AFTER filling our basket with the kamote leaves, we moved on to another area where they were tending chickens. The soft clucking and rustling of feathers greeted us as we approached. Loveliz, ever enthusiastic, said, “Dito, kumuha tayo ng fresh eggs. Ang sarap ng mga ito!”
We walked over to a small coop, and the worker inside smiled at us. “Magandang umaga! Gusto niyo po bang kumuha ng itlog? Ang sariwa, bagong-kakalabas lang.”
Loveliz's eyes sparkled. “Yes, please! Dalawang dosena po, kuya.” I watched her excitement as she carefully placed the eggs in our basket, making sure they wouldn’t crack.
After securing the eggs, we moved to a small stall where fresh poultry was displayed. Ang dami!
"Puwede bang kumuha ng manok dito?” I asked Loveliz, curious
