Prologue
Where could they gone to? They had been gone since early in the morning. I was getting bored here. The maids were just ignoring me and David was not here yet because I made him buy me my favorite chocolate dessert.
I decided to roam around the huge mansion. When I got bored, I walked out to the yard.
The front yard was so huge for me. It was grassy but had a stoney pathway for the cars.
I started skipping on the stoney way and was engrossed with the different stones I skipped that I didn't notice that I was heading to the front gate.
I stopped skipping when something caught my attention, someone.
I held two bars as I popped my head between the bars of the gate. I stared curiously at a girl on the other side of the road.
She was wearing a red sweater and cute apple printed had in a cute white shoes. She had a white bennie on her black hair and white scarf around her neck.
She just stood there unmoving by the sidewalk.
For an unknown reason, I wanted to go to her.
I opened the gate and slowly looked left and right. I waited for a car to pass by and crossed the road.
I ran enthusiastically to the other side of the road and slowly walked to her.
She hadn't noticed me yet. She was just staring at the ground with her hands behind her back.
She looked so cute. Around my age or younger. No, much more younger than me.
"Hi." I tried to catch her attention and surprisingly I did. She looked up at me.
Her bright green eyes were so beautiful. I wanted to have that eyes too. But instead I had blue ones. But, it was okay. I looked like my grandfather.
"I'm Louis. What's your name?" I asked with a smile.
But she just stared at me like she was identifying what and who I was.
"Want to play with me?" I asked again.
For the longest time, she finally spoke. "Play?" Her eyes brightened.
Her voice was too cute and adorable, like her.
I nodded my head. "Yes. Let's play in there." I pointed the mansion in front of us.
"Okay." She immediately grabbed my hand and dragged me to where I pointed earlier.
My eyes widened when she just ran across the road. Thankfully, we just received honks.
"What do you want to play?" I asked when we were safe in the the gates.
"I don't know." She said, completely clueless.
"I know. Why don't we play hide and seek?" I suggested.
"Hide and seek?" She repeated.
I nodded. "Yeah. You hide, I'll seek for you."
"Alright."
"You can hide where ever you like but not outside nor inside the mansion. This place is enormous and I do not want to look for you for so long, okay?"
She nodded her head and started running. I turned my back at her as she hides. I started counting loudly.
"...97! 98! 99! 100! Ready or not here I come!"
I ran to where she headed, to the garden.
"Hey, little girl, where are you?" I asked in a sing-song manner as I scan the garden.
I walked to every bushes and even trees yet I still can't find her. This was the only place she can hide if she headed this way.
I was getting a bit frustrated and tired looking for her. Maybe she had left too.
I was sitting on one of the chairs in here in the shade of the tree. Then, I noticed a scarf lying on the root of the tree beside me.
I picked it up and roamed my eyes at the place before I heard giggles. I quickly turned my head to the direction where I heard it but I see no little girl.
"Little girl, where are you? You win." I said in defeat.
The giggles were getting louder and some leaves were falling from above me. I looked up to see the branches slightly swaying and more leaves falling. Then, I saw a glimpse of pink up above.
She was sitting comfortably on one of the branches of the tree and giggling down at me. What got me nervous was that she was too high form me and a bit jealous. I wanted to climb a tree too.
"How did you get there?" I asked with a pout, jealousy overpowered my worry.
"I climbed." She simply answered.
"Can you get down now?"
I didn't want to see her all high up there when I couldn't even climb a double decker bed.
It amazed me how she climbed down the tree. She jumped like it was not scary and high. She jumped to the ground and rolled and then, she was already in front of me with a huge smile as she looked at my stunned expression.
"That was awesome!" I exclaimed.
"Where did you learn that?"
"From my grandfather." she said with a slight pink cheeks. So cute.
I removed the dirt off her white scarf before carefully wrapping it back around her small neck.
"Thank you." she shyly said.
"You're welcome."
"You want to go in and play inside?"
She nodded eagerly before I took her hand and dragged her in the mansion. The maids looked at us but I ignored them.
They just ignored me earlier so I would ignore them now. Revenge.
