Chaos Series 1: Angel

"So what? You're telling me na kumain lang talaga kayo?" Ellie ask, sounding a bit a disappointed. Bakit ba parang may gusto pa siyang mangyari? Bakit parang di siya kuntento at masaya na nabusog na nga ng sobra-sobra ang kapatid niya.

I slowly nod, "Oo... ano pa ba dapat?" I asked and she sigh, frustration is audible from her voice.

"Dapat nag-inom man lamang kayo. You guys had plenty of time to drink. Inabot na nga kayo ng gabi sa labas. I was so happy and excited baka kasi you finally knocked the s**t out of your head at naisipan mong uminom." She said and my eyes widened. My jaw dropped and my hands moved on its own and flew to her right arm.

"Aray! Angel naman! Bakit ka nanakit?!" She exclaimed,

"Sorry, pero kung ano-ano kasi ang sinasabi mo. I'm not like you Ellie. I don't...  have fun in that kind of way. I have fun by... by being at peace, silence, soft music, writing and reading books. I don't have fun in loud places. Like bars, party and many things that you like. Its the opposite." I said and she slowly nod before sitting up straight on my bed.

She sigh, "Fine, that's acceptable. Things like that do happen sa magkapatid." She said and I slowly nod.

"Pero... try... just try, please Angel. You're not gonna enjoy your 20's more kapag may trabaho kana. Just try it. Once, then kapag hindi talaga. Kapag ayaw mo talaga, then its a no." She said and I nod.

"Okay, I'll try, but not now. Okay?" I said and she nods before standing up.

"I'll be going now. May pasok pa bukas. I'll do something in my room. Bye!" She said and I nod.

"Bye! Goodnight!" I said and she look at me from the door frame.

"Goodnight my big sister." She joked making the both of us laugh. She closed the door and I was finally able to lay down on my bed.

I have took a shower already. Well Ellie let me because she said I smell a bit like vehicle smoke and foods, mixed with sweat. In short I smell haggard and messed up. That's why she waited for few minutes and let me take a peaceful body wash before she even let me utter any word about the food trip that I enjoyed much. We didn't also ate dinner, she said she had noodles around 5pm, that's why she's also full. In my case, I think I won't be eating until tomorrow's breakfast.

I'm just really full and I can't even think of any food. If I do, my tendency is to run towards my bathroom and p**e out all the foods I had this afternoon.

I crawl towards the upper part of my bed and softly lay down my head on the pillow. I closed my eyes and think of peace when my phone suddenly beeped. My eyes shot open and I reach for my phone which is on the bedside table.

When I look at it, it's Ezekiel.

from Alaire Ezekiel:

I had fun kanina. Ikaw ba?

to Alaire Ezekiel:

Of course I did, I really enjoyed it.

from Alaire Ezekiel:

Good! Next time, let's try sa Tondaligan sa Pangasinan.

I shut my eyes as I read his message. I know that place. The one near the beach. Ellie have been there once and she showed me the foods she ate  and just by thinking of them makes me want to throw up.

to Alaire Ezekiel:

Can we stop talking about foods muna? I'm really feeling nauseous right now.

from Alaire Ezekiel:

Ha? Why? Is something wrong? May nakain ka ba na allergic sayo? Have you took medicine na? Kumain ka na ba?

That made me groan, nasusuka na nga yung tao dahil sa sobrang pagkajn tapos tatanungin pa kung kumain na.

to Alaire Ezekiel:

No no, I'm fine. Nasobrahan lang ako sa pagkain kanina that's why I feel like throwing up. I also didn't eat dinner anymore or else my stomach will explode. I think I won't be able to eat breakfast na rin.

from Alaire Ezekiel:

Okay okay, I guess its time for you to sleep now. Goodnight Angel! See you sa campus tomorrow.

to Alaire Ezekiel:

Goodnight! See you!

After I hit send, I immediately put down my phone on the bedside table and turn off the lights and in no time I drifted to dreamland.

My alarm is set at 5:30am today. I took a shower and slip on some grey checkered skirt, while polo, and a matching blazer for my skirt. I put my hair to a low ponytail and put light make up. Around 7:30am, I went out my room. As I was about to take a step to the stairs, I hear the door from Ellie's room opened. So I look at her direction and saw her walking towards me.

"Hey..." I softly called which made her head snap up.

"Did you had a nice sleep?" I asked and she slowly nod.

We went down the stairs together and went to the dining where mom and dad are already at.

"Girls, have a seat, its Monday." Dad said, I put down my bag and take my seat. When I look all over the foods, I felt shivers down my spine.

I still feel so full from yesterday.

"Yaya..." I called one of our maids.

She walk towards my side, "Yes ma'am?" She politely ask.

"Please prepare me a glass of milk, the way I like it. Thank you." I said and she nods before walking away.

I don't want to eat. Really, I just know that my parents won't like it if I don't join them to the dining table. So I'll just have a milk.

