Chaos Series 1: Angel

"Oh dahan-dahan kasi. Kaya ka nabubulunan eh." Saway sa akin ni Ezekiel nang masamid ako sa isang piraso ng calamares.

"Ano ka ba naman, okay lang ako." I said before accepting the water he handed me.

"Bakit kasi hindi tayo nag-order ng drinks?" Tanong niya bago kumagat sa kaniyang burger.

Napasimangot ako, "Sorry na, masyado akong na carried away sa mga pagkain kaya nawala na sa isip ko ang drinks." Ani ko at tumango siya.

"Its fine..." he mumbled and I noticed that he didn't even lift his head up.

Is he upset? Is he mad? Is he bored?

"Ahm... may round 2 pa naman. Sa round two nalang tayo mag-order ng drinks." I said, this time hoping that he will at least lift his head up.

And he did! He lift his head up and nod which made me sigh in relief that he is not mad at me.

"Sure," he replied before looking back down at his food.

I pursed my lips and slowly bring foods to my mouth as I think of something to talk about.

"Ahm... did you know yesterday me and Ellie baked cupcakes?" I said, trying to start a conversation.

He hums and nods but his head still lowered on the table, eating his food.

"That's great, how was it?" My mouth formed a small 'o' when his head snap up.

"It was great! The cupcakes taste good! And... and... I ate a lot." I shyly said he smiled and chuckled. His eyes almost disappearing because of how narrow his eyes are. But its cute, I find it cute.

"Its fine, don't be shy. Its cute actually, I was watching you eat your burger a while ago. It's cute that you only pay attention to your food." He said which made me even more shy. He saw that? He watched me eat that 3 patty burger a while ago. My cheeks probably looks so big.

"I wish someone look at me the same way you look at your foods." He said that made my brows furrowed.

"What do you mean?" I confusedly ask before scooping a spoon full of sisig.

He chuckled, his hand covering his mouth.

"Nothing, nothing, I really find it cute on how you look at your burger a while ago." He said and I pouted. I noticed some grease on his hands so I grab tissues and reach for his hands, pulling them closer to me.

"Maglalagkit ang kamay me if you don't get cautious sa mantika ng kinakain mo." I said as I wipe his hands. I noticed how cute they are. Which made me chuckle a bit.

"Hey, hey, don't insult my hands. I know they are not that big." He said and my eyes widened before looking up at him.

"I'm not insulting it." I said and he rolled his eyes.

Gosh, this man! Did be just... did he just rolled his eyes at me?!

"Sus, ganiyan na ganiyan din ang sinasabi ni Ace sa akin when we first started hanging out and he noticed my hands." He said which made me chuckle and let go of his hands.

"You and Ace are bestfriends right?" I ask as I put down the tissue that I used to wipe his hands on the table.

He nods, "Yes, I met him in 7th grade,  then until now, we are friends. We grew together from boys to men." He said and I slowly nod.

"So you studied to your school from 7th grade?" I asked and he nods.

"Siyempre, school 'yon ng parents ko. Of course doon na ako mag-aaral." He said and I slowly nod before eating another spoon of sisig.

"Ikaw ba? Saan ka nag highschool? Let's know more things about each other. Kaya nga ako nag-akit kumain diba?" He said and I nod before putting down the spoon and wiping the side of my lips with a tissue.

"Well... me and Ellie studied highschool in Los Baños, that time, our parents started to give so much attention to our company, that's why... every weekend, me and Ellie thought that we would have some family bonding time, but we didn't. Nakatira kasi kami sa isang bahay namin sa Los Baños, so we don't get to see the both of them at weekdays. Kaya naman kapag weekends, kapag uuwi kami sa Manila, we thought na makikita namin sila. But that didn't really happened." I said, mixed with hand gestures and facial expression. When I look at Ezekiel, he's looking at me straight to my eyes which made me conscious a bit.

"May dumi ba ako sa mukha?" I ask before started touching different parts of my face to see if there's any sauce, grease or something on it.

