CHAPTER 5

548 Words
This will be the start of my very own vineyard. Maybe not first in the Philippines but definitely the biggest vineyard. I can't wait to tell it to my parents and Red and of course, my sister-in-law. “Vineyard! That's great. Brilliant in fact. The place is near in Tagaytay and the weather is nice. My brother is like a hero to me. Don't say that to him or else lalaki ang ulo. We are close as a knit. He is older than me. More serious than me. And he found his other half. But that life is not for me. Sometimes I feel like I am a shadow of him. That's why I want to build my own empire like what he did. It's not like I don't want to be in his place. It's just that I want to be a man of my own. Saka lagi silang naglalambingan ni Marie. Parang teens lang. Kadiri. “What made you decide to go for this kind of business? I chuckled and Red glared at me which made me laugh. I asked Marie. “Not yet. “Here we go again. Spend all you want?! Tsk. You know, aalis na ako. Tanggal na ako sa payroll,” I said then laughed when Marie rolled her eyes. “I can persuade you, you know,” Red said to Marie. There they are again. Their eyes are talking which made me feel uncomfortable. “Get a room.” I throw some piece of paper to Red. Red laughed at me. He laughs so often now that it made me feel weird. Red doesn’t laugh before. Not like this. He growls and scowls, but he never laughs like this. “You laugh like a Gorilla. God, Red your shoulders are even shaking,” I teased. I want to see if his mood will change in a bit like before. But no, he just keeps laughing. And it's weird and good at the same time.
