Chaos Series 1: Angel

"What the heck Angel! Alam mo ba ang pinag gagawa mo?!" Napasimangot ako at niyapos ang aking nga tuhod papalapit sa aking dibdib.

"Angel naman! Business na nila yon! Do you know what you're getting yourself into?" Usal muli ni Ellie.

Kanina pa niya ako pinapagalitan. Simula nang umalis sila mom and dad at natapos akong kumain ay agad niya akong hinigit sa aking kwarto.

"It was just an excuse naman." I said and I hear her scoff.

"An excuse? Pero what? He wants you na mapapayag si Ezekiel? And what if you two were not able to talk about it? Gagalitan ka nila? You're just putting yourself in trouble." She said before massaging her temples.

"Pero... I..." napabuntong hininga ako nang hindi ko na alam ang sasabihin.

I don't get why she's so mad, I don't get why she acts like this after what I did. I want to know but I can't seem to form a sentence on how I should ask about it.

"What? You what?" She ask and I just lower down my head.

Few minutes ay hindi ito nagsalita, but I know the scolding didn't end here. I know there's more. I know she will scold me more.

And I'm not wrong..

"Angel... its just... I'm sorry for yelling. Pero out of all excuse, yun talaga? You used business? You used something that is so important to the both of them that they are willing to sacrifice everything just for that Goddamn business?" She said and I just pouted.

"Pero wala na akong ibang maisip." I said and I hear her sigh.

"I'm here, diba sabi ko I'll cover up for you? Angel... don't you trust me?" She softly ask that made me guilt immediately. I saw how down her expression is that made me even more guilty.

"Ellie of course I do! Pero-

"Pero takot ka lang talaga na I won't be able to cover up for you well? At mahuli ka?" She cut me off, I pouted and slowly nod before hugging my knees tighter.

"I'm sorry, pero that's the reason why. I trust you Ellie, of course, you're my sister. But I just can't help but to worry at the same time." I said and she nods.

"Fine, okay, I get it. Now I'll leave and enjoy mamaya." She said before standing up, I lift my head up and watch her leave my room.

Guilt started eating me up. I cant help but to tear up a bit. I just made Ellie upset because of me. Because of my own decisions. I'm such a bad sister.

Around 10:30am, I went down to the kitchen to find something to eat. And there's always something to eat. But the leftover cupcakes from yesterday caught my attention. I ate 1, then 2, and before I could even eat my 3rd cupcakes. I suddenly remember Ellie. So I grab a food tray, put cupcakes to a plate, cookies and some croissant that our baker just baked a this morning since the pretzels run out.

"Ellie? Hey... its me, Angel." I said as I softly knock, I didn't hear her respond at first but few seconds later she opened her door and I saw her on a messy bun.

"Hey... ahm, I'm sorry for what I did please don't be upset to me. I'll buy you anything you want just please don't be upset to me." I said and push the tray forward closer to her.

I hear her sigh, "Angel I'm not mad." She said and I pouted.

"But you were screaming." I said and she shake her head.

"No, its my fault too. I shouldn't have reacted that way. Its my fault I became overreacting. I forgot you're a business administration student, if ever they ask you to do more, you can handle it." She said and I pouted once again.

"But... at least accept these foods." I said and she look down at the tray.

"Have you eaten snack already?" She ask and I nod.

"Yes, now please take these." I said and she hums.

"You sure? You had croissant na? You didn't get one kaninang breakfast." She said and I look at the pair of croissant before smiling.

"Can I have the other one?" I ask and she chuckled before nodding.

She get the tray from my hand as I pick up the strawberry flavored croissant and I left her with the chocolate one.

"If you need anything I'll be at my room." I said and she nods.

Before lunch come, I already pick clothes to wear. It'll be yellow, plain shirt, under a yellow, checkered, spaghetti strap dress. And for my feet, is a pair of white sneakers.

When lunch came, I didn't ate much, well that was my plan. But when I saw what's for lunch, I can't help but to not eat those beef steak, pork barbecue, and chicken fillet.