"How was your meeting with that Guillermo, Angel?" Dad asked and my eyes snap at him.

"Dad its not a meeting-

"Am I asking you Ellie? I'm talking to your sister." Dad cut her of which Made me feel bad for Ellie.

"Dad... Ellie is right, its not a meeting-

"Then what is it? A date? You had a date?" Dad cut me off which made my jaw dropped

"D-Dad no, of course not. It was a food trip, but I did had a talk to him about the business." I said and I saw dad squints his eyes and lean forward.

"So? What did he said?" He asked,

I gulped, "He said that... the plantation will contain vegetables and ornamental plants. That's what he only gave me. About the new product, he said it was not yet sure. And about the meeting...  he said he will try to contact his father's secretary." I said and in a second dad slammed his fist on the dining table making me and Ellie jolt up.

"I knew it, I just knew they would do this! They're trying to compete with us! They are starting to create business that we have so that they will be our rivals. Those Guillermo! Angel..." Dad called and my head snap up ay him. The milk already arrived that/s why I was drinking it a while ago.

"I want you to be as close as possible to that Guillermo and find out more things about their business." He said and I slowly nod.

"Didn't I told you about this? Now you're involved to the business. You're now obligated to report to him about what he wants. Gosh Angel, this is so messed up." Ellie ranted inside our van. Started dad said those to me, I've been seeing Ellie eyeing at me. That's why I just know that once we enter our van, she will start scolding me. And i wasn't wrong. Here I am now, listening at her.

"Its fine Ellie, its no big deal." I softly said and she look at me and nod.

"Sabagay, you can have more fun with Ezekiel in the future without worrying about our strict parents." She said and I pouted before looking down on my phone.

We soon arrived at the school and me and Ellie split up. I went directly to my class and wait for the classes to start. We had a small flag ceremony inside the classroom before the teacher started teaching it was organizational leadership that is our first subject, followed by economics. Which we have something to do. Its recess yet I'm here inside the classroom doing some schoolworks. Its pretty easy that's why I decided to do it now.

Before I could even eat recess, the bell rang and another set of classes started. Looks like I'll just be eating by lunch.

When the morning classes  ended, I immediately rush to Ellie's classroom to the other building which is far and tiring but I want to eat lunch with her. As I watch her classmates pass by me and leave their classroom, I saw her inside, talking to Ace. Looks like they are having a serious conversation that's why I waited for few minutes before she pass by me.

"Ellie...-

"Oh, Angel, sorry hindi muna ako makakasabay kumain sayo. Me and Ace have really something to discuss." She said that made me loose my smile.

"Oh, okay okay, I understand." I said and was about to turn my back when she called me.

"Angel, you didn't had breakfast nor dinner kagabi. You need to eat, okay? Wait..." Ellie pause and I look at her. She's looking around trying to spot someone.

"Zek! Come here!" She shout and my brows furrowed. I saw Ezekiel walking towards our direction.

"Since the teacher decided to give me a partner like Ace. And I can't join Angel sa pagkain ng lunch dahil kay Ace, please do me a favor and eat with Angel. Baka kasi hindi kumain yan, hindi pa yan kumakain ng kahit ano since yesterday." Ellie said and my eyes widened. 

"Ezekiel you don't-

"I want to, now let's go. Nalipasan kana ng gutom." He said before I felt his hands on my wrist and drag me out of teh building.

I noticed the different route which made me a bit panic.

"Hey... bakit tayo lalabas ng campus?" I asked,

"Lets have lunch sa Mcdo. I'm getting tired of the foods sa cafeteria." He said and I just nod. We arrived at the parking lot and he opened the door of  his car for me before he went to the other side.

We drove off and it didn't took that long since there's a Mcdo near the school.

He opened the entrance for me and thankfully, there's no much students here. Just some from other universities.

"Have what you want, I know wala pang laman 'yang sikmura mo." He said and I nod. I had a rice bowl, a burger, and some fries. He ordered almost the same as mine, except he ordered a different kind of  rice bowl.

While waiting for the foods, it was so silent and awkward for the both of us. Until the  burgers and fries came. Followed by the rice bowls, and ice creams?

"I ordered ice cream, for dessert." He said and I slowly nod. We started eating, and like a while ago, no one dare to utter a word.

Until we both finished our burgers, I hear him clear his throat.

"Raphael, Ace's brother will have a party this Thursday, I would like invite you." He said and my head snap up.

"Ha?" I asked, my mouth filled with rice. He chuckled which I supposed is because of my cheeks so I swallowed it first.

"Sino yun? Di ko kilala? Tsaka bakit ikaw nag-invite? Diba dapat si Ace kasi siya ang kapatid?" I asked and he burst out laughing..

Hindi naman yun nakakatawa.

"Well he told me to invite anyone I want. He would probably invite  Ellie." He said and my jaw dropped.

I slowly nod, "Oh, okay, I think I can make it."
