"Good morning everyone, once again I would like to introduce to everyone our new Chairman" said the doctor as he introduces me as the chairman of the Xuan Medical Hospital to every doctors that joined the conference.

"Mr. Ezekiel Clive, the great doctor of the Kairo University Hospital main branch, at such a young age he became the young chief surgeon of internal medicine" he continued to brag and even exaggerate things, will he gain something from me for doing this? Nah! I don't think so, anyway after introducing me and some exaggeration, the Joint Conference began.

It lasted for about 3 hours and their first operation is the removal of pancreas. I went straight to the Operating theater and wait for the main surgeon to arrive, the nurses are preparing the things needed while the patient is still awake and is conversing with the anesthesiologist. It is an easy operation, no harm will be done to the patient. I continued watching until my phone rings.

"Hello?" I said

"Ezekiel?" the president said

"Yes President, how are you?" he ask

"I am fine thank you, anyway I just got finish with the operation, it was a success and thanks to your LVAD his system is functioning really well" he said

"How about the heart is it accepting the new body?" I ask

"Yes, all thanks to god everything went well and the heart is pumping like it's in home" he said

"Congratulations President" I said

"Thank you, by the way, I had an urgent appointment in that country but I can't go, so I need you to attend the event" he said

"Again?" I ask, he's been doing this even if I was back in the main branch, he would call me and he will make me the proxy of him in attending the event of some sort

"Well what kind?" I mutter in a lower voice

"It's for the company, some people will come there to help you, you just need to converse with them"

"Would that be all?" I questioned

"Yes that's all, just do your best and there are prominent people there that wanted to enter Kairo International, watch them closely if they are worthy or not" he said

"Okay fine" I replied and we end the conversation after asking about my search, well I told him that James already has some lead but it takes a while before some good news can reach my ear.

"Do not worry you will meet them in no time" he said

"Oh yeah! I already meet the whole doctors of the hospital a while ago at the joint conference and they are great, but I will be evaluating them from time to time" I explained

"And yeah! They were shocked to witness that I am the Chairman of Xuan Medical Hospital" I added

"Why?" he ask

"What do you mean why, you didn't provide any pictures of mine, they thought I was a new doctor, anyway, that is all and oh, they'll start" I said

"Bye now I need to watch the performance of a doctor in this hospital" I said and end the call without letting him say a single word.

The operation continue and it took 4 hours before they finish, it's quite long anyway, it was great and he is meticulously doing his job to the highest level, its a good thing that they care for the patient, anyway I think this is the operation for today, I need to go.

"Doctor, you've done a great work" I said through the mic and left the room.

"Who is that sir?" a man ask beside the doctor

"That is the new Chairman of this hospital, so you guys must respect him as much as you respect the other doctors and your seniors, he might be young but his accomplishments are greater than anyone in this hospital" he explained.

This doctor is a book addict, he always read medical books every now and then until he discovered the magazine featuring the surgeon who changed the operation midway as the heart donor 's family refused to let go of their deceased family's heart, it was thanks to him that the boy continue to live and also he already has so many accomplishments in the field of thesis and in pharmaceutical industry, he is like a walking thesis maker and a medicine maker. That is how he knows Ezekiel as soon as he saw his face.

After making an incision in the abdomen of the female patient, I accessed her internal organs and find the area that I will sever, I first removed the head of pancreas, and followed by the beginning of the small intestines (duodenum) and the gallbladder and the bile duct, after securing everything, I sew the patient back by connecting the remaining parts of the pancreas and stomach in order to digest normally. Pancreaticoduodenectomy or whipple procedure, is the most common operation to remove a cancer in the head of pancreas. Whipple procedure a common yet a very complex operation that requires a surgeon with a lot of skills and experience. It carries a relatively high risk of complications that can be life threatening. When the operation is done in small hospitals or by doctors with less experience, as many as 80% of patients with this disease may die as a result of surgical complications. In contrast, when the operation is done in cancer centers by surgeons experienced in the procedure, fewer than 10% of patients die as a direct result of surgery.

I operated the patient after knowing that the surgeon had an accident, with no one at hand, I walk towards the operating room and set everything right. The nursing staff and the entire surgical team including myself will be monitoring the progress several times a day and watching for any signs of infection or complications to the patient. Her diet will be slowly advanced as tolerated. Most people can walk immediately after the operation but some can’t since they have a much more dangerous operation. I expect her to spend at least a week in the hospital, depending on her overall recovery. Well the operation went well I just need to wait for the best outcome after a week and she will be good for discharge.

Watching as the surgical team came with me send their thanks and praises, I also complimented them due to my fast operation, yet they still manage to follow through my step, they are brilliant personnel.

"Do you want some tea sir?" Sierra ask.

"No thanks, I will be preparing for the event tomorrow, is my clothes ready?" I ask, well this is about the party that I will be attending alone, I hope things move forward well, cause I do not like making things complicated.

"Yes sir, it's on the way to your suite, it comes with the invitation" she utter

"Thank you, by the way, I will be leaving early today cause I need to check something" I lied, I just want to go home and stay there, I wanted to do more operations but there are surgeons all over the operating room and I can't live like this after a single operation. I was operating up to 6 people a day before but now, I can't take this, I need to operate someone.

I think this become a habit, because I operate most patients before now that I can only do one person, I feel frustrated.

"Sir, we seem to have a problem" she said out of nowhere

"What is it?" I ask

"A man got stabbed and he's now under critical condition" she said

"Tell me on the way" I said as I grab my coat and rush out of the office.

I saw the man on the emergency room, they are injecting something to him, I checked the scanner it almost hit the heart directly.

"Send him to the OR now" I said, and the bed is push to the empty operating room

I followed the trail and stop in from of the scrub, there I scrub myself to disinfect after giving my coat to Sierra. The interns are amazing they check the area of the blade using the machine at the emergency room. As I watch how they locate the area, I imagine the exact position and if I may be right, a simple touch to the handle and it will hit the heart.

"Scalpel" I said and the nurse gave me the knife, I began the operation and throughout the whole procedure. Everything goes well and nothing happened to the patient aside from the sudden bleeding which the blade punctured, thankfully I tied it and manage to stop the bleeding from going any further. The whole operation took at least an hour and the patient is still under anesthesia.
