Months have passed and the memory of the festival was still as fresh as it happened yesterday for Sun.
“Hey, are you thinking of that festival boy again?” Ji snapped Sun out of his dreamland.
“Yeah, I’ll be lying if I say that I don’t. I’m just wondering, what are the odds that we’ll never meet though we’re on the same university as he said.”
“Our University is too big for you to bump with him often. You didn’t even know his name or his College. How could that be possible?”
“Still, I want to see him again.”
“But hey. I love how he and that festival changed you little by little. You’re not on your own world that much. You even joined me at the Cafeteria a while ago. He really thought you to overcome your phobia. ”
Sun reflected on what Ji has said. Yes, months after that incident, Sun can finally come to their College crowded cafeteria. She also made friends with some of their block mates and even participated in Ji’s Research Club.
“No, Ji. He didn’t just taught me, he is the reason why I do not fear anymore.” Holding their photo, Sun decided to look for him no matter what. “I will definitely see him soon.” She’s certain that their paths will cross again.
Walking home is not a new thing for Sun, but she really felt empty this time. She misses walking with some she misses the most. “Hey heart, why are you like this. You just met him and didn’t even know him well. Why are you missing him?” Whispering to herself, she again got their photo together and stared at him. Realizing that there is writing at the back of the photo, she immediately turned the photo and a message was handwritten over it.
“Blessed to be with the most beautiful thing in the world even for a night. Thank you. –Moon<3.”
Sun got teary eyed as she finished reading the note.
“Moon, what a beautiful name. Shall I wait for the next eclipse to meet you?” She jokingly told herself. Hope rises and she is more certain now that she’ll meet him. They are really meant to meet but in the right timing and in the right place. They don’t have to look for one another because destiny will bring them back together.
Sun suddenly received a call from Ji a little later.
[“Sun? Hey, Sun? Where are you? Are you at your condo already?”]
“No I’m not. I’m on my way though. Why?”
[“You’re near at the Univ right? Can you come with me at Ming’s College? They have an art exhibition now and he has given me 2 tickets that I’ve almost forgot. The exhibition was for a limited visitors only, so there will be no much crowd.”]
“Don’t worry, I will come with you. Wait for me in front of the cafeteria.”
[“Alright, Sun. Thank you and I love you!”]
Sun courageously walked back to the university even though she’ anticipating that she’ll meet so many students there.
But Ji is right; there are just few students that attended the exhibition. There are so many artworks displayed from paintings to sculptures and miniatures. What caught everyone’s attention was the painting in the middle of the room. A painting of a woman in the middle of the crowd, smiling. It was also intended to be the highlight of the exhibition for as the description of it says, the artist made it for just one day.
“That looks familiar.” Ji exclaimed as she approaches the painting.
Sun can’t get her sight out of it also. Suddenly, it brought memories of Moon and the photos he had taken of her. “Wait, Ji. Let me show you something.” She got her phone and look for the snaps of the photos Moon had given her.
“Hey, Sun! Don’t tell me it’s you. Look at this one, they look the same.”
Sun go near the painting and saw the signature of the artist at the lower right corner of it.
“It’s him.” Tears flowed from Sun’s eyes immediately. Sun was so elated seeing the signature. She looks around the room to see if she can get a sight of him. She was certain that she’s getting nearer to where he was.
“Ji, can I talk to Ming?”
“He’s at a meeting now, Sun. Why?”
“I think he can lead us to where Moon is.”
“Who’s Moon?”
“The festival guy.”
“How did you know his name?” Sun showed the message at the back of their photo.
“Oh, well. We can talk to him later.”
An announcement was made afterwards. Their time for the exhibition ends and they have to leave the room immediately for the next batch of viewers.
Sun and Ji came to the cafeteria. Sun was so nervous. She can’t even look straight to Ji who’s talking nonstop.
“Hey, Sun. Are you okay?”
“Hmm, yeah. Just a little nervous.”
“Ming told me that they’re done, he’ll come here soon.”
The two decided to order some snacks from the cafeteria and Ming came minutes after.
“Hey Ming, I know it would be odd to ask you. But did you know who’s the artist of the painting in the middle of the room?”
“About that, we just organized the event. The artists’ profiles remain confidential. They just brought their artworks at our club room and after some deliberation; they went back to their respective colleges. After the exhibition, we’ll meet again to bring them back.”
“Have you seen this man?” Sun showed Moon’s photo.
“Oh yeah. Right he’s the owner of the painting that you’re telling. I’m the one to receive his painting. Why?”
“I’m just looking for him. Can you notify me when the exhibit finishes?”
“Oh sure. I will.”
“Thank you.”
“One thing I knew about him, he Majors in Art, that’s his artwork was the best.”
Upon hearing this, Sun’s face shined and she became excited for whatever reason.
“Why do I feel that something weird will happen?” Ji whispered to her boyfriend.
“I don’t know what’s happening, but I can feel it also.”
“Should I be afraid about this already? Should I make an eye for Sun?”
“You just have to make sure that she’ll not do anything weird later.”