When 2pm came, I took a shower and dried my hair. Put on light make up, before putting my hair in a low ponytail.

Its just 2:30pm, but I searched last night that Buendia Food By The Court is a bit far from our house. So I went down and find an available driver.

"Kuya lets go?" I said to one for our drivers and he nods.

I went inside our van and we drove off.

Around 2:58, almost exact time for our meeting time, I arrived at the place. My jaw dropped a bit as I look around.

There's a lot of people here already.

"Kuya... I'll just... text if uuwi na ako." I said and he nod before entering the driver seat and driving off.

I went towards an empty table and sit down. I look around trying to spot Ezekiel, but when I can't, I pull out my phone from my bag and planning to message Ezekiel when I felt a tap on my shoulders that made me jolt up.

"Hey... did I scare you?" Ezekiel softly ask, I smiled and shake my head.

"Not really, you're on time." I said and he shake his head before sitting across me.

"I was here earlier, hindi lang agad kita nakita nung dumating ka." He said and I nod.

He smiled at me, "So... shall we order? Ang daming choices." He said and I couldn't agree more. I nod and we stand up from our seat before walking from the first food stall.

"Ate,.. I'd like.,. one order of tempura, calamares.,. and.,.-

"Hey marami pa tayong pwedeng pagpilian." Ezekiel said and I nod,

"Yun nalang po ate, doon po ang table namin." I said as I  point at our table.

Next stall is Sisig, I ordered one sizzling and one crispy sisig. Then we ordered burgers and fries.

"Baka hindi na magkasya sa table natin. Lets just order again later." He said and I slowly nod, when we arrived at our table.

I pursed my lips, "Ahm... hey... I need to ask you something?" I said that made his head snap at my direction.

"What is it?" He softly ask, his hands clasped together on the table.

I bit my lower lip, "Are you aware of your parent's business?" I ask and I saw how he squints his eyes.

"I am... a bit." He said and I nod,

"Do you know... do you know if what business they are having right now? Projects or something?" I asked and he once again squints his eyes at me as if he's reading me or what.

Few seconds and he just kept on staring at me, before he chuckled.

"I know what's happening here... did you just... used the business as an excuse to be here?" He ask and my eyes widened.

"Not really... but....-

"But?" He ask and I sigh,

"Parang ganun na nga, its just... hindi ko alam kung paano sasabihin na makikipag kita ako sa friend ko, specially to guy. I'm sorry." I said and lowered my head.

"No no no, its fine. I understand, what do you need to know? Maybe I can give you some information." He said and my head snap up.

I took a deep breath, "Well... aren't you guys building a plantation near Pampanga?" I ask and he nods,

"Could you tell me what are the plants to be exactly planted in that plantation?" I asked,

He pull away and fix his shirt, "Well... I heard it'll be vegetables and ornamental plants. Which... may compete with your business." He said and I slowly nod.

"What about the other business? The... rumored product, what is it?" I asked and he tilts his head.

"I'm sorry but I can't tell you." He said, sounding bit upset which made my eyes widen.

"Oh my God, please don't be a upset. I'm sorry for asking, please don't be mad at me." I said and he burst into laughter.

"No Angel, its fine, its totally fine. Its just I'm not yet also familiar with the soon-to-be released product that's why I can't tell you." He replied and I was able to sigh in relief.

"Another thing..." I said and he hum,

"Can you... can you ask the secretary of your dad to accept the meeting that my father is trying to book to your company. Looks like my dad have been wanting to book a meeting with your company but failed. He said your company is strict when it comes to booking a meeting with them." I said and he chuckled.

"More on... masungit. Masungit ang mga tao sa company namin, trust me." He said while laughing a bit.

"Edi pati ikaw masungit?" I asked and he stopped laughing and look at me.

"Do I Angel? Mukha ba akong masungit?" He ask, leaning forward, close to me that made me move back a bit.

"I... hin-

"Order po maam, sir."
