  “Congratulations!” Hindi na mabilang ni Sabina kung ilan na ang bumati at kumamay sa kanya magbuhat bumaba siya sa stage matapos abutin ang certificate of recognition and trophy na natanggap nya ngaun gabi. She got one of the the major awards for tonight’s celebration – Leader of the Year for her exemplary performance sa kumpanyang pinagta trabahuhan. Not to brag, she expected it. She worked hard for it. It’s something she had been aiming for the past months kaya she did her best. She feels fulfilled – but not completely happy. Napabuntunghininga si Sabina as she was able to finally walked out from the crowd. She walked her way to the restroom. After her short speech up there and the people she talked after she got down the stage, she feels tired. She just wanted to freshen up. Pero bago pa sya makarating sa restroom, she saw a pair walking towards her direction. The pair looked good together as they walked with their hands intertwined with one another. The lady is beaming, smiling happily and the tall and handsome man seemed to see no one but the lady beside him. Just few steps away from the two, the man finally noticed him. “Sabina, you’re here!” he stopped in front of her. “Hi – Mr President! Hello Alexis!” Sabina smiled to the beautiful woman in front of her. She smiled back shyly. “Congratulations! You did a good job!” bati at tinapik sya sa balikat. “Congrats po ulit, ma’am Sabina.” Tila nahihiyang bati naman ni Alexis. Sabina smiled too but her smile did not reach her eyes. She’s her subordinate. “We’ll go ahead.” At tumalikod na ang mga eto and Sabina wasn’t able to even say thank you. Huh! That was short! Sabina can only shake her head in frustration. Insecurities are slowly creeping in her head. No. It’s not her. She does not allow any negativities in her head. And she hates being insecure. No one is allowed to make her feel that way. No one. Yeah – except Alexis Lacson. She does not want to but she can’t help it.   “Sabina – why are you here?” nagulat pa si Sabina ng marining ang pamilyar na boses. You made it again and you continuously amaze me!” nakangitng sabi neto at kinamayan sya. “Thank you Sir. I just want to give my best as a sign of, as I always tell you, my gratitude.” She smiled sincerely as she speaks. “Nah. You’ve proven yourself already. Nevertheless, I really appreciate your loyalty.” Tumango eto at nagpaalam na sa kanya. Nakangiting muling umupo si Sabina. Yes, he owes him a lot and he’s one of the reasons why she’s working hard and smart. She wanted to earn his full trust and confidence. And she knows she’s almost there. Ginagawa nya ang lahat para ma impress nya si Ramon Montes – ang CEO ng Viltes Corporation at me ari ng kompanyang pinag ta trabahuhan nya. She owes him a lot dahil ang Viltes Corporation ang nasa likod ng Give Hope Foundation, ang organization na nagpaaral sa kanya sa college. If wala sila, she doesn’t know where she is right now. Iwinaksi muna ni Sabina ang nasa isip. Ayaw nya munang maging emotional ngaung gabi. She has no time for it. For how many years, she’s trying not to show too much emotion because her emotions can be destructive at times. Iginala nya ang mata sa paligid and her eyes landed once again to the lovely couple. She once saw again the beautiful woman she secretly envies. In the past years, walang sinuman ang nakapagparamdan sa kanya ng inggit, selos at insecurities.
