Ding’s POV
I emptied my glass of water. It quenched my thirst for a while but the second I looked into her eyes, I felt the urge to drink again. Suddenly, it’s like I have a lump in my throat.
I wondered why.
“Finally, after so many years, Mom and Dad reconciled. Pero hindi ganoon kadali na pagkasunduin sila. I lied several times just make some ridiculous stories and worst I even admitted myself in a hospital just to set them up.”
“I’m not surprised at all. Kahit noon pa marami ka ng baong kalokohan. Mas magtataka ako kung sasabihin mong wala kang ginawa. When Mark told us about your parents reconciliation, lahat kami natuwa. We’re glad nabuo uli pamilya ninyo.” I reached for her glass and drank her drink.
