Chaos Series 1: Angel

The first day of the foundation day didn't really became a big deal to me. But it was sure stressing and tiring. From all the running and walking here and there. I have to bring these here, I have to bring these there. Hayst.

"Uy... ayos ka lang? Mukhang pagod na pagod ka ah." My head slowly turn at Ellie's side and a faint smile appeared on my lips.

"Medyo lang..." I replied, and yet my voice sounded so hoarse and tired.

"Oh, you're voice sounded so tired, Angel! Pinapagod ka ba nila sa SSG?! Gosh, lagot sa akin si Ezekiel!" She said and my eyes widened.

"Ellie no! I'm fine! You don't have to do that! Ano ka ba?! Lets just forget about it, how 'bout you? Kamusta ang contest?" I ask and she rolled her eyes.

"Okay lang, hindi naman ganoon naging mahirap." She replied and I slowly nod.

"That's great! I'm sure you will win the contest! I believe in you! I believe in your art and skills!" I said and I hear her laugh.

She look at me, "Really?" She ask and I nod.

"Really." I said and she rolled her eyes before shaking her head.

"Stop it Angel, I know I'm not good at drawing." She said and my eyes widened.

"You are kaya!" I exclaimed and she just shook her head and plug in her earphones which made me shut up.

When we arrived at the house, I saw some snacks on the dining table and I didn't even hesitate to grab a plate of cookies and bring it upstairs to my room.

There is still some fresh milk by my small fridge which is perfect for the cookies.

I didn't do much that is concern to school since all day I'm either eating or doing something.

When mom and dad came we had dinner and after that, changed to some pajamas and went to sleep.

On the second day of the foundation is more tiring than the first. That's when more contest and events happened.

I was paired with the Treasurer of the SSG to look after this one event that all I did was to give foods and drinks to the judges. Its a robotics contest and it took 4 hours to finish. So its 4 hours of me going around and checking if everything is fine. If no robot is is smoking or getting on fire. Safety and peace is in our hands here because we are the so called "officers" here aside from the facilitators of the event.

That's what happened in the morning. After lunch, we had to prepare and do some finishing touches in the event hall for the pageant that last till 7pm.

And of course, mom and dad had to send one of our driver inside the school just to make sure that we are not doing anything that mom and dad won't like. Such as dating, or... being with a guy. I was always with the officers while Ellie is at a VIP chair alone which actually made me sad because she looks so bored there.

When we went home I immediately got knocked out of bed.

The 3rd and last day of the foundation is cleaning time in the morning. This time, students can go around and eat wherever they want. While the officers calculate the scores for all of the contest that happened from the past two days because the awarding of winners will be today.

"Angel mag snack ka muna." My head snap at my side as Ezekiel hands me a chocolate Fudgee Bar and a Chuckie.

My mouth formed a small 'o' as I reach for the foods.

"Thanks, pero mag ca-calculate muna kami." I said and he slowly nods.

I put down the foods and went back on what I'm doing. When suddenly Mikee speaks.

"May Chuckie? I want Chuckie too. Pres saan galing yung Chuckie?" Mikee asked, I also noticed that she's just drinking soft drinks and so are the others such as the secretary and peace officer, well almost all of them.

"Ahm Mikee, if you want you can have-

"Tumahimik ka nalang Mikee. Iisang lang yung Chuckie, 'wag ka nang choosy sa nakuha mo. Buti nga tayo may libreng pagkain. Yung ibang students kailangan nilang bumili." Ace cut me of, our heads snap at his direction and I saw how Mikee pouts and shake her head.

Around 10 pm when we finished calculating, and Ellie won! I saw her artwork and its so pretty! It's perfect and deserving to win! I'm really gonna celebrate with her tomorrow!

"Angel hindi na malamig yung Chuckie mo, inumin mo na." My head snap at Ezekiel's direction. I remember about my Chuckie and run towards it. I pout as it is no longer cold which is it's best state.

"Aww, sayang naman, mamaya ko nalang iinumin, papalamigin ko muna." I said and was about to walk towards the cooler when Ezekiel suddenly hand me a plastic cup with some ice inside.

"No, eat now. Kanina ka pa nalipasan ng snack. It's not good for you." He said and my brows furrowed.

"Grabe ka naman, snack lang yon. It's not a meal para ma-apektuhan ang health ko kung hindi ko makakain." I said and he chuckled before shaking his head. I reach for the cup and transfer the chuckie inside.

"Careful ha? Baka madumihan 'yang shirt mo, it looks cute pa naman." He said and I just nod. When I finished transferring all of the beverage to the plastic cup, I was about to throw it away when Ezekiel snatch it out of my hand.

"Eat, ako na bahala dito. Masyadong kang nagiging abala baka napapabayaan mo na sarili mo." He said and I just slowly nod.

I sit down on an empty chair with an arm rest. We are at their office now which I already felt comfortable and attached. This office gives me comfort already since I'm used to it and I'm also here everyday.

I ate my first bar within 3 minutes. I'm folding the paper of it when another bar, vanilla this time is placed down in front of me. I look at Ezekiel and furrowed my brows.

"Marami pang sobra, sayang naman." He said and I just slowly nod before picking it up and eating it. Chocolate is nice, but this flavor is good too.

I finished my second bar and so is my drink. After lunch we will announce the winner of the contests.