I smirked at them as I tighten my hold on her soft and small hands. So they can see that I can find someone to accompany me and be my friend.
I dragged her to my room, where all my toys were. But, I didn't know if she would like my toys. It was all robots, cars and some stuff toys. The robots and cars were from my dad and grandpa while the stuff toys were from mom.
"It's so bright in here." That was the first words she said when we entered my room.
"You want me to close the curtains?" She nodded her head yes.
I got a hard time dragging the heavy curtains. Actually, I never touched the curtain because I always liked to be in a bright place but I didn't want Little girl to leave yet so I had to close the curtains for now.
"What's your name, little girl?" I asked her.
I keep calling her Little girl. Though, she's a cute little girl I must say. So adorable.
"My mom calls me Bella. My dad calls me Belle." she answered me.
She has so many names. What should I call her?
"What do you want me to call you?" I asked when I couldn't decide what to call her.
"Bella."
"Alright, Bella, want to meet Mr. Greeny?"
...
We played for almost 2 hours. We just stayed in my room and played with Mr. Greeny, my turtle stuff toy. Bella liked playing with Mr. Greeny so I had to play with Rexy for now so she can play more.
We were having a fun time when the door suddenly opened. Mom and Dad were at the door with anxious looks on their faces.
What happened?
They walked to us. I felt Bella's small hands grabbing my mine as she hid behind me. It looked like she was frightened with the sudden fright.
"What's wrong, Mom? You frightened my friend." I told them.
They looked at each other before sighing, in relief?
They slowly walked towards us which made Belle tighten her hold of my hand.
I faced her with a smile and hugged her for her to feel safe. Her small face looked up to me and I saw how her nervous face softened.
"Don't be nervous. They're just my mom and dad." I smiled at her and unconsciously caress her small chubby cheeks. Her cheeks were rosy pink with her white smooth skin.
So adorably beautiful.
I stood up with her in my arms. I always wanted to carry a small kid, smaller kid.
She broke into a wide grin then hugged me by my neck then rested her face on my neck. It was kinda ticklish.
I looked up to my parents who were so engross in watching us with those wide grins on their faces.
I looked at them confused which made them snap to reality.
"Her family had been looking for her since morning. Where did you see her?" Mom asked, she still had that confusing grin.
"I saw her staring at the ground on the other side of the road. So I invited her to play." I said.
Mom's face immediately got worried and she knelt in front of us.
"You crossed the road without an adult?"
I nodded my head feeling a little guilty. I shouldn't have crossed the road but I just wanted to get to Bella who looked so lost on the other side of the road.
"I'm sorry." That was all I could say.
Mom heaved a sigh before turning her attention to Bella who was still adorably hugging me. I didn't mind that she was a little heavy because I liked it. I liked the fact that I can hold her like this.
"You want to see your mum, Belle?" Mom asked.
Bella looked at me before nodding.
I looked up to my mom. "Mom, can I carry her down?" I hopefully asked.
My mom nodded. "Just be careful."
I looked at Bella and she was already looking at me with her big green eyes. "Hang on, Bella, okay? I won't let you fall, promise." I smiled at her before kissing her chubby cheeks.
We slowly climbed down the grand staircase of the mansion. Bella clinging onto me and me hugging her tightly not to fall.
When we got down, two people were standing below the staircase. They immediately ran towards us when they saw us coming down. They immediately took Bella from me leaving me pouting because I still want to carry her.
"Bella, where had you been?" the lady asked.
"I was just walking around the mansion when I saw a little cat. I followed it then got lost, Mummy." Bella explained with her cute little voice.
The lady's eyes turned to me and she smiled. "Thank you for keeping my daughter safe in here, Louis." she said.
I was surprised that she knew my name but I didn't know her.
I just nodded my head to them.
"Let's go home, Belle?" the man asked.
I turned to him. He looked so much like Bella. He was like the man version of Bella!
Bella turned to me and she made her mommy lower down to my level.
I didn't expect what she did and I just stood there stunned as she waved her little hands to me goodbye.
"Bye, Louie."
She kissed me on my lips.
