Naunang pumasok si Sierra sa loob ng event hall, ang okasyon pala ay patungkol sa pagkikita kita ng mga prominenteng mga tao sa idustriya ng bansang ito. Mga sikat na personalidad at mga politiko ay magkakasama sa isang lugar, though hindi ko sila kilala dahil ngayon lang naman ako pumunta sa ganitong okasyon. Oo, pumupunta ako bilang proxy ng president ng Kairo pero lahat ng iyon ay tungkol sa medisina, either new thesis is being presented or new theories on operation, iyon ang pinupuntahan ko, this is quite new to me a formal event.

"Sir, I found your seat" sabi ni Sierra,

"Let us go in" dagdag pa niya at ipinakita na sa akin ang daan papunta sa upuan ko,

Isang round table at may anim na upuan which means may mga kasama ako sa pwestong ito, hindi lang iyon nasa pinakaharap ang pwesto ko, ano nanyayare? tanong ko sa isip ko,

"Would you like something to eat sir?" tanong ni Shiela

"I can take care of it later, why don't you sit down first" sabi ko sa kanya, hindi siya gumalaw sa pwesto, tumayo lamang siya sa likuran ko.

"I'm sorry sir, I can't sit there" sabi niya, tumango nalang ako bilang tugon.

"Well then why don't you get some air first and come back later" saad ko at yumuko na lang siya bago humingi nang paumanhin para umalis sandali.

Nakatingin lamang ako sa paligid at padami ng padami ang mga tao, hindi ko sila kilala, sheesh! sana meron man lang akong kakilala, pero nasa ibang lugar ako at hindi ko maalala ang nakaraan ko kaya, I am hoping na kahit papaano ay meron nakakakilala sa akin that will lead me to the people on the picture, anyway, kinalaunan ay nagsimula na ang event as the event hall is already full. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, this is the Chairman of Xuan Medical Hospital so as the Proxy of our President, Mr. Sanderson of the Kairo Medical Hospital" Sierra introduced me, nagsilakihan naman ang kanilang mga mata,

"What?" apat sa kanila ay napasigaw which caught the attention of most people, sheesh! can't they at least control their voice.

"I thought no one came from Kairo" the old man said, he's the only person who did not budge like the others.

"Yes, they did not come, so they sent me as their proxy" sabi ko naman

"How old are you?" he ask

"I am sorry, let me introduce myself, I am Ezekiel Clive, I am currently 33 years old and I am the chairman of Xuan Medical Hospital, and a Surgeon" I said

"Clive?" I nod in response after he say my family name while thinking.

"Anyway ladies and gentlemen, it seems that there's no need for me to be here, I shall take my leave" I said and tried to stand when a familiar voice came from the back

"I thought you would not come" that's!!

"What are you doing here?" I ask

"Well I can't wait to see my friend how's he doing in a foreign country so I came here with the help of the Chairman" President came and he's standing right beside Sierra, he's laughing, he saw everything.

"I thought you’ll visit me in the next 3 months?", he just shook his head and explain his sudden arrival, if not for this event he might come next month, but because there's changes in the event and he's been delayed on the flight, he called me and let me attend as a proxy as he try to come as fast as he can.

Nagpatuloy lamang sila sa pag-uusap at humingi ako ng paumanhin para umalis, sinamahan naman ako ni Shiela papunta sa kung saan nakalagay ang mga pagkain.

"I shall eat everything tonight" I said to myself and Sierra continued to follow me

"Hey you can grab yours too" sabi ko sa kanya at yumuko lang ito at kumuha na ng plato.

Hindi nagtagal ay umakyat na sa stage ang anim na tao na nasa mesa kanina at doon ay isa isang ipinakilala sa lahat kung sinu-sino sila. Ang lima sa kanila ay mula sa bansang ito at sila ay ang bumubuo sa halos lahat ng negosyo dito, sila ang pinakasikat at prominenteng pamilya sa bansang ito, samantala ipinakilala na din ang presidente sa lahat bilang representative ng Kairo Internationals.

"I'm so sorry" bumalik ako sa huwisyo at tinignan ang nangyari, nakayuko si Sierra sa isang lalaki.

"Do you know how expensive this is?" the man shouted which cause a commotion and caught the attention of others.

"What happened?" I ask Sierra, and she told me that the man suddenly walk pass her which made her to spill the red wine on his clothes.

"You can just speak nicely sir, we can solve this" I said

"Speak nicely? what do you take me for, I am the representative of Gale Motors and what will I do now with this stained clothes" sabi pa niya, napahinga na lang ako ng malalim, hindi lang iyon ang mga tao ay nagsimula nang magbulong bulungan.Gale Motors, one of the popular vehicle industry, and I think he's here to meet those 6 people to gain access on their joint investment foundation.

"Sierra, why don't you leave first and prepare the car" I said and she look at me, ngumiti na lamang ako sa kanya at tumang.

"Where do you think you're going b***h?" he shouted which made everyone stop from their gossip.

"You know what, if not for my friend inviting me here, I would not have come, tell me how much that piece of clothe is and I'll compensate" I utter, despite getting angry I need to have my mind at ease or I might punch this son of a prick in front of everyone.

"Compensate, do you know how much it cost me?" why would you buy so expensive things if you can't afford to stain it.

"What is happening here?" the old man said.

"Oh! nothing sir, it's just that someone spilled some wine and he's getting into my nerve" he said as he shove me away and talk to the old man, the other people beside the old man widen their eyes as they saw me being pushed.

"Are you okay El" President ask.

"I am fine, I need to leave, can I?" I ask him,

"Tell me what happen first" so I told him everything since Sierra was responsible for the accident but I can't just leave her be, I need to protect my people.

"Gale Motors right?" President said.

"Yes, Mister Sanderson, I am really glad you know me" he said proudly, such an attention seeker this prick.

"Do you know this person?" the president asks.

"I don't sir" he said, though I can see he is starting to get nervous.

"He is the proxy of Kairo Internationals and a savior of I the president and the Chairman, he also represent the Xuan Medical Hospital as the chairman of the hospital" Sanderson proudly said, I slap my forehead, I don't like attention okay! I prefer living inside a cave than looking at the blinding camera in front of me.

"Ezekiel, what will you do now?" he ased.

"I'll let you handle things here Joel, I am tired I need to rest" I excuse myself. Humingi din ako ng paumanhin si ibang mga tao na ngayon ay nakapalibot na sa amin, tumingin ako sa matanda at yumuko bilang paghingi ng paumanhin.

"Have a good rest Doctor Clive" sabi nito at hinayaan na akong umalis

"Well it seem that you got into his nerve, consider any appointment with the foundation canceled" sabi ni Joel, I walk out of the event hall and straight into the car. But before I can get in, the president is already behind me together with the old man

"El, Mr. Joseph wanted to talk to you" I look around and bow as soon as I face him

"No need for formality, can I ask where you were born?" he ask

"I... I am sorry sir but I can't remember my past. I only remember things when I was working at the hospital, the rest I also wanted to know myself" I said, he nod his head twice before handing me his business card. I hand it right away to Sierra and excuse myself.

"Once again I would like to apologize for the sudden predicament, I and my secretary would like to excuse ourselves and please enjoy your night, thank you Mister Joseph, Joel, I shall take my leave" I explained and they both let me leave for the night.