He shakes his head, "Wala wala, continue talking. Ang cute mo kapag nagke-kwento, I'm not wrong when I said that it will be fun to hang out with you and eat." He said and I shyly smile.

"Okay... ahm..." I paused and look around trying to see if something reminds me of my childhood.

When I spot none and look back at Ezekiel, he's already done with his burger.

"Ahm... do you remember the cheesecake you gave me during... preparation for foundation day?" I asked and he nods whiel wiping the side of my lips.

"Yes, why?" He ask,

"Well... favorite ko talaga 'yon. Starting pagkabata. Even the Fudgee bar. Those kinds of foods. Biscuits, cupcakes, those kinds na may commercials sa TV. Favorite ko talaga yon." I said and he chuckled before nodding.

"Okay, I'll ask the one who's assigned on buying foods for the office na ganun ang bilhin. Since ikaw naman ang suki ng food storage natin." He said and I pouted.

"Grabe ka naman, hindi kaya! Si Ace nga nakita ko kumuha ng Cadbury doon." I said and he burst into laughter.

"Loko-loko takaga 'yan si Ace. Cadbury pa talaga?" He exclaimed while laughing.

I pouted, "Ako nga yung malaking KitKat." I said and his eyes widened.

"Pero inalok kasi niya ako! And I don't reject foods! Blessing kasi yon!" I immediately said and he once again burst out laughing. Even throwing his head back this time.

"Okay okay, I get it, I didn't say anything  bad naman." He said and I pouted before rolling my eyes.

"Lets just get more foods." I said and pick up the tray where the plates and other utensils we used. He have another tray which contains the plates he used and we brought it back to the stalls.

For the second round, we bought corndogs, milktea, takoyaki, shawarma, and some dumplings.

"Hey... you're wearing the pants you lend me." I said as we went back to our table, with the tray of foods in our hands. I noticed that when we were walking a while ago.

He put down his tray and look at the pants before pulling it upwards by the waistline, fixing it.

"Yes, this is one of my favorite pants. I like skinny jeans." He said and j slowly nod while eating a piece of takoyaki.

"You washed it na diba?" I asked and he look at me and squints his eyes.

"You washed it anyways already right? Sabi mo diba?" He asked and my mouth forms a small 'o'.

"Pero I only used Victoria Secret soap to wash that. You should have washed it with a   detergent or fabcon, or anything na pang laba talaga." I said and he chuckled while shaking his head.

"Hindi na, hindi na kailangan. I like the smell of it." He said and I pouted.

"By the way, I'm curious. Why did you offer me this position nga pala? Last year, I wasn't able to ask why but since I was so eager to be part of the SSG, ayun, pumayag ako. But now I want to know." I said before taking a bite of my corndog. He put down the chopsticks he's using to eat the dumpling.

"Well... naisip ko kasi na... deserve mo rin naman maging officer. Kaso... ako yung napili ng school and voters. Hindi naman pwede na dalawa tayong president, thats why...  I offered you a position. Para naman... officer ka rin." He said and I slowly nod.

"Pero I'm not an officer. There's no such thing a assistant officer." I said

and he chuckled.

"You're my assistant. Let's just say... you're the president's secretary." He said and I slowly nod.

We continue to have a talk and eat, but we didn't had any 3rd round anymore. Maybe the ice cream, but that's just it before we decided that the food trip is over.

"Are you sure na may susundo sayo?" He ask while we are outside the place.

I nod while looking at my phone, "Yes, nakapag text na ako sa driver namin, he shall be here in minutes." I said and he slowly nod.

"Okay, I'll wait for your driver before I leave." I said and j nod, we waited for minutes there before I see our van coming. I bid goodbye to him and enters the four wheeled vehicle.

When I arrived at the house./. its already dark outside. I was expecting mom and dad to be here since it's almost 8pm, but they are not.

I sneakily went upstairs to my room. Just as I entered my room and put down my bag, someone knocked on my door which made my heartbeat fast.

"Angel its me! You owe me story time!" She shout from the outside of my room. I sigh before walking towards it and opening it, to see her there, smiling.

"Story time sis."