We ate lunch quick and rush to the event hall that now has a different decorations. Ace, the Peace Officer and the representatives are the one who changed the decoration yesterday night and this morning.

Ezekiel is the president, but he's not the type of president that would speak in front of the whole school to announce the winners. So one of our best broadcasters in our school journalism and best student in Mass Communication are the ones who serve as the MCs.

The officers and me who is the president's assistance are just the ones who gave them their awards and the trophies.

When the winner for the poster making is announced. Ezekiel push me towards the stage to award Ellie her certificate and medal.

It was awkward but I saw the smile on the teacher's faces. And so are the other students. When I went down Ezekiel is laughing which made me glare at him.

"Palibhasa only child, walang kapatid, malungkot ang childhood, kawawa." I said and I hear him burst into laughter. Throwing his head back before leaning forward and falling down his chair which made me worried and pull him back.

"Ezekiel careful nga! You almost fell!" I scolded and he just laugh at it as if it's nothing.

"At least I have friends in childhood, Ace and his brothers." He said and I rolled my eyes.

The other awards are awarded and we are dismiss so early. The teachers are the ones who told us to leave the school by 3pm and we, not even Ezekiel and the other officers were able to protest even they want to clean the school so bad.

But the teachers said we've been so busy and tired these passed days. They said we deserve so much rest. And its pleasant to my ears to be honest.

So I used the free time to search up what we can do tomorrow. While eating some pretzels, I'm looking at the internet for some cupcakes recipes, decoration idea, some treats we can also do tomorrow as well as smoothies.

After dinner I immediately went to sleep because that's what I need right now. A goodnight sleep.

I woke up around 8:30am, I look around my room and saw that the sunlight is already taking over my whole room.

I went for a body wash first and didn't go for a full shower since I did that last night. I was expecting for me to eat breakfast alone. But to my surprise, Ellie is already there, eating alone and using her phone at the same time.

"Umalis na sila mom and dad if you're wondering." She said as I sit down across her.

"I'm not looking for them, I'm actually surprised that you're up na." I said and she scoffed.

"I thought we're gonna have a bonding time." She said, not looking at me, my eyes widened and I immediately nod my head.

"We are nga! We are, that's why I took a bath na so we can start after we eat." I excitedly said, I hear her chuckle and nod.

We had breakfast and I tried my best not to each much since we are gonna cook and bake later.

Around quarter to 10am we started mixing flours and eggs. We are playing music by the kitchen and we ask maids not to interrupt nor help us.

In the middle of cooking I suddenly remember when we were just teenagers, around 14 to 17 years old. We would bake cookies and accidentally burn them. But of course, we keep it a secret, and instead, put fresh milk in it and pretend it's a cereal.

"I think I want vanilla instead of chocolate." Ellie said and my head snap at her.

"But I want chocolate frosting on it." She said and I slowly nod.

"We can do that, I'll just separate the mixtures." I said as I separate the batter. Putting chocolate powder at the other, and vanilla go the other.

While we are baking the cupcakes, we started making the frosting.

"Angel bakit mo kinakain yan?! Mawawalan tayo ng pang frosting the cupcakes." Ellie said, I chuckled.

"Then we will make nalang ulit." I said and I hear her sigh.

"Let me taste nga." She said and I gave her a spoon full that almost choke her.

"Angel!- hey... that taste good." She said and my eyes widened.

"Diba?! Here, lets try this." I said and pull out from our pantry the pretzels I was eating last night.

"Try," I said as I hand her a pretzels dipped in white frosting.

She took it and I examine her expression.

Her eyes widened, "Hey... that taste good! What?! How?!" She said and a smile appeared on my face.

"Lets make more frosting then lets bring these its upstairs. Baka sa cookies bagay din siya?" I unsurely said and she squinted her eyes.

When the cupcakes got baked, we put frosting on them and sprinkles and other decoration.

Ellie brought the tray of pancakes to her room as I follow with the tray of pretzels, a pack of cookies, and the bowl of frosting.

"Movie? Till... sunset?" She ask and I could only chuckle and nod.

In short we are eating and watching movie the whole day. We were laughing and making jokes which actually feel so good. I kind of miss the old times when we were younger. When small things made us happy and no much hectic works.

By the end of the day, I almost didn't make it in dinner. But our parents want us eating together.

I badly want to point out Ellie's success yesterday, but I know they won't like it if I said that she participated in an art contest.

I lay down on my bed and sigh, the blankets feels so comfortable and warm. I'm enjoying the comfort of my bed when my phone suddenly beeped. My brows furrowed and checked who it is.

from Alaire Ezekiel:

Free ka ba tomorrow?

My eyes widened and I immediately sat up on bed.

to Alaire Ezekiel:

I am, are we gonna go out na ba? Hindi ka pa ba pagod?

from Alaire Ezekiel:

I'm fine, I just want to hang out with you.

My head tilts and I scratch the top part of my head.

"I guess.., there's nothing with it,.. right?" I said before typing a reply.

to Alaire Ezekiel:

Sure, magpapa-alam lang ako. What time ba and saan ang ating meeting place?

I'm waiting for his reply, a reply that contains time and place of where and when we should meet. But instead I got a different reply.

from Alaire Ezekiel:

Its on me, I'll pick you up.
