumingon ako at nakita ko naman si Zion...

"Hmmm... I will give something to you."

Nakita niya ang moon necklace na hawak ko at napangiti siya. Mukhang nagulat pa siya.

"Wow! It's so beautiful! What is that?"

He looks amazed...

Pumunta ako sa likuran niya at isinuot ko sa kanya ang moon necklace.

"Ayan, bagay na bagay sa'yo," nakangiti 'kong sabi.

"Salamat... Saan ka nakakuha ng ganitong necklace? It's really beautiful," he said.

"Hmmm... I wielded it for you. It's a moon necklace. I used the power of moonlight to create that," I said.

"A moon necklace? What's this? I can feel that my power became stronger!"

His whole body glowing in a silver light...

Tumatalab na ang kapangyarihan ng buwan sa kwintas na suot niya.

"That moon necklace will double your power. You will become a lot stronger than before."

"It's awesome! Thank you Vile!" He said cheerfully.

"Please take care of that necklace..."

He looked at me seriously...

I shouldn't tell him the true cost of that necklace...

"With that necklace, I will feel if you need me. You will also feel if I need you," I said.

"Cool! It's a connection between us! I love it Vile! You're really awesome!"

He hugged me tightly...

Napangiti na lang ako...

"I'm so glad that you like it so much."

Kumalas na siya sa pagkakayakap niya sa akin...

"Hmmm... Ano nga pala 'yung sasabihin mo kanina?" I asked.

He smiled at me...

"Nasabi ko na sa friends natin pati kay Ms. Elena. I am also excited to tell you this," he said gladly.

He's so happy... He's smiling...

"I like Sandra. I will start courting her."

Hindi ko alam kung bakit pero natulala ako bigla. I don't know this feeling.

It's strange... I can feel that there's a burning in my chest.

I shouldn't feel this thing but I feel sadness; loneliness...

"H-Hey... Why are you crying?"

Natauhan ako bigla. I felt some warm tears falling from my eyes...

"I-I'm just happy for you. Bagay kayong dalawa ni Sandra."

Pinilit 'kong ngumiti. I don't know why, but it is hurting me. I shouldn't feel this thing.

Yes, I am happy for him but it is also hurting me.

He smiled at me...

"Naiyak ka pa talaga dahil lang masaya ka para sa akin? You're so genuine, Vile. I'm also very happy right now. I know that you're Sandra's bestfriend and you are also close to me."

I don't know what to say...

"Hmmm... May party nga pala bukas. It's a celebration because we finished our mission," he said.

"Parang wala akong gana na pumunta," mahina 'kong sabi.

"Huh? Why? May hihingiin pa naman sana akong favor sa'yo."

Napatingin na lng ako sa kanya...

"What is it? I won't hesitate to do it. Kahit ano..." I said sincerely.

"Hmmm... Can you please sing tomorrow in party? I want to hear your voice."

"Ok... What song?" I asked.

"Perfect by Ed Sheeran. It will really match Sandra and I," he said.

So, he want me to sing for them? It's not a bad idea because I know that he will become a lot happier if I do it.

He's smiling... That is the kind of smile that captivated my heart. I don't want to take away this smile.

"I'm happy for you. Can I also ask you a favor?" I asked.

"Yeah... What is it?"

I sigh...

"Can you promise that we are still friends kahit na anong mangyari?"

"Of course Vile! Ano ba namang tanong 'yan?"

Medyo natawa pa siya...

"Hmmm... Sana ok lang sa'yo na protektahan pa rin kita kahit na kayo na ni Sandra in the future. I just love to serve you Zion, you know that," I said sincerely.

"Ok... Nakakatuwa ka talaga Vile. You're too kind. We're so lucky to have you."

Ginulo niya pa ang buhok ko at tuwang-tuwa siya...

"Can I hug you?"

He looks curious but he nodded...

Biglaan ko siyang niyakap. I hugged him tightly...

I can't afford to take away his smile. I promised that I will do everything to keep him from smiling.

I'm not asking for anything but I can feel that my heart is turning into pieces. I know that he's straight and we're not really meant for each other but I do love him. I truly love him.

It won't change what I feel for him. I know that there is nothing wrong in loving a guy like him. I'm just loving him and I'm not asking for anything in return.

I don't know where this love can take me... I don't know what will happen to me but I'm just asking and praying that Zion will always be happy.

Alam ko kung hanggang saan lang ako dapat lumugar sa kanya...

All I can do is to protect him. The moon necklace will save him from every battle.

Hindi ko pwedeng sabihin sa kanya ang cost ng necklace na ibinigay ko.

I already sacrificed my soul to wield a very powerful amulet to protect him.

Moon necklace is also called as necklace of injustice; charm of unrequited love.

If I die, that necklace will destroy itself but Zion will continue living but if he die, I will also die.
